Woo-hoo chef!GrinGrinGrin.

Possible sand-related names on the cardsWink

Although bummer for typing out all those grin's and then not working!

Have read all and thinking of everyone.

Tree, your poor DDSad must be so frustrating for you and her that not many people really takes it seriously

Dog- 7 days!!Shock wtf???? And bloody good luck to you, I bled for 4 weeks with both of mine, it was yucky, it sucked and was the only thing that I didn't like about that stage as so happy after both of mine even through zero sleep and rock-hard boobiesGrin

Lenni- I know exactly what you mean about the grammar thing, but get this....I have always been really against them but recently found myself thinking that if we still live here in 6 years time (ie: crummy secondary as our catchment) and DD can't get into my school then I would consider allowing her to take the test for the girls school. WTF!! I was disgusted with myself but confided in DH who thought exactly the same! So, in a nutshell I would now have no qualms about working there as it would pay the bills etc, despite turing down a job offer there 6 years ago (pre DC....he-he!).

MissJ- Yay for N in his big-boy bed! What real progress for you and glad you enjoyed strething out with DH.Wink

HZ, Tea and books glad your DC's all enjoying heir nursery.

Moose-sorry about your poor sis.

Right.....memory run out!

DH fell over in town at lunchtime today as his legs simply gave way, he was mortifiedSad MRI tomorrow so fingers crossed that it is not as bad as we think.

Jeez- loads of typos there! Sorry!

Tea- forgot to say sorry for you having a bad day, I really laid into one of the kids at school today and then felt really guilty afterwards, I never do that. The poor lad had only forgot his homework but I kicked off because he didn't apologise he just said 'I haven't done it, I'll give it to you tomorrow'....like a massive assumption on his part. Had the word 'sorry' been inserted I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Still, I will extra nice to him next lesson!

I didn't type it out, just copy and paste and hold down the button. lol. My goodness, I would have gone mad if I typed it out..lol

PatTheHammer · 21/09/2010 21:54

Thanks books, he has a cut hand but mostly wounded pride I think. He was with two work-mates who thankfully helped him up and didn't laugh!
I think the MRI will be fine, he had a yearly CT scan and sometimes MRI from 18-25yrs due to previous health issue so I think he can just about remember those, hopefully!

PatTheHammer · 21/09/2010 21:56

Chef- what has DH said??? Bet he is loving it! What will your age gap be and what season is the baby due, must be a May/June baby no?

treedelivery · 21/09/2010 22:04

Wooooo Hooooooo Chef. How wonderful. I thought it was postive when we didn't hear straight away. DOn't know why. Oh how lovely jubly. Brilliant.

Pat - (((((((hugs))))))

I have no words of wisdom for you Lenni and the job, or Tea and your hard day. Sorry Blush
Sorry to hear about your sis Moose, hope you get to see her lots.

Sorry not good for much at the moment.

dog in all my excitement over your sex life Blush I forgot to say thanks so much for offer of tea and clary sage... but still have a stash left over from last time which I never got around to using. Maybe hkz wants?

Have read all but too tired to type anything meaningful.

Night all. Thanks again for brilliant news chef

missjackson · 21/09/2010 22:19

x-posted with dog, who seems to be speaking another language Confused Grin

treedelivery · 21/09/2010 22:27

Thats 2 big smiles this thread has given me today. The only smiles today I think. First Chef and now DOG's alternative language Grin. Thanks for all the warmth in general, you are all lovely.

Thanks Moosey.

Pat, poor DH. Good luck for his MRI tomorrow.

Tea please don't fret. Its hard enough getting through the day with two very young dcs when there is someone to share the load. You are doing a brilliant job. We all reach the end of our rope sometimes. As Books said, tomorrow's a new day. I was so fed up of ds1 by bedtime tonight that I refused to go up and talk to him about his regular list of 50,000 worries. I usually do, but I just knew I would end up losing patience with him and figured not going up there was better than shouting at him. Dh had already had a chat with him, but he wanted me to go over it all again. He's been a nightmare this afternoon, can't wait for him to go back to school tomorrow.

Tree, so sorry I missed your thread in SN. I have posted now, but haven't much to add to the other lovely posters I'm afraid. Am here if you need to sound off though. ((hugs))

My sdad is in the bad books with Mum after complaining that he had to fetch dsis from London. Apparently he said words to the effect of "I don't understand why she needs nursing - Moose managed ok and she had 3 dcs to look after as well". I am gobsmacked, he always takes dsis's side usually and nothing is too much trouble for her, she is so very PLB! Poor girl, apparently its actually the ankle bone itself she has cracked and she's in a lot of pain.

Lenni, dh has recently been offered an interview at britain's largest pork and bacon manufacturer! Shock He did turn it down. On the other hand he has had interest from two betting organisations and is a little less sure there. He doesn't really agree with gambling (tax on the poor and all that) but at the same time is desperate to move jobs and bring in some more money. I think he's hanging out for a role at one of the three breweries that his recruitment agent is speaking to on his behalf - oh and Bravissimo - now that would be worth it if he got a good staff discount! Grin

Right, I guess I'd better head off to bed. I have to do the school run on my own in the morning while dh takes the dog in for her op. He is currently sitting on the floor giving her a thorough groom and she's loving every minute of it.

Sorry if I've missed anyone.

moosemama · 21/09/2010 23:25

OK, I lied before. But I am going to bed now - honest.

Just thought I would share this thread with you all before I go though. It has made me laugh out loud several times and I thought some of us could do with a little light relief.

Night all. x

chefswife · 22/09/2010 04:13

Thanks for that Moose Some very funny things on there. I posted too. I go crazy for some bizarre reason when my uncle's girlfriend parks in our spot in the driveway when I know that she will have left before DH gets home. Crazy of me. What friggin difference does it make. lol

Just posted to my new ante-natal thread... May babies. Due date is the 27th. Rang midwife today too and she is available! So shocking in this area as there is a baby boom. But remember, DD was 3 1/2 weeks early too.

I feel fantastic! I have my mum's monthly dinner tomorrow and I'm going to drop it on all of them. 4 of them just had their 2nd's, one had her 5th, ones due date is end of November and three are TTC.

Sorry, I know I said I would catch up tonight but you all can appreciate how quickly your day changes to exhaustion by night. All a good Wednesday to ya. Grin

Be back in 10hours. lol

chefswife · 22/09/2010 04:14

Oh forgot... DH is over the moon.

hackneyzoo · 22/09/2010 11:03

Congratulations on sandbaby Chey Grin yay!

moosemama · 22/09/2010 11:31

Morning, congratulations again Chef - has it sunk in yet?

I'm peeved this morning. I won't get to see my sister today because our flipping lurcher won't stop howling and whining and our neighbours are in. He is pining for his best mate who is at the vet having her ear operated on.

I won't get to see her for the rest of the week either, because the dog that's having the op will have stitches and a drain, so can't be left alone.

I also have a problem on Saturday, as its my nephew's birthday and we are supposed to be going there for lunch before he goes off to his dad's house. The poor boy has had a really tough year and really wants my boys there, but now we won't be able to leave the dog. We also can't take the her with us, because my stepdad is phobic and absolutely terrified of dogs. Gah!

What a proper pita.

AND

I still haven't had chance to do any baking. Harumph!

Please ignore me, yet another night of practically no sleep - dd is finding this full-arm fibreglass cast much harder to cope with than the temporary one and just cannot seem to sleep for longer than a half hour stretch. Dh also snored like a pig all night - which didn't help either and I was up at 6.30 this morning, whilst he carried on snoring until 7.30. Hmm

Rrrrayray · 22/09/2010 11:42

just a flying visit.

Congrats Chef xxxx

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 22/09/2010 12:10

morning

yes ok thanks fater tyre blew!!

congrats chef Grin

eyeing up lush toddler beds on gltc Grin getting one nov
not sure what sensible amount to spend is but looks lush

hi everyone else

treedelivery · 22/09/2010 13:16

Hi

I missed about your tyre Tink - scary! Glad you are ok though, were dd's with you?

Bummer Moose! Understatement of course, is there no way around it all. Get sis in taxi over to yours? Hope doggie is ok today.
Have you a sort of something, so you could take doggie to nephews at the weekend? Like a large sleeping cage that you could put in garden for an hour?
DOn't know how far they are away from you, but I guess other option is dh drops you and boys off, and goes home or takes dog for nice walk. That might work?

Chef - just great news. Have new thread envy. It will never be as ultra fabborooony as ours of course Grin Only joking...HmmGrin

Good luck today PAt, when the results/opinion be made available? Is it a scan and leave thing, or review there and then?

Well, today I surprised myself I took dd2 swimming. DD2 is clearly a contender for fututre extreme sports events, she is very lke daddy. I hate swmming, can't bear getting wet anyway, makes my skin sore, hate feeling damp and tired after. Too many sensations by about 99%.
She loved it. Of course. Spent £50 of overdraft signing up for the rest of term - I can certainly attend the next 4 of 7 classes, after that I'll have to request with work. I also need to request the nativity and fair at school, so I need to be careful or I'll be in trouble.
So hopefully will get to more than 4 or they will be mighty expensive classes!

Now have bouncing headache. It has to go as I have parents eve 10 mins after school. Maybe I'll suggest the 'issue' is discussed seperately at a meeting, and keep today about reading programme etc.

Hope all well in new baby land DOG

Hello to all Smile

moosemama · 22/09/2010 13:28

Hi Tree

Just taking a break from typing ds1's OT referral that came in this morning. Such a pita to have to repeat everything for every blardy new professional we happen across.

When we had 'sensitive' stuff to discuss with ds1's teacher last year, we told her we wanted to keep parents' evening strictly school-work related, but wanted a separate meeting in private (ie not in the school hall with all the other Mums earwigging) to discuss the other matters. She agreed with us that that was probably the best way forward as they only have such short time-slots at parents' evening.

Well done for going swimming. I haven't worn a swimsuit since I was 17! (Don't want to frighten the natives y'know. Grin) I really should get dd there soon though, if for no other reason that to avoid repeating all the same angst with her that I've just had with ds1, when he started school lessons.

Thanks for suggestions re the dog problem. Sis lives a good hour and a half away, that's what's making it so awkward to organise. Am going to double check whether my step dad is actually going to be there and if not, will ask if she can come with us. She does have a crate and actually loves being in there, but we won't be able to take our eyes of her, as she is an inveterate scratcher and bound to split her stitches the minute we turn our backs. May even end up with either her in our bedroom, or one of us sleeping downstairs so we can keep an eye on her. We seriously can't afford for her to do more damage that costs us even more money.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 22/09/2010 14:37

well done tree Grin
i take dd2 swimming to lessons she luvs it too
i am fine thanks had dd2 with me Hmm

hi mm

chefswife · 22/09/2010 15:58

Moose I'm going to say its like Hurricane Igor is hanging around your house. lolGrin Its so funny that for the most part I can manage the lack of sleep but to have DH roaring next to me gets me in such a state I get right pissed off if I can't get to sleep because he's snoring. I now wake him and tell him to move to the couch. I've discovered too that his snoring is bad when he has a whisky before bedtime, which I can appreciate cause he works hard but the snoring. Gad!!!!lol

Ray Been meaning to say nice to have you back here... at least I keep up with you on FB... Little E is so cute... Well, they all are. It so wonderful to see them become little people.

Tink Indeed, toddler beds. I think we will be making a trip to the mainland to Ikea soon. However, having said that, I'm very into this whole internet shopping thing. Besides, last time I went to Ikea, my waters broke on the ferry back...lol Do you have any lush toddler bed sites in mind?

Tree What a trooper for taking DD2 swimming. My friend hates the water too, well, just the swimming part as she dislikes water splashed in her face. She'll take her DD swimming but won't sign her up because she can't bare to do it week after week. Your skin probably feels like that because of the chemicals... all the pools here are now saline with minimal chlorine... so nice, plus you float better..lol DD and I on the other hand go every week since she about 10 weeks old. She cruises around the pool like she owns the place now, knows all the good toys and even asks for a ball now. We always have a hot tub after too.

Well, Girls, hope your hump day is treating you well. I'm starting mine off with a visit to the dentist but ending it with dinner with my mommy friends. Ciao for now.
