I can't allow us to forget IlanaK and her wonderful S on the 21st. She may occasionally lurk as I've seen her name in and around MN. Happy Belated B-day S!

ALBS a heartfelt birthday wish to H today, a big TWO YEARS OLD!! Wonderful.

DD1 just showed DH a new loose tooth. I need to add charm to my shopping list today. It would be terrible if the tooth came out today and the tooth fairy didn't have what she needed to turn that tooth into a charm for dd1's charm bracelet.

Singapore I am guessing I won't here anything this weekend which is fine by me.

Buckets don't forget your probiotics, dear.

Invasion of the little people happening.....

Happy Birthday minialbs , have a lovely 2nd bday!!!

Went out for a lovely meal with friends last night, yummmmmmm followed by some wine mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, and a lie in until 9 am Bliss

off to catch up with thread...

CaptainCaveman · 24/07/2010 16:27

I agree that the numberjacks are just plain scary too. DS1 was always terrified of the spooky spoon

hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 19:00

Ooh a lie in until 9am, how fab! Am looking forward to mine tomorrow

Got some plants from my Grandma's garden and some lovely etched wine glasses which I will break cherish. Have to go back again tomorrow with DH as there are two boxes right in the far corner of the loft which we couldn't reach into today. Sis and I are hoping it is some of our old toys which have been missing for many years. Fingers crossed this time tomorrow my two will be the proud owners of a Fisher Price school and camper van

cyteen · 24/07/2010 19:26

Happy birthday MasterAlbs

hots sounds like you had a good day there, I'm glad The wine glasses sound lovely, and so appropriate

Not much to report here. I vac'd and mopped the top floor of the house, DP went food shopping/to the tip, I made a rather tasteless lasagna that DS refused to eat, ho hum. Not the most interesting day for DS, I fear. He is so clearly entering the terrible twos - smiles one minute, tanty the next (and the next, and the next, and the next). It's hard not to take it personally now and then. Also he is going through another living-on-fruit-and-yoghurt phase, which just confirms my suspicions of teeth pain.

MrsMiamla · 24/07/2010 19:38

hots why would you need wine glasses? i always picture you drinking straight from the bottle

cyteen we've got a really fussy eater back here as well, along with nasty nappies definitely equals teething these are the last ones for a while though, aren't they?

had a lovely afternoon at Master Albs' b'day party. DS went shopping with DH so i was able to sit at leisure being fed cake, strawberries and a cup of tea

cyteen · 24/07/2010 19:50

Oh god, the nappies. Weeks of eye-scorching horrors. Yes, definitely teething!

Glad you had a grand day out Was littlealbs very overexcited? Were there party games?

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 19:55

MrsM -I thought HP just had a very long straw?

MrsMiamla · 24/07/2010 20:07

oops why waste time looking for a straw? surely she just swigs it, no?

cyteen lots of toys in the garden for little ones to play with. the trampoline seemed the most popular with all ages (if i'd thought i'd get away with it, i was tempted to have a go myself!)
littlealbs had a little bit of a meltdown but i'd say overall he had a really good time! he's so much better with his vocab than DS but i guess some of that comes from having an older sister who doesn't stop talking...ever! don't get me wrong, she's lovely, but very tiring! I think she thought i'd gone round to play with her as i had a star part in one of her drama things at one point! imaginative play has never been a strong point for me, even when i was a kid. at one point she wanted me to sit on the grass and pretend to hide under a blanket. i explained that if i got down there, she'd have to pick me up again. I was allowed to sit on the bench instead

hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 20:31

you bunch of cheeky fuckers ladies

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 20:36

I thought she just carried one around with her always on one of those lanyard thingies - then it is never out of reach!

hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 20:38

I wouldn't mind but the wine isn't even open yet tonight It's you lot who are driving me to drink...

readyforanything · 24/07/2010 21:24

Poor defamed hots.

hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 21:28

Thanks ready, glad to know not everyone thinks I am a raging lush

Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 21:31

Reverts to old self. Ah, that's better.

hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 21:34

Nice to see you again How are you and your three charming children?

Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 21:44

We are all really good thanks. DH has taken the boys to a BMX race in Cornwall so L and I had a lovely day together, and my mum came down this evening. All v relaxed and male free for a change.

I am chilling with a glass of red, and happy to be known as a soak too if it helps

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 21:49

Hellooooo

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 21:50
hotterpotter · 24/07/2010 21:53

Wotcha Sazz, welcome back! Bet you're quaffing some yummy French vino ce soir

Off to watch Misfits, back later...

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 21:58

Aaaahh Hots has ompany fresh from the land of winos.

Hi Ataraxis.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 24/07/2010 21:59

Company - I have DD1 assisting me as she napped on the way back from my mum's.

Ataraxis · 24/07/2010 21:59

Hey sazz how was your time away? Cheers btw

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 22:00

Lovely hols . As dizz reported DD2 managed to split her head open by bouncing on the bed (10 seconds after being told to stop ). DH and my friend took her to hozzie for 3 stitches and she has been remarkable over the whole incident. Even to happily wearing a very unflattering swimming cap as she couldn't get her stiches wet.

Got home today and put her new bunk beds up, which she was completely scared of, so i ended up lying with her until she went to sleep. DD1 desperate to share, but even she gave up and went to her own room to get some sleep

{{{hugs}}} to all, especially cyteen and dizz for recent anniversaries , to TS for being so dignified in the face of family crap, to red for just 'sucking it up, and getting on with it' and to cece for failing hair follicles. If needs be though i think you could carry off a number of fab wigs, can just see you as a redhead . Speaking of which, lovely to hear SomeOneHasGotTheirEndAway is coming out of the other end of a breakup and blossoming and fingers x'd for LOTI that reformation of character is imminent and permanent. for that round up and for those homebirthers and potential homebirthers (yes THAT'S YOU MIAMLA) for lovely memories.

Oh and a in the face for MrMiamla being a twat. Sorry, but needs must

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/07/2010 22:02

Great thanks Ataraxis. Mostly relaxing and we saw friends last night and Mum & Dad today so made the most of it

Off to munch cheese. Om Nom......
