Where's you thread tea? Hope you are ok love. It's knackering, to be sure.

Tink - hope tops come for your jolly hols. Where you off too?

Good luck with it all 120. Just had your amazing brownies, in bed, with cold milk. Happy days. Thinking of tommorow when will be 2 hours into 12 hour shift and craving a repeat performance. Oh well. Best make the most of tonight.

Hi Books. The bakery is a little one woman show, in her garden. She bakes in a wood fired stove, using fairtrade everthing, and is generally right on in her approach to it all. Was dying to nosy in her house as was walkign past it to the hut - but manfully resisted. Grin Had her cread with butter and jam, before the brownie. My kind of evening meal Grin

So today we went to a rock factory, and dd got to roll out some...er...rock. And watch rock being made. And watch where rock came from. And all things rock. Then went to awful pub with soft play thingie. Had to have huge gammon and chips to make it bearable. Blush. Had sold 2 items on Cloth Nappy Tree so that paid for today.

DD1 goes to nannas fro a week tomorrow. I'll miss her so much, I might have to go visit on wed or sometime. I'll be able to reclaim the house a little in the week though, I can't see corners anymore. They have crap in them.

OOOOOO - my mum found the lost school shirts. They were in her sewing bag. Must be some big bag! Thank lordy, we could ill afford to replace them.

teaandcakeplease · 06/08/2010 23:00

here Tree

Glad you found the skirts I did ask the man upstairs for you Wink

Dummy fairy is visiting our house tomorrow, wish me luck. I cannot cope with anymore tantrums from her over it, she's 3 now, so she's a big girl in my book. I've been warning her for weeks, that it was coming. Any top tips for me?

treedelivery · 06/08/2010 23:04

You could break it. Bite the end off, and tell her that it's broken and could actually be a bit unsafe, and there is no point getting another as the fairy would like it. The fairy will recycle it.

A freind had great success with a broken dummy, he bit his and she took that chance to not replace it. Off to look at your thread.

woohoo! congrats that it has turned (I remember that being quite painful - DD turned at 35 weeks). Definitely get some brownies ready. I'll post my labour biscuit recipe too as that has got about 5 of my friends through it (just the right amount of sugar, oats and chocolate to make them healthy and just the right amount of american cookie-ness to make them extremely moreish. I had to stop making them as they were the only biscuit I couldn't refuse and my arse wasn't getting any smaller!

treedelivery · 07/08/2010 10:52

How come it's taken us 2 years to do pretty much what Dog is doing in a week????

Many woop woops about head down baby and labour pompoms dusted off and ready to wave!! Grin

The egg is due too Smile

hackneyzoo · 07/08/2010 13:00

Hello everyone, have breifly read through the new thread s..

Pat sorry about your Ma, and you H situation, lots of positive vibes coming your way, you souond very strong, hope you are doing ok x

Dog.... If you are doing the HB thing I am happy to send you my birthpool and pump, am sure it would only cost about a tenner to courier (some lovely lady gave it to me on freecycyle as she didn't get to use it..) But it could save you a few quid and as long as its backin Hackney by January....it could be the thread communal birthing pool..missj do you want a lend?

120 Spill the goss on the househunting...have you found anywhere? Where are you looking?

Sorry for all those having DD troubles.

MissJ am very happy for you that the scan was good. roll on more thread babies. Hope the next 3 weeks pass uneventfully and safely

Well having an amazing holiday. Had lovely time up in Andalucian hills, the Costa Del SOl is pretty overdeveloped and touristy in a bad cheesey I'm a bit embaressed to be British sort of way, but we did manage to find a few secluded spots.
J is walking and trying to compete with his sister on the noise making front. DD is driving me a bit insane with non stop ramblings and endless questions, which really ware me down after a while, she really doesn't draw a breath between getting up and going to sleep. Both are asleep now nd I am about to do a shift change over and go off down the road to do spot of shopping.... in the Zara and H and M sale....none of my clothes are fitting so need to pick up something cheapo to see me through til twe get home.

Off to Pyranees on Monday, but loving Barcelona, DH and I really want to live here, so are going to get job hunting.

Its our one year wedding anniversry tomorrow...what is it?Paper? I know DH will do nothing but i want to gethim something small to mark the day...any ideas...

Right I mustn't miss my shoppinh wndow...

Lots of love to Lenni, Tree, Stripey, Tea, Books, Moose, Tink et al xxxxx

treedelivery · 07/08/2010 13:10

Loo roll HKZ!! Or some very pretty kitchen paper.

Or a British paper as you are abroad? Or some paper money, always welcome Smile.

Great you are enjoying the holiday, and good to hear J is doing well too. Much love. x

hackneyzoo · 07/08/2010 17:30

Dog, am back on 26th...keep your legs crossed until then....can you wait that long? I could get it in post on 27th..

Tree, loo roll it is! very romantic! Sorry to hear DD is having a hard time at school. Will she be in a different class after the hols or will that not make a difference?

I forgot to mention earlier is this another growth spurt time? Jude is waking every 1-2 hours at night and is eating like a maniac! I am not sure whether to put it down to travelling about an dlck of routine or growing...whichever...it's making me exhausted! He normally goes straight down again if he wakes in the night but he is being a real pita and screaming and shouting and waking us all..grr.

Shopping successful! have new sexy black maxi dress from cheapo shop round the corner (8 euros bargain!) and some sexy black maternity capri pants (not sexy in the slightest, but hey, they have an elasticated waiste panel!) and a pair of completely inpractical denim shorts that just about stretch round my midrift.

off out to a partyat a friend of DH's tonight so am trying not to look like a knackered old hag, so had better start preparations.

Have a good holiday Tink!

teaandcakeplease · 07/08/2010 18:33

Flying by and will catch up more later.

Dummy's have been posted today in a decorated envelope to the dummy fairy with many tears. I do wonder what Royal Mail think of this Smile LOL and she has been bought a princess dress from the Disney Store as a treat and another toy. Then went by the fun fair later and she won a gold fish.

So I think I eased my guilt by generally spoiling her. Probably not ideal Blush

Good job H actually sent me some money this month and the mystery friend gave me some too. Not the best way to spend it but ah well.

Wish me luck for bedtime without a dummy and I'll be back later Grin

120 · 07/08/2010 21:09

Tree thanks for yourr vote on the brownie thread!
Haven't read your dd thread. Off to do so now.

Hols were not really that this week as have been working.
Doing blackberry from car so proper post later.

treedelivery · 08/08/2010 09:04

Morning all.

Hope dummy free went ok tea, and no thanks needed 120! They are the business. Yum.

Off to bed

Thank you for posts on my thread Smile

teaandcakeplease · 08/08/2010 09:17

I did post an update on facebook earlier, but not mumsnet Shock

Well I'm still alive to tell the tale. She finally fell asleep without it at about 8.30pm but woke at 5.30am (ouch) she normally sleeps until 7am. She didn't wake in the night, so God must've took pity on me ;-) Hoping though that once she's got used to being without it though, she'll return to a more reasonable wake up time

Sleep well Tree Smile

no spending more than me ladies

i have my blackberry so will stay in touch on there

missjackson · 08/08/2010 21:09

Am too, toooo tired to catch up. Sorry ladies. My house is still a tip after my holiday ( a week ago Blush) and now its got to the point where I can't even begin to tackle it. I need professionals! lenni and pat you had better cross your fingers that something motivates me soon, otherwise you will be sweeping back the cobwebs over your beds in a couple of weeks!

Early pg feels like I am under heavy sedation, all day, every day.

But wanted to tell - I got the job! So fingers crossed, if we can work everything out (small matter of 65 horses), we will be off to Australia on Nov 1st. I work until Dec 5th (while OH and N relax on the beach!) and then the plan is that we go off on a camper-van road trip, visit friends etc, until at least New Year! Very, very, very, very exciting.

tink, enjoy your hols.
120, yey for no more bf!!! I know like me you were very ready to stop. I am down to just one feed a day, last thing at night (and after lunch if I want a nap too!), but I am hoping the pg will take care of weaning without me having to try.
pat, hope things are going okay - are you still down at your mum's.
hkz, hols sound amazing! and like the sound of your sexy dresses too! I guess I too will be needing some summery maternity wear if I am to spend my middle trimester down under.
tea, read your thread and sounds like books and tree had some good advice and understanding. Hope you had a better day today. Is she at nursery/ pre-school? The weekends must be tough.
waves to tree, books, MM, chef, stripey and everyone {anyone?) else.

teaandcakeplease · 08/08/2010 21:30

Yay for the job Miss J! Woohoo! Sounds fab, especially your H and N lazing on a beach and a road trip too!

DD is at Pre School when it's not Summer hols, I hate the way everything stops. Trying to fill my weeks up now with friends (trying).

DD is still whimpering for her dummy at times when she remembers and was also cross at bedtime today but was too tired to do more than scream "I want my dummy" a few times before passing out tonight. We shall see how the night goes though Smile I'll be glad when she finally gets used to it all though, still feel terrible about it but know it couldn't go on much longer anyway.
