Not really because the other poster just claimed to understand the left but didn't provide any evidence to back it up . So you read their claim and accepted it ( I sense a theme shared by many trump supporters).
Where is the list of what 'leftists believe'?
Anyway I'll bite . The right believes in
Individual responsibility is king
That a gap between the poor and the wealthy is a not a bad thing as it provides an incentive to cross it and is in any case unavoidable as it is part of human nature to compete which inevitably leads to losers
That government needs to stay out of business. Regulation stymies businees creativity and enterprise
Capitalism, preferably very lightly regulated is the best system for humans to live in
We should look after our selves first before looking after others
People who commit crimes are 100% percent responsible for where they end up
eyc
These are all ideas that are quite pragmatic and probably reslisstic in that they are about how human beings work and what motivates them. I'd argue that they can go wrong without some regulation to mitigate the human tendency to go to extremes of selfishness sometimes. But I tend to the left in my view
I think moderates on the right are optimistic about human nature, whereas moderates on the left are not and think we probably need to curb some of the worst aspects of human nature with regulation for winners in life and support for the losers
Neither idea is necessarily all wrong but extremes at either end lead to serious problems, which is where we are now
I dont think Trump is ''on the right'. He is pretty much a dictator in the making . Those come in left and right colours pretty equally
