Asylum seekers are asylum seekers - regardless of how they journey- until either their application is accepted or denied by the Home Office. If their application is rejected and they remain in the UK they will be staying on illegally.

We follow due process - it’s fundamental to the rule of law.

The reason people will vote Reform is to give Labour and the Conservatives a good kicking - so if the trickle turns into a tsunami at the locals how will this not influence parties at the next election.

We only have a county council and no districts.
They also voted to rise council tax to maximum amount. Their leaflet was a waste of paper and went straight in recycling bin.
Most people around me don’t even understand the difference between parish councils and county council. Complaining no election for the parish when only 8 people out the 15 seats bothered to put themselves forward.

Arriving on boat, seeking asylum = not illegal
Staying after asylum is turned down= illegal.

P&O are in trouble then...all those people entering the UK from their boats.

There's no law saying that people have to enter a country a certain way to claim asylum.

Despite claims in pp Labour aren’t rejoicing they’re trying to gain back support. Removing citizen rights for some a few weeks ago, spending a huge amount for a deportation video, talk of the Balkans for removal hubs today.

The Tories tried that with the Illegal Immigration Act.
