Mine is John Healey, labour, and I strongly suspect a labour victory here as its never been anything else.

Who holds your constituency and will they return?

(trying to get away from the depressing threads)

Cantsupinate - you must be close to me. I'd love Norman Lamb for an MP - he seems a doer. Hoping the Fakenham voters will help turn new Broadland constituancy yellow and Dan Roper will turn out to be Norman Lamb II!

alysonpeaches · 03/05/2010 21:46

Lot of mumsnetters live in tory areas. Wonder what that means?

Ours was Angela Browning (Tory) but she's stepped down. It's supposed to be a safe seat anyway, and probably still is. The LibDems have a better chance of usurping than anyone else though.

TheFirstLady · 04/05/2010 00:07

Mine is Nick Harvey, Lib Dem, seems like a nice guy. He has a biggish majority, but the Conservative candidate last time out was Orlando Fraser son of Antonia and Sir Hugh who made the bad mistake of telling an American journalist that North Devon women were 'notoriously hideous' forgetting that one or two people in the constituency were all connected up to the interweb. And could read and all. New Tory candidate is a local businessman who thinks single mothers shouldn't get housing benefit directly because they might spend it on food for their children instead of giving it to their landlord.
So who knows.

Heathcliffscathy · 04/05/2010 00:11

justine greening here.

libdems would need a miracle to steal it.

GColdtimer · 04/05/2010 00:15

Dr evan Harris. Libdem. It's a close thing between him and conservatives but I think he will get in again. There has been lots of canvassing by both. Dd thought nicola Blackwood, Tory candidate had "been to a party" because of her rosettes and balloons when we saw her in town. Luckily not one she would want to go to because "everything was blue, that's no fun"!

bibbitybobbityhat · 04/05/2010 00:17

Tessa Jowell. I'm not actually sure how safe her seat is.

toccatanfudge · 04/05/2010 00:18

Peter Bone - Tory - don't know if he'll keep it marginal seat used to be Labour.....

VengefulKitty · 04/05/2010 00:20

My MP is stepping down as he wants to remain being a GP more than he does an MP in light of the no second job thing.

Shame. He is Labour (and I thought I was going to vote Lib Dem, but now not so sure) but he was the most pro-active MP I have known on behalf of his constituents. He certainly helped me out more than once and also helped others that I know personally.

I'll miss you Dr Howard Stoate!

VengefulKitty · 04/05/2010 00:20

Oh, forgot to say, voting here could go any way. We are a sway constituency as well!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 04/05/2010 00:21

Justine Greening here too . We used to be a Con/Lab marginal but I can't see it going any way other than Conservative this time.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/05/2010 00:22

Maria Miller (Con) - she is very good actually so I can vote for her on purely local issues as well as national ones. Would need a 3.5% swing to Lab to unseat her, but I don't even know the names of any of the other candidates standing here, we have had nothing from them, not even a leaflet.

HappyMrsChicken · 04/05/2010 00:48

Francis Maude (Con) is our MP, and although he claimed £35,000 on expenses for the interest on a mortgage for a flat in London when he owned a house 5 mins away which he rented out, he will still get voted in again no doubt. It makes me despair.

Dlamis · 04/05/2010 01:08

John Redwood here. Would take a massive swing to get him out. Am tempted to vote for the Monster Raving Loonies.

Ewe · 04/05/2010 01:17

Chris Grayling here with 17000 majority, always has and probably always will be a Tory seat.

dinasaw · 04/05/2010 08:28

Our MP was David horseshit Heathcoat Amory. Judging by his demenour at the hustings at the weekend and the vibrancy of the lib dem lady, he is on his way out.

jafina · 04/05/2010 13:07

Sadiq Khan (Lab) in Tooting but it is a marginal seat and ladbrokes seem to predict he will lose to the Conservatives.

Heartbrokenforpup · 04/05/2010 13:09

John Leech Lib Dem,

had previously been Labour for years.

I suspect it will remain Lib Dem, but I vote labour.

ArcticRoll · 04/05/2010 13:17

David Lepper,Labour -he is standing down.
Concerned that Labour will lose-Greens are fighting this seat and are doing well-no point in having a Green MP if we have Tory government.

UnquietDad · 04/05/2010 13:21

Nick Clegg (Lib Dem, Sheffield Hallam). I think he'll hang on, somehow...

ooojimaflip · 04/05/2010 13:22

Diane Abbott. She will win.

PinkFuschia · 04/05/2010 13:23

Noahandthewhale - we must live close to each other as Alastair Burt is my MP too. No chance of anyone beating him as his majority is mahoosive and the other candidates have done bugger all in my village.

MuminBeds - Luton South is going to be very interesting. I used to live there and that is the result I shall be staying up for. I think it's elected an MP for the party that has been in government since 1951. It will be fascinating to see what happens this time (please God, not the Tories!)

azazello · 04/05/2010 13:31

Twofalls - I'm in Evan Harris' constituency too. I reckon he'll win although I keep being told its close. I've seen an awful lot of posters around for him and 5 or so for the others so think he'll win it.

mussyhillmum · 04/05/2010 13:36

Lynne Featherstone (Lib Dem). She is fab - works VERY hard for her constituents. It would be criminal if she lost her seat!

azazello · 04/05/2010 13:38

Waves at mussyhillmum. I used to be in Lynne Featherstone's consitutency last time. I was so pleased she won the seat from Barbara Roche who was utterly incompetent.
