Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

Just seen on Sky news that DT's Trade Chief is urging businesses to profit from Brexit and leave Britain, cheers Claig Hmm

DarthPlagueis · 26/12/2016 14:15

I'm sure there will be a convoluted excuse as to why this is untrue, or will be for our benefit. That or it will be an example of the elite trying to put Trump down ( even though its said by his own appointed trade chief and reported i a newspaper owned by one of his supporters.

Ignorance is strength.

Lweji · 26/12/2016 14:37

And these news came out just before Christmas.

Trump to dissolve his charity to remove all appearance of conflict of interest.
A) never mind his businesses, I suppose?
B) the foundation IS under investigation (unlike a certain other), so rather convenient, except it might not be possible to.

fortune.com/2016/12/25/donald-trump-foundation-challenges-investigation/

Where are those tax returns?

Lweji · 26/12/2016 14:40

And I fail to see how putting America first will be of any benefit to the UK.

If Trump calls all companies in and makes those great deals to benefit the US alone, the UK better prepare to beg for scraps.

DarthPlagueis · 26/12/2016 15:00

But Trump will make deals with the UK that will benefit us! He will also bring about the destruction of the EU and the euro which will be of great benefit to us and the US and mean that everyone else will have to dance to his tune.

That or what will actually ensue if any of it happens is a massive economic crisis which will favour those with cash reserves, and beggar everyone else.

Lweji · 26/12/2016 16:11

Or those who caused the economic crisis and are able to cash in on it. Say, as in buying real estate at a low price, as some or other Presidential candidate said.

FannyCradock · 01/01/2017 23:16

Where the heck is The Claigster?

PhilODox · 01/01/2017 23:31

I'm guessing they don't work over the christmas period? Hmm

Lweji · 01/01/2017 23:37

You mean, Trump fans? :)

FannyCradock · 01/01/2017 23:46

Yes Lweji Grin
Good point Phil Wink

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 01:30

I lurked here for ages before posting and I'm really suprised to see that there are a lot of posters who post all day every day and night, who have vanished completely over the xmas period.

Strange.

FannyCradock · 02/01/2017 01:33

I know, its very odd indeed.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 08:30

Maybe they got caught out in the great diplomat exodus.

Or have finally realised they were indeed conned.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/01/2017 09:01

So what has happened in the last few days?

We've learned that Trump thinks couriers are safer than computers and that he is in awe of his young sons computing skills. We also learned that he knows stuff we don't, but he's going to tell us about that tomorrow or the day after. Does he know more than the 17 intelligence services who said Russia was behind the hacking? We wait with baited breath.

He issued some truly odd New Years tweets, then remembered he was supposed to be uniting people.

What else?

claig · 02/01/2017 09:02

'Where the heck is The Claigster?'

Right here, back again. Happy New Year everyone.

Some lurkers may have thought that the elite had banned me for speaking common sense and "telling it like it is" (Trump style) but I was only having a Christmas break.

'I lurked here for ages before posting and I'm really suprised to see that there are a lot of posters who post all day every day and night, who have vanished completely over the xmas period.'

Lweji remained here throughout, but I needed to get things done for Christmas, was spending too much time pointing out the errors in
DarthPlagueis's thought.

3 prolific pps, not a peep anywhere over the holiday period.
There was supposed to be a truce for Christmas, but it's still odd.
Maybe they'll come back with gifts, although I wouldn't call them wise and they're not (supposed to be) men.
Just waiting to see if they return after Epiphany, but we may need to wait till after the 19th January.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 09:06

Spoke too soon. :)

Lweji · 02/01/2017 09:09

They wouldn't as you called the Christmas break. :)
Maybe you were fed up of trying to fight against good sense.

The holidays haven't been good for Trump. His tweets have been a cringe fest rather than Christmas.

fourmummy · 02/01/2017 09:12

Happy New Year to all. Still reading but Christmas and New Year celebrations took their toll. Just revving up again for the 20th. Very exciting.

claig · 02/01/2017 09:13

'His tweets have been a cringe fest rather than Christmas.'

That sounds like BBC Establishment reporting on Trump's tweets. Nothing could be further from the truth. Trump even offered some consolation to the Establishment, elites, Oxbridge teams and all the rest who lost to him

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 31 Dec 2016

Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/01/2017 09:19

as I said. bizarre.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 09:19

Like I said: cringe fest.

It's pathetic behaviour from anyone who wants to and will be President.

Petty and divisive.
And, no dear, I don't need anyone else to tell me so. I just need to read his tweets.

claig · 02/01/2017 09:34

'Like I said: cringe fest.'

I think you re mixing Trump up with what was the "old politics", the "Establishment politics", Blair making a speech to Blairites about the "return of the muscular centre" or Cameron making a teenage-whizzkid scripted speech on the Big Society, followed by the whizzkid duly receiving an MBE in the New Year's Honours List for services to spin and to the Establishment.

The days of spin and Cameronian cant are over. 2016 was a revolution. The people have spoken and the elites did not like what they said.

We now have Donald Trump as President and the elites and all their teams are devoid of ideas and spin to combat the people. And it will only get worse for them in 2017. The BBC will have its work cut out in 2017 to save the elites from the people.

lweji political offices are closed over holiday periods Hmm

PhilODox · 02/01/2017 10:26

Bah- that was meant to be a wink, sorry!
Also, it's still Hanukkah I believe.
