No questions the Tories were bad, but Labour are on another level.

Are you still happy you voted them in? Be honest now, you are having your doubts aren’t you?

If not, you really should be.

When you get off here maybe take a look off mn, there's loads to get annoyed about re what people are saying about Starmer and Labour

You keep saying this, but in real life many people are saying what Zonder and many of us have said. The WFA decision needs revisiting and the clothing donations are unacceptable. But we are two and a half months in. There will be mistakes and successes along the way. It is too soon to judge.

As for all the rhetoric about higher earners fleeing. There is only one person who has come on this thread and said they have moved away from the UK because of Labour. They have been proved to be, shall we say, unreliable*.

Why is it that people come on a thread like this and fib outrageously? Who are they and what is their motivation?

*By MNHQ. So don't bother reporting me!

You don't know this.

And I think people are missing a lot of commentary on Labour

Not at all missing the commentary. Two tier Keir. Starmer responsible for Edwards getting a light sentence whilst posting hurty words on FB = jail. His meeting with Meloni = he is going to send the people who come in on boats to Albania. That is just a few of the things I have read that spring to mind.

You don't know this

Well I do know this, but I am not sure if I would be breaking rules if I revealed my conversation with MNHQ about a certain poster. I don't want to get banned.

A previous poster was very unreliable on Switzerland, moving etc whilst stating they were some sort of expert, or maybe it was how they worded their posts, i don't know.

One or two posters then seemed to hang on to his or her's every word, which seems to be a regular thing.

Negative commentary on Labour is coming from the usual sources, 'Mail, Express etc.

UK now seen as the "Sick Man" of Europe, as long term sickness rates heads towards 4m of working age people.

That the Tories allowed this to happen is shocking.

Haha just come out with it. No point trying to do the subtle insult

I don't contribute to pile ons just because people are not pro Labour. It's why threads only have one point of view.

Interestingly those in their 29s are more likely to be off on long term sick than those in their 40s.

Sometimes the fibs are obvious. Especially when they assume they're the only person with any expertise in something. And then it turns out they don't know so much after all.

It is not a pile on because a certain poster is not pro Labour. You were fooled by them, some of us weren't.

Sure. If you say so. Pile ons are par for the course on these threads. I only join if they are not 100% pro Labour. Too much otherwise

Troll hunting isn't allowed on mn btw

I am not troll hunting. I reported the poster in question to MNHQ, as did others. If you want to know what happened next and why, ask MNHQ. I am sorry you were taken in by them, it is not a nice feeling.

CassieMaddox · 17/09/2024 20:35

It's a bit weird to be surprised that peo0le that follow politics and support Labour would open and comment on a thread entitled "Labour" on the politics board Confused

I'd have thought it would be entirely predictable Labour supporters and detractors would comment

I found people over invested in the poster and I really don't need this concern.

Really no need to say sorry I feel fine. I don't need to ask MNHQ

And I know you were probably being genuine there but I did laugh a bit

@EasternStandard
Report the posts 😂, that's all it takes these days to get deleted. I know because I used the bot word jokingly, and before I knew it my posts went up in smoke!
It really does not help discussion but that's what posters are doing now, and the moderation is such that the posts are taken down immediately. I am guessing they actually do have bots removing posts, the mechanical type mind.
Pile ons only happen when people add incendiary posts which create mass responses.

I've seen enough threads on here to know that really isn't the case. I don't bother unless there's a few more non Labour people posting, not worth the grief.

I don't think that's fair. MNHQ tend to err on the side of not deleting posts. But there are a couple of words which get an auto deletion. Bot is not one of them. My post and yours would not show up if that was the case.

Summernightsinthe21stcentury · 17/09/2024 20:56

Sorry to disagree @PandoraSox I did question the integrity of the Op which then got deleted, I had actually scored out the word as well, and also the post that I then added which reiterated it was a joke was also deleted.

Actually, MNHQ seem to have veered a long way to the other side over the past year or so, and delete instantly on the first report, even if there is nothing noteworthy in the post itself.

It tends to be, shall we say, more Labour supporting posters that get this treatment on the whole. I wonder why that might be...

Summernightsinthe21stcentury · 17/09/2024 21:00

This post was deleted: 14/09/2024 08:51 but my second one slightly later seems to be back, I posted at 14/09/2024 09:09
It was meant as a little joke, hence the crossing out. No sense of humour it would seem. And yes I have read many things from different sources thanks. Quite well educated actually, in fact a higher rate tax payer as well.

prettybird · 17/09/2024 21:02

Funnily enough, I can't stand Keir Starmer or Labour (was disillusioned by them over 25 years ago) yet manage to engage constructively on the supposedly 100% pro-Labour threads Confused
