Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

dizzy well done on the events company nibble, and as for the competition, I definitely say rise above. There's nothing more undignified than a FB row. Ignoring has the dual benefit of making you look professional and serene, and really pissing off the person who's trying to get a rise out of you.

Beds: DS is still in his cot despite being a proper little boy shape now and we haven't done anything about moving him onward.

DP and I have started Monday with a row I am pissed off, he has slammed out the door to work. Hooray for everything.

hotterpotter · 26/07/2010 08:44

Hope your new fridge comes soon oops so you can have a lovely time out and leave DH to moan get better in peace.

Sorry to hear today has not go off to the best start for you Cyteen Monday mornings are a fucker sometimes. I hope you can make it up by text and that he brings you a beautiful bendy-poled making-up present in a big bag tonight Which tent did you choose in the end?

DC driving me crazy this morning while I neglect them for the internet in fact DS managed to come downstairs whilst we were still asleep and smear his arms, legs and tummy with DD's pink toothpaste Never mind a bed, that boy needs to sleep in a straigtjacket...

alittlebitshy · 26/07/2010 09:05

hots we intend to keep ds in his cot (though it is a cotbed so big) until he is maybe 3. dd got it changed around her 3rd birthday so unless she tries scaling the sides he is staying put for another year. Not rocking the boat until i have to

oopsandbabycoconuts · 26/07/2010 09:33

HP - we bought an extenable bed from Ikea so it is still cotbed sized but is a bed and DD has her much loved very own duvet which she has wanted for ages. She knows she can get out but doesn't seem to. She yells for me instead. Thor sounds like a small(ish) bundle of very cute trouble.

IL now coming to visit to see how DH is for themselves because I always play these things down! Our neighbourhood is very very spookily quiet now the schools are on holiday.

Hi Cyteen - hope you and DP make it up during the day.

Hi Albs

CrispyTheCrisp · 26/07/2010 09:44

Morning

8.15 lie in. Wah hey!!! Mind you bed time wasn't until about 8, having started at 7

cyteen forgot to answer your tent Q before - Hots and i both have the Vango Tigris 600 but it quite large if you are only thinking of weekend trips for now. Hope you and DP have a good making up later

oops your IL's do make me snigger

Back to the dishwasher and then to the docs for DD2. Exciting life here

alittlebitshy · 26/07/2010 09:51

am Loling at oops ILs.

dizzydixies · 26/07/2010 09:54

morning housework today then up to the florist to help set up the space for the midweek arrival of the fridge

Cyteen - if you don't make up I'm always happy to fulfil my promise of inappropriate touching

Oops - wishing you good grace and patience with the PIL, not that they deserve it

Hots - I love Thor and his pink toothpaste

ALBS - I'm the same as you - D staying in her cot till she has to move as it will be a knock on effect for the others.

Sazz - great news on the potential work, who's needing the Dr? Is it E for her stitches?

off to check emails to see if events lady has got back touch?

morning all else x

CrispyTheCrisp · 26/07/2010 10:03

Yes, stitches out so hopefully not too traumatic and we can wash her hair for the first time in 10 days

Dizz will D stay in her room as she has my a bed in there already or will you switch round to give DD1 her own room?

V exciting re fridge - you could do themed cakes with different flowers on to match bouquets. Oh, and yesterday I bought a carrot cake from the farm shop and it was packaged with corrugated cardboard (about an inch above the cake top), then covered in stiff plastic and tied with rattan or suchlike at one end. Looked v good and MUCH better than the ones just in clingfilm

CaptainCaveman · 26/07/2010 10:43

Welcome home cripsysazz, we missed you, it was quiet without you . Hope your littlest girl is ok after her head trauma?

Weather is shite here today , so ds1 and I are going swimming.

We went to Conkers yesterday, was quite nice really

so ladies, what are you all up to today?

RedLentil · 26/07/2010 10:52

Very exciting on the events front Dizz. As you see I still seem to have electricity, and will do until this evening I think. Possibly tomorrow. Anyhow, call me if you need me.

Oops- I thought that about that number of cakes too.

Cyteen - hope the day gets better. Rows are rubbish, aren't they?

Off to do something useful, but not sure what in my dustbowl house.

CaptainCaveman · 26/07/2010 11:10

I've got some ironing you could do red if you fancy?

Having just got dressed, I think I'll pop out and get a prezzie for my dear friend who delivered a 5lb 12oz little girl on Friday, exactly on her due date . Can't wait to have a sniff!!

CaptainCaveman · 26/07/2010 11:11

dizzy I missed out on the cake/brownie competition - are you doing another one? On a serious note, what's your order to delivery time?

oopsandbabycoconuts · 26/07/2010 11:29

Red - I have plenty to do around here is you are bored.

DDs and I are off to do grovery shopping in a bit and return an outfit someone gave us at the weekend - a shot ompe set age 6 months - That would be November

dizzydixies · 26/07/2010 11:41

Cece - brownie comp still ongoing

Red - am currently wading through personal finances which are DIRE and have had to phone and take a mortgage holiday this month we are drowning . Will need to sit down and SERIOUSLY sort it out

Sazz - your that bed was DD1's and is back through with the girls. Am considering bunk beds & toddler bed for all three in their room and having your box room as spare for visitors [HINTS ALL ROUND] and for occasions when one ill or needs some space. Am just not sure yet and haven't had time to think it all through.

For those others with 3, please tell me its not just my house where if its not one of them its another shouting during the night Last night was turn of DD2 and when D seems to be very early riser am not sure all 3 in one room is a good option

oopsandbabycoconuts · 26/07/2010 11:50

Dizz - could your put DD2 in on her own and pu D in with DD1? Or would that be horribly unfair on DD1?

DH - lieing in bed occasionally groaning and demanding water - I took his glass to the bathroom filled it up and asked it he thought that trip would be too much for him!

Fridge is here but cannot be switched on for 4 hours do we are eating a whole selection of things that normally need chillling for lunch. Then off to buy food to fill it up. Casn anyone explian why they wrap fridges in large sheets of sticky back plastic which took an hour to remove??

dizzydixies · 26/07/2010 11:56

Oops, DD1 and DD2 genuinely love sharing with each other so I'm loathe to split them up. DD1 also sleeps through EVERYTHING so she is fine in there. Their room is big enough to take bunks & toddler bed (no room for clothes etc etc but minor point!) so they could all go in together and if DD1 having friend round for sleepover she could go in spare - taking a bit of time to think about it all before moving anything though. D is happy enough in her cot for the minute so no hurry

glad to hear is DH holding up - have the PIL been and are now satisfied it is not the plague?!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 26/07/2010 12:22

Not yet, they will be here at 12.30 with soup for him . I will be sitting on the sofa with my boob out!

dizzydixies · 26/07/2010 12:24

ROFL - atta girl!! off to try some apple and rasp crumble muffins, will let you know how I get on x

CrispyTheCrisp · 26/07/2010 13:20

DD2's stitches are out. Much improved once I suggested to the nurse that some spray anaesthaetic might help. She said 'oh, good idea, not thought of that'

DD2 wandering round saying 'baddie all gone'

oops obviously someone with your cooking skills cannot manage to make soup . Your lunch sounds 'interesting' BTW . I have yet to go shopping for food, so ours included soup from the freezer, boiled eggs, borlotti beans and some french tomatoes!

dizz the bunks we got here are really good and DH impressed with the kit and the way it went together (v rare as you can imagine ) and from memory of the girls room you could fit them in plus another bed and the wardrobe

dizzydixies · 26/07/2010 14:19

they look nice Sazz. they would need to go in the corner that the wardrobe is in though as it is the only straight wall

GladioliBuckets · 26/07/2010 14:39

Help, I'm having MN dreams! I dreamt that Cyteen and I had decided it would be a jolly good jape to do a bit of wifeswapping. So out I come from shagging Mr Cyteen, v pleased with myself but gradually I remember I've forgotten to tell Mr Buckets the plan, and all those brilliant reasons Cyteen & I had thought up seem to have vanished and actually I'm not sure I want him shagging anyone else, even Cyteen, wtf have I done etc etc etc. TBH all my erotic dreams tend to end in a similar fashion, real life creeping in and everything stops so to have actually had my end away for once is a bit of a breakthrough! Thanks for the use of your fiance, mate .

CrispyTheCrisp · 26/07/2010 14:42
