Is the murder of Renee Good by Trump's immigration police news in the U.K.?

As Trump keeps pursuing this insane violent crackdown, supposedly on illegal immigrants, but actually much beyond that - A woman in Minneapolis was shot, in her car. Luckily there is a ton of video, but Trump's people are already maligning her, and it's a horrible tragedy.

His own camera recorded it, yet Vance is telling us he’s the brave victim.

I found the ‘lesbian bitch’ comments awful .
There seems to be a misogynistic element at play. The ICE officer was angry that a middle aged white liberal would not bow to his authority and this seems an issue with Trumps whole maga movement. It seems we have one on here too

ICE officers are not vetted and trained properly, failed police officer only delighted to get guns and a large signing free fo roam the streets rounding up non criminal migrants. I hope he’s horrified at what he’s done.

He never said lesbian bitch. He probably didn’t know they were a couple, just a pair of leftist activists from his POV.

I believe his exact words after getting hit by an SUV were ‘fucking bitch’ which tbh I might have said something even worse if I was hit by a car by someone being extremely negligent AT BEST

Why can’t they just leave ICE agents alone and go protest (peacefully) at federal buildings? Why engage in these dangerous games?

Justdancevance · 23/01/2026 09:03

He called her a ‘fucking bitch’
hes clearly not up to the job, the selection process and training should have weeded him out

I’m in the US. So I know exactly what’s going on here.

Then why are you so unaware of ICE activities elsewhere? They are currently doing big operations in TX, FL, TN and ME. These are just those I know of through the news.

My home state is not among these but I can confirm they are active in my hometown.

This is an interesting cultural difference.

It’s not unusual for American cops to use expletives on the job, and it’s not seen as unprofessional.

He's not a cop.

So it’s not unusual to call someone a fucking bitch before shooting them in the face.

i can’t believe someone is trying to normalise that.

I think he actually called her that straight AFTER shooting her, which is somehow even worse.

Yes, it was after he shot her and the car was moving away.

Some people will literally defend anything Trump and his Brownshirts do.

Funny, that I’d always been told, often by Americans, that ‘using profanity’ was a much bigger deal in the US than it is over here in our foul-mouthed little swamp. There was that hilarious thread years ago when a bored creationist decided to come and try to troll/convert us all to creationism, and ended up telling us all off for swearing, resulting in MNHQ posting their short-lived slogan ‘Mumsnet - the one with the swearing’. Could it be that in fact Americans vary in their tolerance for swearing, just like us? There’s also a difference between a policeman saying ‘what a fucking shitshow, fuck me’ and ‘that fucking bitch’ - the latter is more aggressive to an individual, and I think that’s what we are reacting to and what I’d regard as so particularly unacceptable.

TBF if you recorded British police unawares after a tense confrontation the air would no doubt be equally blue - as we know from various horrible WhatsApp leaks. There the problem again is less the number of swear words than the denigration of individuals and the sharing of pictures of crime victims, particularly black women. Also way past unprofessional to criminal behaviour.

Yep. The two on here would be hard to stomach, but they’re a useful example of Trump, ICE et al’s supporters. They’d be funny if we weren’t talking about such horrific incidents.

Because they clumsily obfuscate, go around in circles, dispute proven events and say shockingly callous things about victims, they’re cliches of Trump supporters down to the ‘crazed leftist’ comments when we’re discussing events that are known to be true. The disputing facts about ‘police’ swearing, when we’re talking about ICE shooting a woman dead, is textbook.

Disappointingly, we haven’t had any religious ‘Trump as our magnificent saviour sent from god’ types turn up yet as they’re always good value to understand the mentality that got him where he is now.

Personally I’d say the issue is him brazenly shooting a woman dead. The swearing is just an illustration of his apparent disdain for her.

He didn’t get hit by the car though did he? It’s absolutely clear from all the video evidence. And shooting someone in the face is completely disproportionate. Their politics - “leftists” - are irrelevant. She was driving away. I fear for the US if people are genuinely defending such abject appalling behaviour.

Like many things, it’s context dependent.

I’m sure the military is the same way, though I wouldn’t know.

Also, regional differences. Northerners are more sweary than Southerners, who I’m told have good manners. Idk never spent much time there

You all are so sneery, yet you can’t even get the basics right.

Nobody is disputing that he got hit anymore. You aren’t allowed to hit people with your car.

She may not have intended to hit him, but she was extremely negligent in that moment. Don’t forget another ICE agent and HER WIFE had their hands on the side of the SUV at that time. They could have easily got their hands or clothing caught and been dragged by her.

Yes, there's no doubt ICE have been heavy handed in some instances, but all the liberal leftists should ask themselves if they'd really like to have drug cartels as their neighbours and their community laid waste by opioid addiction.

There's a level of complacency on these boards, probably because some of the posters here live in neighbourhoods that are not afflicted by these issues and people in the mainstream media also live in nice, safe neighbourhoods.

“In some circumstances “ is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that response. Stop making excuses about the behaviour of an out of control armed militia. To conflate all immigrants with drug cartels is spurious and anyone with an ounce of integrity would not try to excuse murdering a woman in plain sight by trying to say that immigrants = criminals. We see what you are doing.

Justdancevance · 23/01/2026 13:44

They aren’t arresting drug dealers, they’re picking up five year old children and shooting women in the face.

Big Brave men wearing masks 😆 dragging people out of court rooms at hearings, why aren’t they going after these ‘drug dealers’
Because like their leader, these bullies are cowards

5MinuteArgument · 23/01/2026 13:55

It's very likely that all the bile spewed against ICE is coming from people who've never lived in neighbourhoods afflicted by drugs and criminality.

If they had experienced this, they wouldn't hold such liberal complacent views.

Yes it’s not like people actually neighbours are turning up to protect them … oh hang on

5MinuteArgument · 23/01/2026 14:12

Yes, there are leftists involved in a campaign to disrupt ICE operations. Often bringing their vehicles in an attempt at disruption.

But if you want to carry on believing that everyone who enters the US illegally is a hardworking model citizen, go ahead.

5MinuteArgument · 23/01/2026 14:14

Some people on these boards must live in a lovely world. Everyone who enters a country illegally is a model citizen, no drug dealers, murderers or gang members.

Enjoy your bubble.

Drug dealers, murderers and gang members galore in the US jails - they just happen to have entered the US (illegally, some might say) a few generations ago. If ICE were as quick to round these immigrants currently evading jail you might have a point.

No, it's coming from people who object to masked militia shooting women in the face with impunity. Guess what? The ones shooting people are not the good guys. If you align yourself with them, you're also not a good guy.
