  1. JFK supported by the mob who paid for him to come into power.
  2. JFK Cuban missile crisis.
  3. Clinton M impeachment not to mention starting strikes on irak to detract from it.
  4. Clinton F did not win the seats, Bernie did, the old guard of the party let down the voters,
  5. Biden senile couldn’t string a coherent sentence throughout term of office.

Oh absolutely! In fact I just made that point on another thread!
I want to know what dirt Putin /Musk have on Trump /the republicans that means they can wield this power unchallenged

Probably nothing. He’s just easy to manipulate. Boris nailed it. You flatter him you get whatever you like.

Think we need a diagram to help our lady-brains... 😁

No diagram but I have a photo
Ah forgot the photos don't work!

HaveYouTrumped · 14/02/2025 21:57

@BIWI as I said....

Unless someone says I hate the orange bastard cunt fuck.

There is no discussion because we can't calmly discuss anything.

Do you see?

Go on then. Start a serious one.

madamweb · 14/02/2025 22:02

Trying again

Every one so up in arms about trump, but what about…

Whataboutery at its finest. You can cherry pick all you want. Trump is an ignorant, vile, greedy misogynist. That's all you need to know.

You’ve missed rapist and felon.

Ok, let’s have a calm reasoned discussion. You’re probably aware of the reasons why he’s not liked. What is it about him that you do support?

menopausalfart · 14/02/2025 22:14

I asked a serious question earlier in the thread. The OP disappeared.

Stealer · 14/02/2025 22:32

I think all MN care about is clicks. Money in their pockets.

MonotoneHerbivore · 14/02/2025 22:36

How are you relating that back to this thread?

BIWI · 14/02/2025 22:42

What?!

Stealer · 14/02/2025 22:45

BIWI · 14/02/2025 22:42

What?!

Let any old goady thread stand, Just as long as it generates clicks, You know that so why the fake 'what'?

BIWI · 14/02/2025 22:47

No, it wasn't a fake 'what' - it was an 'I haven't a clue what you're on about' what.

BIWI · 14/02/2025 22:48

Oh, and @Stealer if you think it's a goady thread, then report it

ThDanielDay · 14/02/2025 22:49

Saying nobody was up in arms about an incident where you acknowledge the president was impeached because of it and claiming nobody was up in arms about the invasion of Iraq are spectacularly giving thick takes

Stealer · 14/02/2025 22:52

BIWI · 14/02/2025 22:48

Oh, and @Stealer if you think it's a goady thread, then report it

No point. The clicks are more important than the blatant goady threads. As you well know.

Why do you keep saying 'as you well know'? Are you trying to imply something?

Kickingmyshoesoff · 14/02/2025 20:25

The Ukraine war would never have happened if we had sensible world leaders that weren't on a power trip expanding influence in Ukraine and hoping Russia didn't take bait.

If you mean the Russian invasion of Ukraine, then it wouldn't have happened if the savages stayed in their swamp

nomoretoriesforme · 14/02/2025 23:13

HaveYouTrumped · 14/02/2025 20:30

Op there will definitely be good things coming out of a trump government and thankfully there is access to far more balanced pragmatic and nuanced commentary in the papers and podcasts and radio etc

Unfortunately at the moment every time a trump thread starts you get screaming headless chickens attacking anyone they think supports Trump even if they don't but because they haven't said cunt bastard rapist... You support him

I've actually found the lack of trump threads on here frightening if there is a time to discuss it's now!
But one can see how people don't want to post with the shrieking chickens 🙄

This..

BIWI · 14/02/2025 23:15

@wholettheturnipsburn and @nomoretoriesforme

would like to articulate a bit more clearly what your point(s) is/are? A genuine question, because I don't understand where you're coming from/what you mean.

My point was, I thought, obvious

The poster to which I was replying was talking about Russian -Ukraine war started by other world leaders.

I was pointing out that it was actually an invasion. The savages and the swamp refers to the invaders

MrsTerryPratchett · 14/02/2025 23:33

So start a serious thread, with a considered OP, and you are much more likely to get considered responses. Although no-one can guarantee that on MN!

50/50 at best Grin

Yank here. I’m mystified by it too. No one here obsesses about British politics.

I suppose to be fair we (UK and Europe) are reminded quite frequently of the importance of the U.S. on the world stage and also where we are going wrong.

StandFirm · 15/02/2025 09:31

Kickingmyshoesoff · 14/02/2025 20:30

The world leaders seeking expansion of NATO and EU influence into Ukraine.

But not the guy who actually INVADED the place?

MissConductUS · 14/02/2025 21:34

I think people who 'obsess' over US politics are simply aware of the direct influence of a country that represents 25 or 26% of the world economy, and which for better or worse has been such a consistently dominant power geopolitically. It will really be felt quickly over here. That's all. We should all care. Also because it will influence global culture and as a woman with daughters I care very much about them not having to contend with the ferocious return of a nasty patriarchy.
