You don't need to say where or who for, just tell us you did it!!!

I did it this morning. The candidate I was voting for was right next to the BNP candidate so I checked and double checked I had put the cross in the right box!

rey · 06/05/2010 11:08

Just off to do mine wont be on mn later so adding my name now - cheating I know!

MissAnneElk · 06/05/2010 11:12

CCH - anyone can get a postal vote for any reason. A postal vote remains in force unless and until cancelled - so it is not a one off thing for one election where you will not be able to get to the polling centre in person.

I have a postal vote because I am generally disinterested in elections (less so this year and for this parliamentary election as there is more at stake and a proper fight with the possibility of some real change) but feel you should vote. If left to go to a booth on the day I would find a million excuses not to do so but posting a vote is easy.

Postal vote was posted on Saturday.

mistressploppy · 06/05/2010 11:36

Done! Took DS in the sling so the polling station people could coo over him and pretend to let him vote.

Hopefully DH will forget this evening as he will cancel out my vote I think! Not sure though...

PheasantPlucker · 06/05/2010 11:37

Yep, done it.

Took dd2, who seemed rather non-plussed by it all..

And not for the BNP, I can confirm that!

weblette · 06/05/2010 11:40

Done it. Ds3 was very miffed when I wouldn't let him put the paper in the box...

Amarach · 06/05/2010 11:40

I've just voted. Took DS (9 months) along for his first taste of democracy

reallywoundup · 06/05/2010 11:47

Did mine at 8 this morning on the way to school, breakfast club was then late opening ( as they were at the polling station) so therin followed a ten minute discussion with 2 6yo's and a 2 yo about the democratic process of voting.
Not entirely sure the ds's 'got it' when one wandered in To school and asked if he could go and vote for mummy to be in charge "because she makes my dinner"

Lizzylou · 06/05/2010 12:09

Yep, for both local and national elections.

NO BNP candidates to vote for (not that I would!) but also swerved UKIP and the National Front.

I felt all anxious in the polling booth, a bit tearful. No idea why.

postal vote already sent

geraldinetheluckygoat · 06/05/2010 12:24

I went this morning, I was only one in there but there was a trickle of people going in as I left. DS2 posted mine in with an air of gay abandon!

GoldenSnitch · 06/05/2010 12:26

Done. Pooling station is in the community center attached to the school so I voted after dropping DS off for pre school this morning.

BexJ78 · 06/05/2010 12:33

Done. was a steady stream of people going in and out of the polling station.

meandjoe · 06/05/2010 12:35

Just been with my 2 yr old constantly asking 'but why are you voting?? What's voting? Can I do it, can I do it, can I do it??' in my ear the whole time. Hope I put the cross in the right box!
