Ex-Soviet spy makes sensational KGB claim about Trump

I remember this too. At the beginning of Trump’s first term conjecture over whether the Russians owned Putin was pretty common. People were talking about the possibility of Russia bailing out Trump financially years before, and the ‘pee tapes.’

Right. And he got rid of all the Russia experts in the State Department. And that incident where he met with Putin and ... can't remember whether he took the notes away from his American translator, or there wasn't an American translator at all.

He's too stupid and vain to be a spy for anyone.

He would have boasted about it before, being the biggliest most brainy spy in the world.

If anything, the Russians have played him, he thinks they are his friends

stupid and vain sounds perfect for their purposes. Easy to manipulate.

This was from last time around...

I don’t believe he has the intelligence or the discretion.

They could be exploiting/ using him without his knowledge. He may has passed them information.

But an actual agent ? Not a chance. This has cheered me right up 😆

Not an agent. They have dirt on him so he does what they say.

Nobody is suggesting that the KGB were stupid enough to trust him with any information. 🤣

They encouraged him to go into politics because they knew his ego would like that. They bankrolled it, seeing where it might go.

Americans were dumb enough to vote for it, twice! Despite all the evidence already there the first time.

Now the chips are being called in and the puppet oliges.

Aria999 · 26/02/2025 01:46

Right. When American banks caught on to Trump's riskiness, to put it mildly, they refused to deal with him, obliging him to turn to Russia.

Which in hindsight is looking on a par with the decision by the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna to reject Hitler's applications.

Precisely.** He's actually so intellectually challenged that he probably thought he got one over on them. Until recently.

Yeah, those evil artists. It's all their fault...

SpuytenDuyvil · 26/02/2025 01:56

75 million people voted for Harris (including me and DH and DS and DIL and nearly everyone else we know.) 77 million voted for Trump, so a fairly slim margin. It's just that the Electoral College makes it look more uneven. In the 2016 election only 1 out of 9 New Yorkers voted for Trump. They knew best what he was really like.

TheCastleDoesNotReply · 26/02/2025 03:04

There's nothing worse than discovering that approximately 50% of the adult population of your country are imbeciles. You have my sympathy. The not-so-dim half of the UK feels exactly the same about Brexit voters.

TheCastleDoesNotReply · 26/02/2025 03:07

@SpuytenDuyvil that's also an appallingly low turnout for a presidential election, isn't it?

Like the UK, many US citizens must now feel like they have nobody sane to vote for at all. That said, how a convicted felon with a brain the size of a pea was ever allowed to stand is incomprehensible. Surely the constitution should change to prohibit this?

SpuytenDuyvil · 26/02/2025 03:21

The US Constitution is VERY hard to change, and for the current moment, we are so grateful. The last time was 1992. It is the last bedrock for those of us who can't actually believe what is happening. About 100 million adults who could have voted did not. It's a sad.

I'm no fan of Russia but even I think Trump is too stupid to work as an agent

I don’t actually believe it’s true but wouldn’t it be hilarious if he’s not as stupid as he makes out and the whole personality was a front to fool everyone and underneath he’s a bigly intelligent spy.

Momtotwokids · 26/02/2025 04:14

Why don't all of you worry about your own government? He is not a spy, an idiot probably.

Couple of things, you don’t know where we live. Second, having a self-interested convicted felon running the United States dictator-style impacts the whole world regardless if he’s compromised by Russia or not. And I think we know that’s what we’re all referring to here, spy is a misleading term. Hope that helps.

PS. it’s possible to be concerned about more than one government at once. We call it multitasking.

If he is just an idiot the he is an extremely dangerous one

I’d like to think he’s been hacked, I didn’t think anything he did would shock me, but fuck me…

Sinkintotheswamp · 26/02/2025 07:47

I still think Putin has serious blackmail material on Trump.

Kleptronic · 26/02/2025 07:55

What has he said please @Breezeblock I'd rather not give him the clicks

jasflowers · 26/02/2025 07:56

No he isn't, but if he is, so is all of the republican party and people like Vance etc etc... his policies/views are supported by those around him too.

The US is just retreating into "Fortress America" which is what they did after WW1.

The US would never have entered WW2 had it not been for Pearl Harbour, when the yanks launched an unprovoked attack on the Japanese.... or so i'm to now believe.

spuddy4 · 26/02/2025 08:06

I wouldn't believe claims from someone who's been accused of abduction and murder and who admitted to lying under oath in his own kidnapping trail. He's got a shady past himself but people hate Trump so much they won't see past anything else.

Hard to know where to start. It’s an AI video of Gaza reimagined as a beach resort with heavily filtered Trump dancing with a semi-naked woman and Elon Musk celebrating. It has a song over the top celebrating Trump (‘Donald Trump will set you free, bringing the life for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear, Trump’s Gaza is finally here’) as some form of saviour. A small kid is holding a golden balloon of Trump’s head. It is seriously unhinged. Money is raining down on people from the sky and there’s a massive Trump Gaza sign on a building.

Don't forget Trump and Netanyahu relaxing together on deckchairs next to a pool in front of the sparkling Trump Gaza hotel, and the bearded dancing ladies on the beach!

I still think Putin has serious blackmail material on Trump.

Most likely hypothesis.
But what?
I don't he'd be concerned about evidence of using prostitutes, however bad the evidence would be in terms of weird kinks. Even evidence of sex with another man, I don't think it would concern him to this degree.
Evidence of personal Russian financing, possibly, but still not that problematic.
It would have to be something incredibly bad and, most likely, illegal.
I can't imagine he'd be any good as a spy for any country.
