meglet I wasn't on here yesterday due to spending the day dropping my children on their heads
Please don't call SS!
DS was in the buggy and stood up while I was pushing it along, I lunged to catch him and grabbed his t-shirt but his head still hit the concrete. He's got a large but very shallow graze, I dread to think how bad it would have been if he'd fallen with his full weight behind him and I hadn't caught his top. Clearly he can't be trusted without the straps being done up.
The in the afternoon we were at the park, DD was very overtired and kept falling off her bike in drama-queen fashion and cycling into fences. Then she and a friend went in one of those big wok-style swings. It's one that goes round in circles as well as backwards and forwards, and somehow she just got catapulted out and landed on her head. A helpful bystander in the form of an 8yo boy said "she landed on her head and broke her neck!" with awe and glee in his voice. Thankfully she was still wearing her bike helmet and has no signs of concussion!
Not sure I can be trusted with the two children I've got
never mind the third I really want!
Sadly the temporary kitchen hadn't been fitted by the end of yesterday so the big cleaning party was cancelled, but a coupld of friends came and dusted and vacuumed the kids rooms. One lovely friend demonstrated her love by cleaning our only toilet...the one the builders have been using for 3 months!
I'm beyond excited about moving back home tomorrow. Its genuinely been fine for the last 6 weeks, but I hadn't realised how much I'm looking forward to being back until we were told that we might not be able to. Going round at 4 this afternoon to check there really is a sink and plumbing for the washing machine...!
