Why do people in the UK support Trump?

I've even seen MAGA flags (ok, maybe the owner was American). But Trump's focus and ONLY thing he cares about is America. He couldn't give a shit about the UK and would happily see the UK in ruins if it benefited America.

Most of the people I know who like Trump are
saying they do so because he's actually putting American people first whether it be true or not I don't know. One friend even told me why does any country have a government if it advocates for everyone else except their own people. I know very little about American politics and try not to get caught up in the conversations if I'm honest.

For context we recently had the comical pleasure of Vance lecture Europe on freedom of speech, particularly when by all accounts, the trump government are using threats, coercion and illegality to bully and restrict the freedom of speech of any dissenting republicans ( first ammendment) .

So absolutely you vote for who you want, but just don't expect the rest of the world to fall in line with what we see as this dictatorship in the making and trump in particular, suffering from a severe case of Dunning Kruger

I went to the bother of watching it because I was interested and concerned about how things are developing in the USA and how so many rights are being removed ...maybe you don't care..and that's your choice.

it seems the key here is having a valid passport in your current surname. Apparently, a good percentage of Americans have never travelled outside the US so do not possess this type of paperwork. Perhaps, by the next election, a marriage certificate can be substituted.
