Thanks for the advice on nits (on here and from moose who is still reading but no time to post I think, so big hugs to her).
Dog- I am trying really hard to tie her hair bak tight but its really flyaway, tempted to put hairspray on to stop the strands flying out.
Clever Isla doing a potty-poo!! I am bypassing the potty with Z and plan to do him straight onto the toilet as I HATED the potty with DD, just found it all a bit yucky. So far he sits on the toilet (on his seat) before and after a bath for about 1 minute, pokes his willy down and says 'weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, weeeeeeeeee' and then asks for toilet paper. He has not actually DONE one yet but just geting used to it, lol!
So,we have used lyclear which is natural based and seems to have done the job. I am dry combing every day and going to wet comb every other day but not got anymore out so far. Going to get some leave in spray today, apparantly morrisons have a good tea-tree one. Also going to order the cocnut shampoo and conditioner that moose recommended. washed all the pillowcases, towels, hairbrushes, hats etc but research online does seem to suggest they don't live for very long once off the head. It feels like a war!!!
Told them at school and they said that they don't send a letter out until 2 or 3 are infected. I was a bit
at this as it only takes one child obviously to keep spreading it around so I decided to tell all the mums who I know have DD's that play with mine. It was quite embarrassing but most of them have got older DC's so had all been there before and actually said it was a good reminder to check as they hadn't been doing it regularly.
anyway, enough of the nit-talk as I am now scratching again!!!
Chef- good purchases, hope your feeling less tired now. I remember it lasted exactly 12 weeks with both of mine and then I felt fine till the very last few weeks.
Tea- good you had a better night. I don't know how you manage without a lie-in. Are ther any close friends who would maybe just have one for a sleepover occasionally? Hope your exH gets himself sorted soon and then at least you may be able to look forward to some respite when they are a bit older.
Books- good news on the shoulder.
Ray- How has E been in the night, any better? I have to say that I have found taking them into bed for the odd cuddle when they are unsettled through illness is not habit-forming at this stage. They are old enough to know that the cot/bed is there main sleeping place. So don't beat yourself up about it if it feels like the natural thing to do. We have never made an issue of it with ours and haven't had any problems
Tree- hope the form filling is going ok. You must be really looking forward to next week. How is the car?
Tink- nice floor! I am jealous, DH won't ever do anything handy, he just makes such a hash of it
Half-term starts today for me, DD finishes tomorrow, hurrah!!!!!!!!
Been SUCH a long term, DH has his first full week off next week so we are looking forward to some family time together, rather than a few months ago I would have been dreading it a little so thats a definite improvement. Last relate session for now last night, we have run out of money for it but also have reached a stage where we want to try on our own for a bit, talking is so much easier now so I think it has really helped
Oh, books.....we are going to cadburyworld on tuesday, have you been? any tips?
have a nice day all x
