dh met my crazy lovely midwife today and agrees with me about her! I think she's fantastic! she told me today that even if she's meant to be off-duty when i go into labour that she'll be there. and if i go to the hospital (for whatever reason) she'll be there! how cool is that?? continuity of care counts for so much. and knowing that there's going to be familiar face at Pea's birth (as well as dh obviously) is so reassuring. DS likes her too. he was pretending not too but kept giving her a really cheeky grin!

i've sent DH and his friend to the pub so i'm off to bed with my book

HP my brother confirms he has gotten over said "issue" and is "good" with me but can't leave in the dust because of sil's inability to "let things go."

TS's SIL is a damn stupid woman

oh i of course gave DH a condition that he was only allowed to the pub if he came back with chocolate for me.. you see, i may look stupid

TS that sounds like you still have some way to go with your brother and SIL but you seem to have made amazing progress, well done!

LOL! The words HOME BIRTH are almost evil here. They are happening more and more but with an enormous amount of prejudice. The medical field claims it to be irresponsible. Midwives and doulas walk a fine line. There's a good push to change this but it will take time. IF I were having a child today I now know the right people but because of the emCS I'd be asked to be in or at least very close to the main hospital.

Yes but don't forget that oops cheated by having contractions for about a month before E was born! Oh Miamla I am fairly about your home birth prospect. i have to say that DS being born not 10 feet away from where I am sitting now is one of the best things that has ever happened in my life
