Why do people in the UK support Trump?

I've even seen MAGA flags (ok, maybe the owner was American). But Trump's focus and ONLY thing he cares about is America. He couldn't give a shit about the UK and would happily see the UK in ruins if it benefited America.

Haven't RTFT because I don't think I could stomach it.

I think that Trump supporters in the UK would be a huge minority. He's despicable in every way.

Not watching random videos with no context means I don't watch random videos with no context.

If you want to watch or reference a video then comment on the video, not make sweeping generalisations about those that haven't.

The PP told you what it was about. I told you what it was about. Do you think it’s about squirrels?

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 25/03/2025 16:59

”woke shit” like women’s rights, Medicaid, veteran services, gay marriage, Canada and Greenland being sovereign nations…

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 25/03/2025 17:00

If as a woman you support Trump you either aren’t paying attention or don’t care about women.

The PP said it was about a plan to block women's vote.

A plan by who, and who is making the claim? The PP also said it was claptrap.

They need to make their mind up.

Fyi....treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humour; flippant.

I've helpfully included a video to.explain 'facetious'....just to save you the bother of having to click on it. 😁

You appear to be having a laugh with yourself about your own comments about your own link.

I guess if that's what floats your boat. You'll never get bored I guess.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 28/03/2025 10:30

It’s awful that anyone supports him. All that banging on for years about how shocking Hitler was, and Trump comes along demanding other people’s countries, and idiots rally round him without a hint of irony.

NP101 · 28/03/2025 12:20

I imagine most Trump supporters listen to new media. I don't really ever listen to legacy media now so my opinion on various topics I imagine comes across quite alien to many.

Springtimefordaffs · 04/04/2025 12:07

Trump came in on simple easy to understand policies. He has acted exactly as he said he would. Deported a few criminals in handcuffs, we saw it on TV.
Starmer talks airy fairy nonsense about 'smashing the gangs'.
Trump would make RNLI responsible for the housing and upkeep of every boatload of migrants they land and hand over to the taxpayer to fund.

BIossomtoes · 04/04/2025 12:26

Bloody hell. 🥺

Springtimefordaffs · 04/04/2025 12:55

When you consider that the couple with a motorcaravan only got away with not paying a £1,000 fine by the skin of their teeth. Lorry drivers have had to pay similar fines for stowaways 🤔
I am not advocating it as a policy, but it does have a logic.. . .

TopPocketFind · 04/04/2025 13:23

The RNLI would cease to exist under Trump so you would be watching people drown.

Zonder · 04/04/2025 14:15

Deported a few criminals in handcuffs, we saw it on TV.

Was that the academic with all the right paperwork? That's who I saw getting deported on TV.

Springtimefordaffs · 04/04/2025 14:47

I wish I had changed names for this thread; I am not in any way supporting Trump or Trumpism. I am merely pointing out a contrast between our Prime minister speaking about a vague but laudable ambition to stop the people smuggling gangs and a policy which would be harsh but might be effective in stopping the aqua taxis from Calais.
I am appalled by the lack of leadership from the American legal establishment in just accepting the Rule by Edict which is worse than anything King George issued back in the Colonial days.

TopPocketFind · 04/04/2025 15:15

Aqua taxis Hmm

You’re a bit mad! 🤣

Return2thebasic · 04/04/2025 20:49

The stupid "anti institution" sentiment? I know a ex colleague who supports Boris and Farage and he certainly would enjoy Trump tears down the world order.

He's not a bad guy, just with this very strong anti anything governmental, tax, BBC and so on...🙄

He's obviously a Brexiter and since applied and obtained an Irish passport to go to Spain for holidays.

TalkToTheHand123 · 14/07/2025 16:42

So everyone has just sussed Putin is not a nice guy including the highly intellectual Donald Trump? This guy knows his stuff. He should be so proud of himself making money out of a war and countries who stood by America for 9/11.

Mamebea · 14/07/2025 16:52

Same reason people in Italy liked Mussolini. They invent enemies, his hatred for democrats, divide people, make out he’s making whatever he thinks he’s making great again. Immigrants are always the problem, never billionaires or corrupt perverted politicians, and then you get reform who have followers who behave like cult hardcore MAGA. Say one thing they dont like and you’re a leftie libtard. The cycle continues and political extremism cult fanatics who love their president /prime minister are born. They can no wrong

he hasn’t just worked out Putin is bad, he’s deliberately chaotic. His whole regime is

TalkToTheHand123 · 15/07/2025 00:31

What is the reason for him saying he thinks a deal could be done last few months?

Petuniaspetal · 15/07/2025 08:55

Supporting trump now is like supporting the nazi leader in the 1930s/40s.

TalkToTheHand123 · 15/07/2025 16:30

He's going to invade England?

TopPocketFind · 15/07/2025 16:36

He is building concentration camps
