They won’t! SNP will win 🏆

Reform will come second according to polls and a good chance of winning at Westminster in a couple of years

The party you blame for these things are set to win a majority in May which does suggest it’s a minority issue does it not?

Their majority has been slashed to the point where they have very little power.

Yes, they'll win. Just. But they need to address the reasons why they've failed to remain so popular.

ohnonotthisargumentagain · 12/04/2026 21:36

No it just shows that snp supporters don’t care about women but I think we all knew that already.

Violent boys are even more of a problem if they are in girls toilets as well as their classrooms.

and who said anything about Reform who will not deliver anything that they headline!
instead of telling us not to think about this tell your politicians to stop pushing it if it is so unimportant

All you care about is toilets it is really depressing. Meanwhile the world burns.

"Sure Barlinnie is overflowing but we'd be even more at risk from the serial killers if they could come in the ladies' lavs!!!"

The last election had the highest turn out in the history of the Scottish Parliament . SNP won.

Is there a thread that anti trans people won’t try to take over?

The Tories want to cut taxes to the point where there won't be a functioning state

Who cares if men can go in women's public spaces if there are no public spaces?

Get a grip you luxury issue loons!

talking about money for services, I don’t like the effort that the SNP wastes on their Indy dreams. Yes, I know it’s their raison d’etre. One of the items in the Scottish Conservatives manifesto says they will “Propose a new law to ban the Scottish Government from spending taxpayers’ money on pro-independence propaganda.” I can agree with that.

Can you give us examples of when they have?

They're also cutting taxes so drastically there will be very little of the spending you currently rely on

Pushing for another independence referendum perhaps.

YellingAway · 12/04/2026 21:58

In addition to my concerns about education, health, investment, can I also add in the ferries debacle. I really don’t think that people realise how much islanders rely on these lifeline services. They don’t just bring in tourists, but medicines, transport islanders to hospital appointments, including cancer treatment, and infrastructure equipment.

The SNP have demonstrated a complete disregard for/lack of awareness about these issues especially in light of the ongoing debacle with the Glen Sannox et al.

Sorry. How did that use tax payers money?

If you read my post, I specifically referred to “effort”.

SpookyQ · 12/04/2026 22:04

I can’t wrap my head around anyone who works in eduction, health or the police voting for SNP when we can see the utter state of things, nothing is getting better it’s just getting worse!

I don’t know who would do a better job but something has to change surely. I feel really worried for the future if the SNP win again.

ProudAmberTurtle · 12/04/2026 22:05

If the trans issue is such a minor issue then why do some of the parties pretend that men can become women?

Analysis of the US election in 2024 found that the 'Trump is for you, Kamala is for they / them' advert was the most effective by far and the Democrats support for trans cost them the election.

Odd then that you'd risk everything over such a small, irrelevant, luxury issue.

Not anti trans.

Pro women's rights.

Sorry. I’m a woman and tbh, the last thing on my mind is public toilets. Women are mainly abused by people who know them or live with them. The trans distraction from this does none of us any favours.

I'm talking about the General Election where the SNP lost loads of seats at Westminster.

Which demonstrates that they're losing popularity and credibility generally.
