Will Reform win any votes at the local elections?

A two tier legal system? I thought Reform didn't like anything two tier.

No, they’ve been very clear about that.

Only when it favours others.

Have an alternative law to replace to keep all other laws but to enable removal off illegal immigrants.

In order to be classed as an "illegal immigrant" a person has to have had their application for settlement denied, at which point deportation happens. So rather than the knee-jerk "stop the boats" rhetoric, maybe Nige and the gang could actually come up with a way to process those applicants more swiftly....which won't happen because by the time he's given tax-breaks for all, there'll be no money left to pay for it.

They aren't a political party. They are a limited company. They exist to make money for their owners which no doubt they will. They want to divide the nation and use fear and ignorance to make money and power for themselves.
They no doubt will do well as lots of people are pretty gullible and can't see beyond their popularist policies.
If they can power they will do nothing to improve the lives of the people they used to get them there as they aren't interested in anything other than power and money.

Edited

They are a political party, as the ltd company critique you need to read the article of memorandum and see the Purpose of the company first before you judge. They aim is more honorable than the other parties as they represent the will of the majority the underdog roared and the party represents. None of the other parties grasps the reality and is week in leadership.😀

I really know nothing about these laws etc but would you mind explaining why it is that the UK can’t “sends them back to france”? Is the Channel just the UKs responsibility?

And why don’t the people who have made it to France, or anywhere in Europe, stay and claim asylum there? Why are they willing to risk the cross to get here?

Again, I’m very ill informed about the ins and outs of asylum/illegal migration.

thank you!

The people trying to get to the UK by boat are coming for several reasons. They may speak English, they may have friends or family here, they may think it's easier to get work, they may have no choice as they've paid people smugglers and this is where they're being taken, they may have heard life is better in the UK.

Once the asylum seekers have entered British water, they are Britain's responsibility. France doesn't want them back and as a sovereign nation, can't be forced to take them back.

It can be made a very quick process.

It’s been nice chatting. I’m logging off now. @TalkToTheHand123 you have at least four years to educate yourself about international law.

So how would they stop them exactly?

No it can't. How do you return people to a country without finding out which country they're from and getting permission to return them?

feellikeanalien · 19/04/2025 13:39

SerendipityJane · 19/04/2025 11:34

Stop the boats crossing the Humber? Or the Thames or the Tyne?

But there's no danger
It's a professional career
But it could be arranged
With just a word in Mr. Churchills ear

😀

That's exactly what I had going through my head when I heard that.😁

I don't think any of the main parties seem to be taking these elections seriously. I've had nothing from any of them apart from Reform. I won't be voting for them but wonder if some undecided people may be influenced by this.

They'll refuse the boat permission to dock and escort it out of French water.

Send them to Rwanda to process.

So you think Labour are doing a good job or Tories would return and do great?

Thousands of unknown people are coming to the country each week, causing security risks and costing the tax payer more and more each day.

Ah, it’s an anti immigration post, not a real conversation about parties and policies

i’m shocked…

TopPocketFind · 19/04/2025 13:41

They're already in British water and France won't accept them back. So escort them where?

Fupoffyagrasshole · 19/04/2025 13:44

Op if the uk was one day destroyed by flooding or something extreme or war torn and you you tried to escape somewhere safe - I hope nobody lets you in and leaves you fending for yourself in a boat in the sea.
