Any of you voting Reform?
My area was always labour..( I've never voted labour).. but according to what I'm reading.. it's surprisingly gone the other way.
Will have to wait and see.
Did him being in I'm a Celebrity make him more popular..or is the extreme right the way to go?

I've no intention of voting Reform. Ever.

Getting their campaign material through the letterbox today has sealed the deal. Amongst all of the typos and grammatical errors is a mis-spelling of Britain!

Hatfullofwillow · 20/06/2024 19:19

I'm not, but I'd almost enjoy watching them getting lynched after a year or two of being in power. More than I'll enjoy a Labour government following Tory fiscal policy and ushering in a far right government when they fail to deliver.

Is it the sort of town that many young people leave to progress?

Giveupnow · 20/06/2024 19:22

Very popular in my area. Lots of my family and friends are voting reform, those that would have been due hard torys. why shouldn’t they?

Applepencilplant · 20/06/2024 19:23

Time to move.

Moier · 20/06/2024 19:23

No ..plenty of young people.
It's a city not a town.

@Applepencilplant
Move? I'm not moving.
I paid a fortune for my house and to it converted for my disabilities. I also bought my two daughters an house each out right. I got 3 million compensation .
My family live here and I've lived here all my life.

Not in our area, but where we own another property reform posters are up everywhere, in businesses & homes, so Reform will win a seat there, no doubt about it. I think people are desperate for change and something new tbh.

Moier · 20/06/2024 19:37

@Roselilly36
Yes from what I've read.. it seems people are indeed desperate for a change.
Unless my application for a postal votes arrives.. unfortunately l won't be voting.

Never in a million years would I vote for Farage. He probably admires Hitler. He certainly admires Trump.

MyRamone · 20/06/2024 21:09

He also cosied up to the Russians. So very patriotic! You'd think after surviving Johnson, people would be more adept at spotting a grifter.

Mycatsmudge · 20/06/2024 21:20

OP you might be on a losing wicket here. I’ve noticed lots of people online and irl will tell you they are voting for Labour/Green, very few will do so if they intend to vote conservatives and even less for Reform

Your Facebook is very different to mine!

Of course the extreme right isn’t the way to go. Unless you’re a racist bigot.

What is making you think lots of people are voting reform? Posters or something else?

Moier · 20/06/2024 22:37

I never said l was voting Reform.
Just what I've seen/ heard etc.

No I am not but I remember when Kinnock was down as an absolute sure win for the election and he lost.

Appalonia · 20/06/2024 23:44

I'm in no way a Reform supporter but I've seen a massive amount of support for them on Twitter. There also seems to be a lot of pp who are disillusioned with the Tories but don't see Labour as being much different. I also see a lot of apathy about this election and a lot of pp either not wanting to vote, wanting to spoil their ballots or register a protest vote.

Election night will be very interesting...

He was never tipped to win a majority, but that a coalition Government with Labour and Lib Dem would be possible.
This polls were wrong, but not crazily wrong. and not every poll.

Sweden99 · 21/06/2024 06:38

@Appalonia I agree, my impression also.
I you thought brexit would be brill and we could have a global free trade agreement with all other nations excluded from it, you are going to blame the Tories for it not happening. If you think most NHS managers can be safely sacked because you do not know what they do, if you think Truss had great ideas and the BoE blew it you will be fed up of 14 years of inaction and only Reform are offering the changes you want.

Sillystrumpet · 21/06/2024 06:38

I’ve thought all along that reform is going to do much better than is being predicted It’s going to be like brexit, where there is a shock come election results. Sadly. I’m not saying farage will be the next pm, but I do think something remarkable will happen.

Would you say about 30-40 seats?

Mycatsmudge · 21/06/2024 06:51

Interesting how the BBC debate last night excluded Reform but had the SNP and Lib Dem’s on even though the later is polling lower than Reform and the former only applies to Scotland. The establishment must be running scared.

The Green Party and Plaid Cymru have MPs at the moment and were excluded.

If you think Reform are sidelined from media coverage, you are on another planet.

mids2019 · 21/06/2024 07:18

Nigel Farage starring in 'I'm a celebrity' in retrospect probably broke out concept of an impartial media to a degree. If a truly ex politician made an appearance fair enough but to have a politician on who was still active needed to be looked on by the show producers with a real political perspective. The very mild lampooning of Any and Dec is no substitute for the critical eye we must cast on all our politicians.

I fear reform has added a degree of 'glamour' to a party flirting with the car right and I wonder if Holly Vallance may come to regret this association with the party through her husband.

there may be a possibility they wreck the Tory party and we need to think about that when it comes to looking at our democracy as a whole.
