CARRIE!! Oh my goodness that is soooooo amazing!!!!! I had a tear in my eye reading your post!! I'm so happy for you Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

MrsA fingers crossed for you too and don't worry about the drinking. If af is due on Christmas day and you were pg you'd obviously only be 2 weeks (we all know what you'll be up to this weekend!) at which point the embryo wouldn't be getting any nutrients from you so alchohol wouldn't do it any harm Smile

Ooh good point Debi I have forgotten all my pg information. When does the embryo start getting stuff from me, is it about 4-6 weeks? Or am I making that up :)

Carrie hoping you get lots of early pg symptoms and are feeling on top of the world!

Sorry Lolly, it's rubbish when DP/DH not into it. Took me till June to 'convince' DP to TTC No2 and after that it took him till oct to really be persuaded we needed to SWI every day around ov.

And yes, Xmas Blush, our SWI plans start in earnest tonight! Way hay! (Just need to get C to bed after her nursery xmas fair, watch live corrie and cook tea then off to bed Xmas Wink)

Oh my goodness it still hasn't sunk in. Or perhaps it has but I won't let myself believe it. Its such early days (like only day 27!) and I was sure I wasn't pg. I've been imagining that I feel sick today, but I didn't get morning sickness til week 6 last time so I doubt it. I've still been having the cramps and backache that I've had all week that I attributed to the endo but I guess could have been implantation? And some of it is definitely dodgy guts pain. I'm trying to hold it lightly and not think too much about the exciting stuff. I made DH tell my parents, I'm such a wuss!
lolly I'm so :( for the bfn :(
NC and MrsA I know this will be hard for you and will try not to harp on about it. Really hope we're all pg together again :)

Smile carrie Wishing you a Merry Xmas and lots of pg symptoms to reassure you.

Here's hoping 2011 will be everyone else's year too.

For some reason I have been suckered into doing Xmas cards for the dc's nursery friends, they have a post box for the cards! There's about 30 cards I have to do just for nursery. I am seriously considering high level bribery with a choc button for each card they 'sign'. DS used to like trying to write his name in cards, once he'd started to get the knack of it he got bored and won't do them anymore Hmm.

Oh my goodness, carrie, not just a BFP, but you get yourself out of an op. Many congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Digi, Nc and MrsA, I am sure you are next. You are young and healthy, and have done it before. It will happen. I would so have loved for us all to get preggers together and relive the sept 08 antenatal thread spirit. It was lovely.

I had my last day at work today and am now on maternity leave. I am utterly exhausted, and the baby is still breech, but hey, not long to go now. I need to get a moses basket.

Part of the exhaustion is about work and the commute, but a huge part of it is to do with Diego, who has turned into the NO! monster. He refuses to sit down and eat, he refuses to put on his pyjamas. He refuses to put on his coat. Hi lies down on the floor at the earliest provocation, and I just do not have the agility or strenght to pick him up or rein him in, I'm too pregnant!

Do any of you have the same issue, and how do you deal with it? I'm at my wits end.

pacita DD is a handfull too Angry Sad. If she see's me picking up her clothes / jacket / shoes she tears off in the opposite direction and hides behind the curtains / chair, giggling Hmm. I spend a lot of my time rugby tackling her TBH. It's quite hard going. Sometimes I get her dressed / undressed while she's standing in her cotbed as she can't run off Grin. Is Diego still in a cot...... and can you bend over it with a bump?

Report
Pacita · 09/12/2010 22:00

that's the thing, meglet, diego is BIG! He weighs 15.5 kilos, he is tall, he is cheeky, and even though i excelled at rugby tackles, I cannot do them any more because my bump is just too big, my pelvis is beginning to feel soft, and I'm generally a waddling sphere.

And he's on a bed now too, so no cot enclosure to keep him in either...

Congratulations carrie I know how long you've wanted this, must be such a relief!

bec I'm not really dreading Xmas - I'm really really looking forward to it. But that's because we're having it at home with my mum and my sister, so just the people I love who know what I've been through and won't cause any stress. Thank you for thinking of me.

What I dread the most are the catchups with friends, because they don't know. A Nct friend announced her pg and has invites me to her xmas party this Sunday - I can't bring myself to respond. I've got to go to a baby shower on the 27th.

pacita I won't be next because I'm not ttc Sad. I can't do the clotting test till I've had my second post-mc period. Still waiting for the first, so we're months away from any answers. Sad I want to make sure we've investigated everything before ttc again, don't think I could handle another mc thinking it could have been prevented if only I'd been patient enough to test.
Hope you get more rest now you're off work. If only to help give you the mental strength dealing with tantrums.

pacita You could be describing Toby!!! "no" is all he says at the moment Sad It can get very wearing cant it? No advice, just lots of sympathy x

Pacita · 10/12/2010 10:59

Thanks ladies for all your sympathy. D is just such an adorable child, but so full of energy and strong willed that it is impossible to do anything to any schedule!

And DG Sad just to say I think you are being very wise and very patient deciding to get to the bottom of the matter before TTC again. I said this before, but I'll say it again: you are young, and you have time. I will turn 40 before my DD is 1 [old bag emoticon]. Things will happen when you least expect.

I am now on leave, waddling around the house not knowing whether to tackle the last of the moving boxes, the pile of baby clothes to sort, whether to cook or do a general blitz of the house, whilst feeling guilty that my little D is at nursery full time. You can't win, can you? Or is it the bad hormones talking?

BTW, we need to start thinking about a new thread title. Given my experience I'd like to propose: Sept 08 - The "NO, MUMMY!" thread.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 10/12/2010 11:32

Pacita you are not alone - C is so frustrating some days.
Her favourite is to run away at everything, laughing, then wehn 'consequences' are applied (eg removal of her favourite toy) cue hysterical screaming and wailing.
Getting her to clean her teeth is near impossible.

And this morning, after a week or near perfect potty training, she was convinced she wanted a nappy back on Xmas Hmm
I convinced her otherwise with bribery Xmas Smile

I don't blame you for putting your feet up pacita. I'm sure D is having a ball at nursery.
If I conceive soonish, I'll be 39 before baby is born and therefore 40 before he or she is 1! I've told DP I want to go to Le Manoir Aux Quatres Saisons for my 40th - bitter sweet really cos if we go it'll mean I haven't conceived and if we don't cos of a new baby, I don't get to go to my dream restaurant!!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 10/12/2010 11:34

Oh and I think the new thread name is great - 'No mummy NO NO NO!! Me Do It.'

Report
Pacita · 10/12/2010 11:40

MrsArch, do both! Get preggers and go to Le manoir anyway - I would love to go too (and to the fat duck). If the baby is still little, it can be nicely settled in its pram. You can remove baby and discreetly feed at table while eating one handed and being fussed about by an army of french waiters. If you are preggers you can still enjoy the lovely food and one glass of exquisite wine. No hurdle is too large in the pursuit of decadent cuisine!

Meglet · 10/12/2010 13:01

mrsA GO to LMAQS! I bet they would be so lovely if you ended up taking a little baby with you. Maybe go in the week when it's quieter, or would it be full of business men?

pacita enjoy the peace.

Here's a little 'gem' to delight you all.

My adorable little girl has taken to shouting "POKE YOUR WILLY OUT!" (over and over again) in a sing-song voice then hooting with laughter. Hmm

I pointing the finger of blame at her big brother. I swear she can see my face dropping when she does it and loves freaking me out.

How much is finishing school?

I like to sing.

I cant sing.

However, I am always singing around the house...or used to be.

Whenever I start to sing now Toby rushes over to me, puts his hand over my mouth and shouts "no no no" with a really pained expression on his face Sad

ds1 had to be a reindeer yesterday in the year 1&2 xmas play.

They all got to choose their own reindeer name.

ds1's choice?

Steve.

Steve the Reindeer.

I do love that kid Smile

Loving the thread title ideas. DS's lastest gem is "don't tell me mummy!!"

Carrie, how are you feeling?

The latest D trick to make me fret is not eating. He is refusing food at nursery and at home, to the point when the nursery staff have actually brought it up with me. He used to be a very good eater and like everything. Now he even refuses milk. What's going on???

Dh took the day off today and we all went xmas shopping. Ds spent the whole day running round the shopping centre in between asking to go to the toilet. Buggy is now a mere shopping trolley. He conked out in the car at 5pm. Am amazed!

We have bought pull-up nappies. I realised that we'll also need vests without poppers.

pacita could it be molars? Ds appetite has been up and down, discovered a new molar had appeared (seemingly) overnight.

All my m&b group friends have now given birth to their 2nd dc as of last night. Waiting for one more pg announcement from the Nct lot and that's it, the rest are intent on just one. So at least I'm not alone in having an only. It has it's perks though, we spent a fortune on new clothes & Xmas pressies for him, plus will be redoing his bedroom once my mother moves out in Jan.

But yes, hoping 2011 will be better than 2010 for our little family.

The last few weeks we've had a broken boiler (well frozen pipes and a failed heater thingy on it), illnesses, reimaged computer, virus on laptop and headlice ...

just realised that I'd forgotten to turn off DD1's light and she was still reading {blush} she'd got through 2 books Shock

Anbyone else not writtem any Christmas cards yet - I feel so behind with everything.
