Lifelong Labour supporters who feel we need a more robust leader than Corbyn, how are you voting?

I have always voted Labour. I am a socialist. I loathe everything thé Tories have done to the disabled, to schools, their priorities are not mine. But I also feel strongly that Corbyn is incompetent. Thinking of voting Lib Dem with a heavy heart.
Any advice?

Nearly 40 years of voting Labour. Member of the Labour Party. I'll be voting Lib Dem.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/05/2017 18:16

Labour. It's to do with core ethics, in my opinion. I can't vote Lib Dem.

Don't give me the 'poor excuse' line for not voting Labour because of Corbyn. It's pathetic.

My reasons for not doing it are extremly valid. You just don't agree with them.

user1471453601 · 04/05/2017 18:19

Labour, despite wishing Corbyn would step down. I'm a member of the party and our Labour constituency MP is a very good constituency MP (and anti brexit).

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 18:21

My 'core ethics' won't allow me to vote Labour whilst Corbyn and his team are in charge.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/05/2017 18:23

That's fine, and why I said 'my opinion'.

As in, vote for the core ethics of a party. Maybe I didn't word it very well

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/05/2017 18:24

There's no need to be rude and say I'm pathetic. It's just my opinion which is what the OP asked for.

TalkinPeece · 04/05/2017 18:25

Todays election is about LOCAL councils.
You should vote on LOCAL issues
like roads and buses and bins
NOT
Brexit or Corbyn.

TheCrowFromBelow · 04/05/2017 18:25

I'm not a Corbynista but I do believe the Labour party is bigger than one man and I'm voting for manifesto, not for him.
I wish I'd become a member to make my voice heard in that vote.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 18:27

Sorry but there is no need to be rude and post an inflamtory picture claiming that those that aren't voting Labour because of Corbyn are using poor excuses.

It is a perfectly valid reason.

Dawnedlightly · 04/05/2017 18:28

Life long Labour, desperately wanted Corbyn to be great. I'm voting for my MP. Grin

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 18:28

Todays election is about LOCAL councils.

No it isn't. Some of us have big mayoral elections aswell.

Squigglypig · 04/05/2017 18:30

Lib Dem. Dislike everything about Corbyn but actually deeply unimpressed with the lot of them over Brexit. I have decided I am more of a liberal than a socialist.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/05/2017 19:15

You're clearly looking for a fight, but I'm not interested. As you were.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 19:22

No not clearly looking for a fight at all. Posters something inflammatory like that picture you must know it will get people's backs up.

As you were.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 19:23

*posting not posters

TalkinPeece · 04/05/2017 19:27

Piglet
Corbyn is not standing for election today.
You need to cast your vote about who will be best for your city
not about Brexit and the larger political parties.

There are Labour bods who loathe Corbyn
and Tory bods who loathe May

In LOCAL elections you need to vote about what is right for YOUR LOCALITY

roywoodsbeard · 04/05/2017 19:45

Still not decided here. I'm a life long Labour voter, but I'm not sure if I can vote
Labour in the GE. I think Corbyn is a hopeless leader and I'll never forgive him for his pathetic performance in the remain campaign. I also believe he is a very stubborn man who doesn't listen to others' views.

My current MP is Labour (ousted a Lib Dem in 2015) and very much anti Brexit. I have no idea yet whether I will vote Labour or Lib Dem next month. And I never thought I would say that in my lifetime.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 20:11

We don't have LOCAL elections we have MAYORAL elections that cover the WHOLE of the West Midlands and much of Warwickshire.

KimJongCunt · 04/05/2017 20:37

I'm voting Labour.

I'm exponentially more anti-tory than I'll ever be anti-Corbyn.

The libdems are inept in coalition with the tories, make no mistake that a vote for lib dems is a vote for a tory led government.

Isn't it the definition of insanity to repeat the same actions with the hope of different results?

Yes, well.
I'm still remarkably sane thank you very much.

BelleTheSheepdog · 04/05/2017 20:43

SheRah can't you see that your repost was rude and insulting?

In my opinion you are a fool.

Do you see how an opinion isn't necessarily free of rudeness?

alltouchedout · 04/05/2017 20:46

Labour.

TalkinPeece · 04/05/2017 20:48

Piglet
Which candidate for the West Midland mayor will be the best for the region ?
Which one will take control of transport?
And education?
And social care?
as THAT is what should be driving your vote

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/05/2017 21:42

Wow, well it's obviously touched a nerve, but I agree with it! I don't listen to the media opinion of Corbyn, and I'd rather Labour led by him than another 5 years of Tory hell.

Don't talk down to me Belle, thanks.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/05/2017 21:48

Wow, well it's obviously touched a nerve, but I agree with it!

Good for you. Many others don't and for very legitimate reasons, whether you agree with it or not.
