It’s not like the U.K. There’s no vote of no confidence or replacing him with someone the base prefers. There is a fixed order of succession. Vance would be the president for the rest of the term. If Vance died or was impeached and convicted (which has never happened) next in line is Mike Johnson, but I just can’t see any world in which that happens.

There’s no proof my uncle who I’m going to see later is arrive until I get there. That doesn’t mean he’s dead. Most people are alive for the vast majority of the time.

Of course the constitution is still alive and well in the US. They always follow the rules to the letter of the law and uphold the will of the American people rather than enabling a power grab coup. And the safety net to that is the rigorously impartial and objective Supereme Court.
