Scared about a poll I read where Reform wins outright in First Past the Post????

I guess we are years away from a General Election, but I am scared about the rise in populism and the seemingly popular Reform. I think it would be unthinkable to have Farage as our Prime Minister. I don't want a small state, private NHS, racist far right populist, Trumpist in charge of the country.

I know MN is generally fairly anti Reform, Brexit etc, but where are all these Reform voters. I don't know anyone personally who has admitted they would vote for them? Is it the all the disenfranchised young men?

Wealthy pensioners who are loyal to Labour are probably feeling ok.

That doesn’t apply to all.

I see this has been quoted already but worth repeating

Voters aren't just Reform voters; they are not the only people to be considered, to appeal to, whether it is unpalatable to you or not, Liberals have a right to vote for their values and their beliefs, it is not incumbent on them to convince you of anything!

You don’t have to be particularly wealthy not to be fucked over because you didn’t get £150.

Some will be loyal to Labour no matter what. I don’t think there’s enough in that group to stop Reform getting the votes. Mn doesn’t really reflect the polling.

Some of the Labour haters would rather see a Reform government than a Labour one, even though they claim not to support Reform. I find that odd. If you support Reform why not say so?

As a left wing Labour supporter (so not a die hard supporter of Labour currently) I would far rather a Tory government got in than Reform.

Yes, the is the point I was trying to make with the PP, I'm not sure why people can't just be honest about it!

Which of their policies attract you?

I'm not the person you asked that question of. But I did vote Reform for the first time ever in these elections.

Which of their policies attract me? Most of them, to be frank.

However, to be totally transparent, given a choice I would definitely vote SDP as I prefer their policies. However, when you do look at their policies there is a certain element of overlap:

https://sdp.org.uk/policies/

Policies - SDP - The Social Democratic Party

Our policies flow logically from the aims and values set out in the New Declaration published in 2018.  Contrary to the claims of modern-day liberals and libertarians people do not exist in isolation. We are all part of multi-layered communities.  Cons...

I’m so disappointed in Janice Turner, she’s really gone down in my estimation.

How strange to be so feverish in your belief that Reform will win the next GE but not even know what policies you think will win that for them, the policies that you claim you aren't a fan of?

How strange to claim the poster is “feverish in their belief” in Reform when they don’t support them and are simply pointing out that Labour’s lies and uselessness are handing R thousands of votes on a platter.

Do you understand what Sarcasm is.

I’m surprised people ask this but there are countries outside the ECHR that score highly.

NZ, Canada, Aus, Japan, Taiwan. This is a good link https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/freedom-index-by-country

The same Canada where disabled people who aren't terminally-ill are routinely killed by the State via "medical assistance in dying"?

I'm a Reform voter along with most of my friends. Conservatives and Labour have been useless and Nigel Farage speaks to the people. In interviews he's the only politician that answers the questions posed. He has political conviction. He will I'm sure make mistakes but I trust he'll put the British people first.

I very much doubt he will put the people of Britain first at all. Look at the way he stokes up division through xenophobia and doesn't do anything for his constituents in Clacton. He doesn't hold surgeries, he goes to Washington insead of attending parliament.... I could go on! There will be no UK if that man and his cronies get into power.
