Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 22:05

Hi oops

sazz one day you will go to France without incident. Glad all is ok though.

hots have you trigger that they are transferring their jealousy into libel cos of bf and pg? Just you wait til this time next year, then we'll see who the soaks are

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 22:06

Fine Crispy le Crisp - ignore me!! Enjoy your cheese. I need to pick you brain about the little hotel you recommended in your neck of the woods. DH and I contemplating taking DD2 and going away for the night but leaving DD1 with my folks or heading for Wild Garlic with DD2 for lunch and DD1 staying with folks. Not that we are trying to get rid of her but we fancy lunch with adult conversation and DD2 needs boob too regularly to leave anywwhere (and I don't want to leave her)

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 22:11

Not ignoring you oops, and thankyou for your text. TS you mentioned sending a text but I never got one from you [suspicious]

Not sure which hotel you mean, but WildGarlic has rooms if that is any help?

Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 22:11

gah, figured, not trigger fgs

Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 22:13

Hey sazz, have you seen all about dizztheentrepeneur?! how fab???

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 22:14

It was one with a spa, nice restaurant, coutryside ish - quite modern inside - we were talking about eating at posh starred places and you mentioned it it may have started with a 'c'

MrsMiamla · 24/07/2010 22:16

evening all, can't stop, just popped back to see if hots was full of love for us all yet

tis ok, i'll desist the teasing now and yes, i am just jealous!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 22:17

Night all - going to try bedtime AGAIN!

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 22:20

Yes, dizz had conquered was conquering the world before i left. Clever Lady

Re holidays without incident, i have now decided these will not happen until the girls are at least 21

oops - calcot, cowley???

RedLentil · 24/07/2010 22:36

Hello and general giddiness for Ataraxis and Crispy. Sorry to hear about poor dd2's head.

Things brightened up here today due to juggling and a bank that actually takes into account the fact we have been pretty well behaved since the year dot.

And by the end of the week, my house will have the most lovely black slates instead of ancient orange grungy ones.

The children were all off form today, because we were. DS has lost tv for 3 days. We'll head down to the homestead on Monday and try to make it all into a holiday.

I was wondering if we could do that little exercise we did last year of writing a few lines about each of our small ones as they reach their birthdays. It would be nice to have a character roundup.

I have eaten tons of food today to take my mind off money. Must be better tomorrow. Are the hot mamas still in operation?

MrsMiamla · 24/07/2010 23:15

oooh, i forgot we did that Red...great idea...

off to bed myself now as well (really really tonight, not like yesterday's efforts!)

hope all those due a lie-in enjoy themselves

and loti was today the day with your h? hope it went well and that you got out of it what you need and want

cyteen · 24/07/2010 23:23

Great idea/remembering Red, that would be a lovely tribute to our little ones (and us of course, as their fabulous mummies)

Sazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz welcome home my dear, glad to see you brought some cheese back with you Poor E's head though; you have given me the fear now since J is an obsessive bed-bouncer and fearlessly flings himself toward the edge/pointy corners of bedside cabinets/back wall and wooden headboard.

Right, off to bed now. Night all x

Sazzles I am glad you are home and can communicate with us again. I had you on my mind this evening as I stood at the cheese counter wondering if it would be rude to have the clerk provide me a sample of each. I have no clue what they taste like BY NAME.

As promised I have a sweet story about dh. Today, as we drove home, one of his favorite Eagles songs came on the radio. He relaxed, smiled and put his non steering wheel hand on my back/shoulders, rubbed my shoulder a bit then held my hand. For a moment it was like it was 17 years ago.

Hello Ataraxis!!

Ya'll leave HP alone. Her drink is completely medicinal!!

Miamla thanks for the news flash on MasterAlbs's party. I don't think we're doing a party. I did purchase some more clothes for R today that I'm adding to what is her "present" list.

Guess I should be thinking about the party thing...

MrsMiamla · 25/07/2010 08:10

oh TS what a simple thing for your DH to do but so sweet! made me too

MrsMiamla · 25/07/2010 08:13

MORNING ALL!!!!

sorry for shouting, DS must have put my caps lock on!

i've just realised the time... you'd better not all be getting lie-ins

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/07/2010 08:13

Hurrah. DD2 slept in her new bed until 8am . Hopefully nap time will be easier to get her off to sleep......

TS you should always ask to taste cheese. No point in wasting your life eating bad cheese

Apologies to mrALBS on missing birthday wishes. But they are all August babies to me . No party here but a small BBQ get together with 2 other Aug08 babes should suffice as a party

cyteen apparently flinging myself off beds and needing hospital treatment was my party trick which i guess DD2 has inherited

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/07/2010 08:15

Apologies for my rudeness

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/07/2010 08:15

Sorry, Miamla, missed you there. Despite the shouting

MrsMiamla · 25/07/2010 08:22

morning crispy crisp
lovely to have you back

oh and i absolutely agree with you re tasting the cheeses.... oooh in a few weeks i'll be able to eat proper cheese again

oopsandbabycoconuts · 25/07/2010 09:22

Morning all

We had a lie in until 8 but DD1 didn't do down until gone 10.

Crispy I think it might have been Cowley. Thanks

Red - pleased things have worked re: the roof

On the birthday front - I'm not sure what we are doing probably a small party with her bestie buddy and a couple of others (just party food, cake and playing in the garden)and a family BBQ on the actual day which is Bank Holiday Monday. When asked who she wanted to come sha replied 'Uncle B and his chickens' I asked how many and she wants them all, all 18 of them! I am not doing a party for chickens!

MrsM - I have developed a bit of a pate and cheese obsession since DD2 was born it must stop and I must visit the hotmamas again

GladioliBuckets · 25/07/2010 09:35

Hey that's a point, we haven't had a Southern meetup since Miamla's wedding. Is Bristol Zoo horrendous in the holidays?

For Kurt's birthday I think we'll just take a picnic to this year's annual pass venue (arboretum with amazing acceesible treehouse and a blue shed-gazebo they all call the Tardis) and advertise it on FB see if anyone wants to join us.

Had a PITA evening getting the boys to bed as DH was out and I just desperately wanted to lie down in my own bed. DS1 got another depression fit on.
But this morning 'things' are getting more solid for me YAY!!! Got to go out and buy new mahoosive knitting needles this am anyway to start my shrug.

Summary of Kurt: Busy, cheerful, rotund.

alittlebitshy · 25/07/2010 10:37

Thanks for the birthday wishes for H. i have a 2 year old baby now [sock]. no i mean . me and my typos .

i think miamla has done justice to toe party description. It was mostly family with a few little friends (3 i think) plus some family friends with mixed age kiddies (for dd).

we just had the toys in the garden and that seemd enough. when dd was 2 she had a proper party with games. but the girls seemed a lot more able to deal with the concept of sitting down top play pass the parcel and such like. i think H and his buddies would have ignored any attempts at discipline.

when he woke up yesterday we heard him say "H's birday!!!". then "birday cake". bless.

got to go and get ready for church but will leave you by saying that H decided to finish of his day my having a nightmare and ending up in bed with us at 5am. never done it with a toddler before - dd has been in with us since being older but. oh my. super king sized bed + 2 year old = mummy and daddy on one edge (dh hanging out i think).

TwilightSurfer · 25/07/2010 13:05

have you all seen Pertelote's piccs on fb!?! go see! go see! go see! M is ADORABLE!!!
