not sure tea. you could try logging off and on again? can you tell I work in IT?

Moosey, it sounds like it's all easing off again for you. Hope you do get a baking day tomorrow! I very much enjoyed mine.

Tree - did you see my latest FB pic - another one of my H in a dress (no wonder everyone thinks he is a girl! He is going mad for trains ATM and every morning asks me for some. Never had this prob with DD. Guess she didn't have any exposure to them at this age. grr.

Books, DD has just started her free nursery place too, she is doing two full days and a half and seems to like it...she has to wear the Primary School uniform, everytime I see her in it I cry! Where did the last 3.5 years go?

120 very good pic. Jude has a lovely pink handbag that would compliment H's dress nicely. he is into handbags at the mo!

Tink, hope you are ok after your blow out, I have had that happen, its scary.

Glad things are callmer Moose.

Tree, poor DH...that sucks having to do all that hoop jumping. Have a good playdate.

I was thinking about Elkie earlier, has anyone heard from her? I hope her Mum is doing ok. And Gumps, where's Gumps?

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 15:45

4.09pm is when she'll be doing the test isn't it? As she said at 5.19 this morning she's be doing it in 10.50 hrs. Have I got the Math about right? Confused

DD began 2 mornings a week at Pre School in Jan. Since September she's gone up to 4 mornings a week 9.15am to 1pm and having lunch there. She does love having lunch there and was very cross on Friday as I collected her early and she didn't get lunch there as usual. She doesn't begin nursery until January.

Be nice for you to see your sister Moose, hope she gets better soon and enjoys the rest at your mums.

Lovely your DD was such a good girl when having cast re-done. Hopefully she won't get out of this one Wink

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 16:01

120 - I tried logging off and on and clearing my cookies too. Funnily enough it's begun working again but not because of anything I tried, as none of that helped.

Ooo has anybody seen the new inbox at the top of the page? Apparently you just click on message poster at the top of one of their posts and you can send them a private message.

If you receive a message there is a red dot at the top of the page to let you know.

So much better than waiting for CAT messages.

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 19:02

Terrible afternoon with DCs they were both causing trouble and I went up like a nuclear missile, not once but several times Blush Serves me right for feeling smug because earlier in the day things were going so well.

Set up caller id today, so I can screen calls from FIL/ MIL lo and behold my first call was him. I feel so guilty to not have answered, he didn't leave a message though Shock

I'm alright. Thanks 120. Bit up high stress wise as have some stuff on at school. Regarding her constipation, there is a thread in special needs called 'vibrating thingie' or something. Can't link at moment, sorry.

Hhhhhooooo worry worry worry. It must suit me or something.

Love to all. Have read but no retention. Sorry! Head up my arse.

heres one for ya

1 - Counting: useful for those who have never worked with the breath much before.
Sit down for meditation and fix your attention on the breath at that point where you most easily notice it. Say, at the belly*. If the breath is not clearly seen try a few extended breaths - deeply in, and deeply out - so as to get a good feel of the breath. You could even put your hand on your belly to assist this.

Very consciously watch the sequence of in-and-out breaths. Note the breath as it enters, and note the breath as it leaves, watching the movement of the body - the rise and fall of the abdomen. When you have established your awareness of the breath, begin counting each breath. This can be done in several ways.

Try just counting on the in-breaths; up to ten. Then start again at one. This is repeated over and over from one to ten. The counting provides a support for the mind; something a little more tangible to hold. If you aren't sure how far you have counted then you know that your mind has wandered; start the counting over again.

Meditation is not about getting anything - and particularly, you don't have to get the breath. Just relax - and watch the show. Do this for about 10 to 30 minutes at one sitting; twice a day for several weeks.

Erm, weren't we promised a pregnancy testing type thing around now??

Lenni · 21/09/2010 20:24

Sorry, that was terrible timing. Will go read thread Tree. Hope you are ok.

And apologies for getting carried away trying out the messaging thing on people. I am a small child really.

Lenni · 21/09/2010 20:48

Have read, agree needs sorting. When is your meeting?

Have found another job to apply for, but it's in a grammar school. Am thinking I'm not really destined for a grammar school, particularly as I don't believe they should exist. And this one is about to become an academy, can you apply for a job that you don't think should exist? Erm.

I best go, am not meant to be here. Am meant to be packing, washign self and sleeping.

teaandcakeplease · 21/09/2010 21:23

If it pays the bills Lenni I'd apply but the again if it is truly against your principles then maybe not Hmm

Chef is terribly quiet. This waiting is hard Wink

Sorry Ladies... I did test this morning but then the morning got going and DD and I went swimming and finally I made it to the computer. The test said 3 weeks so that means it was in the sand pit in Ontario...(DH and I pulled into a sand pit, (natural sand pits for road sand) and as DD slept, we ripped one off. Grin

Sorry as well, as I haven't read anything here since my last post but I will catch up tonight.

chefswife · 21/09/2010 21:32
