Hi all.
hope you are all ok. Not too bad this morning although very tired.
Just had my mum on the phone - I do wish she wouldn't EAT while talking on the phone. I'm funny enough about eating noises but to spend an entire fecking conversation with squelching, squishing, crunching noises coming down my ear is so bloody unpleasant. Why can't she call AFTER she's eaten her food??

dizzydixies · 23/07/2010 15:46

hi guys, was on early shift this morning so DH has been running about doing deliveries!!

Have been a touch more melancholy than I expected to be today but I think my period is due and I'm shattered which would add to it. DBrother has gone round to be with my Dad but wouldn't collect some flowers to put on her grave for me typical bloke thought it wasn't necessary and I suppose it isn't but still Thank you for all your lovely messages. I know my mum and I didn't get on 100% of the time but I still reach for the phone to call her and tell her things even now

What new car did you get Oops?!

batch of brownies weren't quite up to scratch last night so we've kept them

Girls been out at park all morning and DH mowing the lawn so I'm on here doing the promotional material for KnB and watching Nanny Mcphee

forgot that the M&S sale started yesterday Hots - don't think I can be arsed with it to be honest!!

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 16:07

Dizzy, did you get the draft flier? I'm around this afternoon, so call or email and I'll be happy to help if I can. Just minor crisis this sec so short reply.

QueenofDreams · 23/07/2010 16:32

dizzy take care of yourself I'm sure we're ALL thinking of you at the moment.

Once DP gets his butt into gear and buys a new battery for the kitchen scale I'm going to be picking your brains for recipes as I want to bake cake and cupcakes for Sebastian's birthday do.

TwilightSurfer · 23/07/2010 20:00

-didn't get anymore sleep.
-had major fight with dd1.
-dd1 totally disrespectful to her tennis coach during practice.
-no one ate either breakfast i provided.
-no one really ate any of the lunch i provided.
-crazy headedness and crabby kids kept me from running errands.
-spent 1½ hours on phone with db TALKING things out.
-no win situation with sil.
-i may have to do way more than humanly possible to reinstate family peace.
-waiting for fb friend request from her to prove peace is a possibility.
-spent 1 hour on phone with my cousin (she's 4 days older than me) about her family dysfunctions.
-thankfully i've realized IL issues are universal.
-i have a head ache.
-my mascara is smeared all over my face.
-i asked they lady at the taco stand if she sold hard liquor AT 11AM.
-my ½ day should prove your whole day was golden.

oh TS, you poor thing... i did wonder as i was reading your list though if the last thing on it would be...'oh and i just got a bfp!'

dizz i second what someone else said, i'm certain your mum would be very proud of you, your DDs and the amazing cakey bakey empire you're growing

hi and sorry to everyone else, i'm meant to be cooking dinner so back more for gossip and chat later!

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 21:17

Alcohol and hugs, TS.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 23/07/2010 21:20

TS - hugs and more hugs any chance you can get to pilates in the next day or so for some release?

Enjoy the brownies Dizz - I am making yet more tonight to take to my folks tomorrow as they are just back from rainy bonnie Scotland.

I got my new car today - I have been struggling with my 206 it is either DDs and paraphanalia or shopping and no DDs or pushchair and 1 DD and 1 other adult or 2 dds and pushchair in boot and front seat. And any adult had to be 3ft2 or shorter so the carseat cold fit behind it. DD could stroke my hair with her toes sitting behind me. . Enough justifying it to myself! DH has said I needed to wait until October but saw my BMW X3 for sale and decided it was too good a deal to pass on especially as his does 14mpg on a good day. I feel very spoilt and guilty but both girls fit with space, the pushchair and it's bits are in the boot with space for shopping, DH can fit in the passenger seat. DD1 had an issue with it and it took 40mins of crying and yellingto persuade her into it as she was insistent it was not our car! DH took her to Halford to buy seatback pouches for her things and a princess floor mat. She is justabout happy to get in but still asks for 'mummy's car, please'

HP - hope baking turn out okay.

Dizzy - try and get some rest this weekend please.

MrsM - see you in a bit.

TwilightSurfer · 23/07/2010 21:21

Red would you mind looking over some words for me? I don't want to impose and will not be bothered if you decline.

TwilightSurfer · 23/07/2010 21:23

lol! crossed with you Red. thanks.

and thanks to you too Oops.

Miamla it would be a divine event and clearly you would probably only find out about it from my dh as I would have passed out from the shock.

TS that sounds like such progress that you have been talking to your brother, I hope that this is a sign of thawing relations to come

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 21:51

Of course I'll look, TS. My pleasure. Just send them to unlock dot wordhoard at gmail

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 21:53

Mrs Hots!!!!! I've missed you.

hotterpotter · 23/07/2010 21:54

Hello Red! I have been here all day, mainly talking to myself...

oopsandbabycoconuts · 23/07/2010 21:57

How's the wine tonight HP?

hotterpotter · 23/07/2010 22:02

I'm enjoying a cheeky Sauvignon Blanc tonight thanks oops

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 22:03

I've been trying to do wordhoardy stuff, and mind three small children and deal with builders. And today they said they're turning off the electric for 2/3 weeks starting on Monday. I think they thought we knew that. But doesn't quite cover it. Also there's the small matter of trying to find €6000 to cover the cost of having to replace the front of the roof when we thought we'd be able to postpone that.

Drink!!!!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 23/07/2010 22:04

NO not being judged at all - you just have previous!

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 22:05

I've really missed checking in properly. I need a system like Spring's.

hotterpotter · 23/07/2010 22:05

Feck!!!!!!!!!! Arse!!!!!!!

RedLentil · 23/07/2010 22:06
