Looks like another socialist government will be installed soon.

Socialist??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bless your little cotton socks

Andifin · 05/07/2022 18:29

And why can’t BJ talk without that stupid smile. If he was my child - what’s was my mum’s saying ‘ I’ll wipe that smile right off your face’. He infuriates me.

Yes, it's not a sudden discovery of morals

Rishi said that this is his last position as a minister though or maybe that was what was reported that he said

Surely Boris has got to go now?

I wonder if both Rishi and Savid fancy a pop at the top job

Rishi might just pop off to America with his Green Card

RippleQueen · 05/07/2022 18:30

Could be a poisoned chalice for whoever is next PM, assuming Johnson hasn't super glued himself to No 10

3amAndImStillAwake · 05/07/2022 18:30

His resignation letter says something like "I accept this may be my last ministerial position"

Yay, another patronising MNer.

Grantanow · 05/07/2022 18:31

Well done Sajiv and Rishi. Hope more to follow. The blue touchpaper has been lit.

Rishi certainly has ambitions but he'd be another disaster.

They obviously coordinated their resignations, I wonder if they've agreed that one will back the other for leader.

It was an immediate response to an interview the PM did.

"Speaking to BBC political editor Chris Mason, Mr Johnson said he was "fed up with people saying things on my behalf" and wanted to set the record straight."

How fuming would you be with that if you'd been one of the people getting sent out with various versions of "the truth" to defend the PM for weeks on end?

He said this 'may' be his last ministerial position I.e. if BJ remains as PM he won't get back in

But if he either a) wins the leadership contest and becomes PM, or b) supports the winner, he knows he's one of the prominent Tories and will be back in a senior position

Well, Blow Job didn’t go when he was supposed to, so the behind the scenes machinations had to go nuclear so he doesn’t have the choice anymore. And all of that is fine, except, what now? Because, and please ffs don’t anyone take this as a pro BJ comment, I think there actually could be someone worse. And that someone is: the Gove creature.

PlanetNormal · 05/07/2022 18:32

My guess is that Therese Coffey will be next.

Early in Covid I felt sure Rishi would be PM before too long. I'm not sure he can recover from the wealthy wife and tax dodges though.

Yes I think you are right.

I wonder if Boris is sitting in a fridge

Yay, another patronising MNer.

Define socialist, and compare with the manifesto of any major political party to prove me wrong

Considering you think conservatives are conservative, me or anyone explaining to you what a socialist is will be a colossal waste of time.

RippleQueen · 05/07/2022 18:35

When he goes, I hope the new PM likes expensive wallpaper

DasGirl · 05/07/2022 18:37

Wait guys, what's going on?
Have they had enough of all the lies or is there more to it? I think there's more to it

RedToothBrush · 05/07/2022 18:37

Oooooo Tory Leadership Popcorn anyone?

Jenasaurus · 05/07/2022 18:37

Will Boris make an announcement tonight do you think
