Trump would actually secure the southern border,

Nah he TALKS about securing the border.

He didn't do it first time and the Republicans are blocking it now.

It's hog wash from him.

Zonder · 16/02/2024 07:31

*He is part of the problem because he along with many others hires illegal immigrants as they are cheap effective labor."

He even goes a step further and marries them.

Trump would be a disaster for America and for everywhere else.

  1. America will become basically become Gilead. He will try to dismantle all of the government institutions keeping nutcases like him in check.
  2. He will encourage conspiracy theories, cults and religious nuts.
  3. He is a Putin's puppet and hates Europe, so would be quite happy for russia to attack as many countries as possible - he said so himself.
  4. And, of course, would be happy for Ukraine to become a province of russia, with most of the population/ Ukrainian culture erased. Which, I guess, a lot of people on here consider an acceptable price to pay for "peace".

Exactly. Trump admires people like Putin and wants to run America the way dictators run a country.

You are horribly correct. It is impossible to grasp how one man can wreak so much damage across the world. And it's somehow even worse that he's just an incompetent vulgar, lying ignoramus.

ToWhitToWhoo · 27/02/2024 22:39

Pros. None.

Cons: He is evil, and has still more evil people around him. And he and his pals encourage the far right in other countries, including the UK.

Trump would actually secure the southern border, which dementia joe has let millions of illegals cross the border intentionally. Trump never started any wars, unlike Biden. Biden has done countless dodgy dealings with China & Ukraine. His son Hunter has slept with underage girls, not too mention his heavy drug use. The us would actually be respected on the world stage again, not the laughing stock they are currently with senile Biden. But yeah Trump is so bad, lol.

You’re a troll, right? Or this post is sarcastic?

Just in case you’re not: Trump as president made the USA a laughing stock. Surely you read some foreign media and could see that? The fact that he may be voted in again is absolutely baffling to almost everyone outside the US - or at least everyone who is sane and not utterly stupid.

HTH.

MyopicBunny · 28/02/2024 15:18

'Never started any wars' - old, often used statement by the MAGA movement. Ignoring the fact that he pretty much brought civil war to America.

Good reply. You can tell a poster is untrustworthy just by the use of "dementia joe" - this in spite of the fact that it's actually Trump who has a family history of dementia.

But although you're absolutely right, Trump claims that the U.S. is a laughingstock under Biden, and millions believe that, although Biden has worked hard to repair foreign relations damaged by Trump.

The user that you have quoted demonstrates the link between Trump and the poorly educated!
I am starting to fear that he will be reelected ☹️

Trump may as well have dementia. He has the most uncertain grip I've ever seen on reality in a US president.

lol again another user confusing Trump with Biden. Biden is the one with dementia, he is losing consistently in the polls even in liberal polls against Trump. I'm sure the democrats will get rid of Biden as the nominee before the democratic convention in August, otherwise they will lose in November.

Hispanics are overwhelmingly for Trump, Trump is proving more popular with black Americans too, especially since the bogus indictments & the mug shot who feel he's now more relatable to them. 97% of ppl who voted for Trump in 2020 will vote for him again in November, where has only 83% of ppl who voted for Biden in 2020 will do so again in November. Trump will win in November if Biden is the nominee!

Trump and the black voters?
Here are the details...
Trump supporters target black voters with faked AI images
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-68440150

Donald Trump supporters have been creating and sharing AI-generated fake images of black voters to encourage African Americans to vote Republican.

BBC Panorama discovered dozens of deepfakes portraying black people as supporting the former president.

Mr Trump has openly courted black voters, who were key to Joe Biden's election win in 2020.

But there's no evidence directly linking these images to Mr Trump's campaign.

The co-founder of Black Voters Matter, a group which encourages black people to vote, said the manipulated images were pushing a "strategic narrative" designed to show Mr Trump as popular in the black community.

A creator of one of the images told the BBC: "I'm not claiming it's accurate."

The fake images of black Trump supporters, generated by artificial intelligence (AI), are one of the emerging disinformation trends ahead of the US presidential election in November.

Unlike in 2016, when there was evidence of foreign influence campaigns, the AI-generated images found by the BBC appear to have been made and shared by US voters themselves.

One of them was Mark Kaye and his team at a conservative radio show in Florida.

They created an image of Mr Trump smiling with his arms around a group of black women at a party and shared it on Facebook, where Mr Kaye has more than one million followers.

At first it looks real, but on closer inspection everyone's skin is a little too shiny and there are missing fingers on people's hands - some tell-tale signs of AI-created images.

I know I will receive lots of hate messages but let me try anyway:
I think if he stayed for the second term his bold and unorthodox stance in foreign policy might have:
Pushed for a peace in Middle East
Prevented a disaster in Afghanistan
Prevented the war in Ukraine
Made a final peace in Korean peninsula

This is my view. You are welcome to challenge it.

How?

ZaZathecat · 11/03/2024 15:18

Trump's answer to stopping the war in Ukraine is to stop funding Ukraine, i.e. let Russia win and take back Ukraine. Yup, pretty easy to 'restore peace' that way.

MyopicBunny · 12/03/2024 01:25

@user1484056932 I don't think you are able to understand subtlety are you? 'lol' I said Trump 'may as well' have dementia because he's delusional and because people like you keep saying Biden has it because you swallow whatever rubbish you watch on YouTube.

You clearly don't even know what dementia is. It's a disease. All people of Bidens age are forgetful.

Exactly. I'd be much more worried about nuclear war happening if Trump gets in again.

Actually, @MyopicBunny, now that you mention it, he is the probably the most unhinged person I've seen in American politics overall, although a few people, like Marjorie Taylor Green, might be in competition.

Cons Trump will be in the White House

Pros Biden won't be.

Blackcats7 · 18/04/2024 12:09

There are no pros. Trump is a psychopath and I fully expect him to change the system to allow him to stay in office forever if he gets in again.
How can so many people be so deluded as to vote for him? I really don’t understand.
Cons well I am 56 so I don’t have enough years left to list them.

Gloriosaford · 18/04/2024 12:20

How can they be so deluded? I think a lot of it is due to lack of education and subsequent deficit in critical thinking skills 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheValueOfEverything · 18/04/2024 12:27

Pros: the rich get richer

Cons:

  • Degradation of democracy, human rights and trust in the USA
  • Deterioration of the rules-based international community, and realignment of the post WWII global world order
  • Further weakening or closure of international institutions such as the UN and NATO
  • Increased suffering of the most vulnerable people globally, eg massive reduction globally in humanitarian aid, of which the USA is the biggest funder globally (eg food aid, refugee response etc).
RaisedbyAlexa · 18/04/2024 12:40

Well there would be peace in Ukraine - sort of. To Ukraine's detriment. I think Trump would be on Putin's side, stop funding Ukraine and say U.S shouldn't get involved.

He would become v pally with Putin again (he's always been Putin's useful idiot). I would suspect any intelligence, if not weapons to go to Russia, not Ukraine

He will leave Nato, leaving it very much depleted ('why should we protect those assholes. They all want a piece of us, they should learn to protect themselves')

He will tell the world that we've got Russia and Putin all wrong, and they are not the enemy. It's the left wingers, the loony EU, misguided / evil Ukraine. Relations with UK will be frosty, unless Reform party get elected

He will become friendly with China - great to do business deals

He will swiftly dismantle the legislative and political systems

Dissenters will not be tolerated. More surveillance. Fewer rights for women and minorities. Expect more death sentences in criminal systems.

I hope that this doesn't come to pass, but it's a real possibility

According to recent polls, your statement that Hispanic voters are overwhelmingly pro-Trump is simply not true. 61% support Democrats and 36% Republicans. Among black voters, 83% support Democrats and `12% Republicans.

Party affiliation of US voters by race, ethnicity, education | Pew Research Center

There is, unfortunately, a fairly strong Republican tendency among non-Hispanic white voters.

2. Partisanship by race, ethnicity and education

The Republican Party now holds a 15-point advantage among White registered voters and a 6-point edge for voters without a college degree.
