I actually thought they would win, and there was nothing anyone could do. Now I think they will lose.

The amount of people who have suffered because of cuts to disability benefits are nowhere near the amount of people who have been swinging the lead for many years, with very little wrong with them

I know this was said ages and ages ago but I had to quote it. I actually cannot believe anyone could possibly hold this opinion? It is ridiculously hard to get on DLA/PIP. You need mountains and mountains of medical evidence, its not just a sicknote as some seem to think. Hundreds (at least) of seriously ill people have died after being refused what they were entitled to on the word of someone who has had 3 days 'disability awareness' training. usually a bunch of lies also.

I actually can't believe anyone could believe that there are more fraudsters than people genuinely entitled who have been denied (and possibly died/got worse because of this). Right wing rags and c5 have done a marvelous job of demonizing the disabled...

Yes i guess i must have imagined DHs 1995 assessment. Hmm

At least with social media at our fingertips now though there will be less chance to gaslight and rewrite history.

ToastDemon · 01/06/2017 20:11

She said she wasn't going to call an election though. And then she did. Yet another u turn. Of course she thought it would be an easy win.
The thought of that woman and her dream team negotiating Brexit is horrifying.

christinarossetti · 01/06/2017 20:50

I bet she wishes that she hadn't bothered now!

What an absolute shit storm for her.

ShoesHaveSouls · 01/06/2017 21:01

At the moment, it looks like TM is going to be left with egg on her face.

How on earth has she managed to run such a disastrous campaign?

She was streets ahead when she called the election - now look at her. I mean, she'll win (unfortunately) - but will she increase her majority at all? It's looking unlikely.

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:04

Well lets face it she lied about calling an election, she thinks she is so high and mighty she can win without doing anything, the odds are closing in. and its her own fault, I mean whoon earth would send a recently bereaved person to do the work for her?

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:06

Gottagetmoving, you are a nurse now??? incredible, I have saw begging posts fromdoctors and nurses, we have had begging letters sent home from school because the education system has been sut to thebone, its utterly bloody disgusting. howon earth can you say anything like that?

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 21:22

I don't know what will be worse on 9 June - the sobbing and wailing if the Tories win or the celebrations and smugness if Labour wins!

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 21:23

It's not representative of RL - people tend to just get on with things like they did after the Brexit result

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:23

What about the smugness of the cheating tories who actually signed jeremey corbyn in??? I would pay lots to wipe the feckin smirks of their faces!

Cakeahoy · 01/06/2017 21:24

LiviaDrusillaAugusta

Quite telling that if the Tory's won the overall mood will be sobbing vs a country in celebration if Labour win Grin

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 21:25

That's the whole point - it won't be the country reacting like that - just the people on MM

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 21:25

Is this about the ones who allegedly joined the party to vote for JC?

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 21:26

*MN even! Blush

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:27

No its not all about the ones that joined the tory party to vote for him, but it would make me feckin smile!!! I actually was going to vote for May against the cheating scumbags, however the moreI see of Corbyn the more I like him! and the more it would bloody serve them right!

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:28

LiviaDrusillaAugusta and yes, I have friends who are in the party and they admitted themselves they signed up to vote for him!

summermummy2016 · 01/06/2017 21:30

errrr Headofthehive55
What cuckoo land hospital are you working in? Life-saving surgery not being cancelled??!!! WTactualF???!!!

dontcallmelen · 01/06/2017 21:37

Headofthehive if you are a nurse, I'm a fucking banana.

Headofthehive55 · 01/06/2017 21:40

summer I can only say my experiences. I know it doesn't fit the rhetoric but I can't help that. Would you prefer I lie?

Headofthehive55 · 01/06/2017 21:41

dont how rude.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 01/06/2017 21:43

Quite telling that if the Tory's won the overall mood will be sobbing vs a country in celebration if Labour win

I doubt it. Unless Labour get a landslide then a heck of a lot of people won't have voted for them.

MN is strange at times

Killdora · 01/06/2017 21:44

Aye.

If you are a nurse, I'm two fucking bananas Grin

muckypup73 · 01/06/2017 21:46

Killdora, thats what I thought!

ethanrayne · 01/06/2017 21:49

I agree with Livias post - I'm not decided yet but I genuinely don't think either main party is a cause for celebration and as much as I dread my Facebook feed now (which if anything to go by means labour are sure fire winners) I just feel like I felt after the referendum- scared.

If they did that, doesn't it show how crap the leadership voting system was? Although who could really be arsed?

But If they couldn't be arsed to check people out before letting them have a say in the leadership then tough.

It's funny how everyone knows someone who did that - and yet any comments on benefit fraud are shouted down as apparently it never happens Grin
