Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

Or claig herself. The threads have been getting a bit repetitive lately (same old same old) and it does liven things up. I only come on here because it's like picking at a scab - I do it because it's there.

Missswatch · 21/12/2016 16:34

No this one was from the right - Bertrand was reported for asking questions

It was harassment

Roussette · 21/12/2016 16:35

Don't agree missssss. It's all about debate and asking questions, most of which get ignored. Especially if they're twicky.... errr.... tricky... sorry claigs style is rubbing off on me.

Kaija · 21/12/2016 16:37

Gordon Bennett misswatch, I thought you were all about the thick skins. Where was the harassment?

BertrandRussell · 21/12/2016 16:38

"Harrassment!"Grin

The alt- right really are fragile, aren't they?

Missswatch · 21/12/2016 16:38

We are. Because you can harass and bully it doesn't mean you should

Kaija · 21/12/2016 16:39

Astonishingly fragile. Brittle even.

It's quite a weird thing.

BertrandRussell · 21/12/2016 16:39

Because you can ignore legitimate questions doesn't mean you should. If you make personal remarks about people you should expect to be called on it.

SouthallGirl · 21/12/2016 16:40

you don't get the"green ink"reference

You mean the communication was over-excitable for Salmond? He's not used to that sort of communication, I know.

claig · 21/12/2016 16:42

'But, you can easily find it if you really want to know. Like I said, it's not a secret. '

I am not going to search archives about you to try and find out, I am not interested in wasting time. If you don't want to tell me, no problem. I a only interested because you spend a lot of times on my threads and it would help me understand where you are coming from better if I knew. But communication may not be a big feature on some of teh thread anyway, so no problem, if you don't want to tell me.

ontop, not "freedom from", "freedom to"

That is what Trump represents

Trump speaks in metaphors, you draw your hope and image from his disjointed metaphors. Trump's metaphors spell hope, success, and freedom.

Trump always says something like

"the book of the future is yet unknown, the pages have not yet been written, but what is clear is that the pages will be written by you"

and unlike with Blair, this time it is true

That's copyright, Rousette, watch it, you're stepping on my pitch

So freedom to what?

Lweji · 21/12/2016 16:48

No this one was from the right - Bertrand was reported for asking questions

It was harassment

IIRC, Bertrand asked questions about a discussion topic.

I'm being asked repeatedly about my country of origin. Even though I didn't mention it, and it's apparently to make a point either my lack of understanding or having eons ago suggested that claig could be a Putin paid troll.

I call that hypocrisy.

And I did my best to keep to a political and issues discussion. Until I was asked about where I'm from. Just saying. I suppose it was a convenient digression, wasn't it?

Lweji · 21/12/2016 16:48

I am not going to search archives about you to try and find out,
I've done a very quick search myself and it's really not difficult.

You want to know, you find out.

Ontopofthesunset · 21/12/2016 16:49

Bertrand's question, though repeated, was very polite and not personally insulting at all. It was an easy question to answer to. Either "I don't know" or "I was wrong" or a specific example of what she couldn't say.

Missswatch · 21/12/2016 16:50

Nope. You are playing a childish guessing game. I think Claig is past caring

In other news. Final tally is in

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4055182/Final-tally-shows-Trump-lost-popular-vote-2-8-million-BEAT-Clinton-3-million-votes-outside-California-New-York.html

claig · 21/12/2016 16:50

'So freedom to what?'

Freedom to dream, to aspire, to succeed, to say what has not yet been said, to write what has not yet been written, but as Trump says, will be written by you and not by them, the Blairites and their bosses, Big Brother, freedom to discover, to laugh at Sir Bob and all the elite's servants, to defy them over Brexit, to stick two fingers up to their Punishment Budgets, to call them liars and say they spin, to be free of them and to elect Trump and bring back common sense, freedom to say the emperor has no clothes

fourmummy · 21/12/2016 16:50

Is someone complaining about Trump's sense of humour? He's cracked me up many a time during his campaign. DH and I used to settle down to watch his speeches for the laughs. He's pure comedy gold:

“We will offer you 5 cents on the dollar for the fireworks. They never responded"

Hillary's cancelled fireworks ^^ Grin

claig · 21/12/2016 16:52

'You want to know, you find out.'

No, it is enough I guessed you weren't English, that has helped me understand you better. I won't spend time on looking if you don't want to tell me.

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 21/12/2016 16:53

No. in English, "green ink" implies that the writer is not quite sane.

Happy to help.

claig · 21/12/2016 16:53

'“We will offer you 5 cents on the dollar for the fireworks. They never responded"'

Yes that was great. Trump is always looking for an opportunity to make some money and do a deal Grin

OP posts:
Ontopofthesunset · 21/12/2016 16:56

So which of those freedoms were being denied you before and how? You could have done all of them and did. You were able to laugh at Blair. You were able to dream and aspire. You were able to write anything you wanted - and frequently did, and still do.

Your emperor clearly has no clothes. Tell me more about this common sense. It seems a little blinkered. It clearly isn't any kind of sense to believe that a multiply bankrupt man who inherited millions is the saviour of the poor. Maybe you are confusing 'common sense' with the lesser known virtue of 'elite sense' which is what old Donny demonstrates.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 21/12/2016 16:58

Oh, right. Hey, everyone, is calling me Brussels funny? Just checking whether I have a sense of humour or not.........

Nope, its not funny

So bertrand was reported for harassment? Is that right miss? Or is it just an educated guess

Kaija · 21/12/2016 16:58

Well this is the question isn't it. What do the anti-PC Trumpers want to get off their chests once political correctness is dead and buried.

Missswatch · 21/12/2016 16:58

Post-election hate crime turns out to be hoaxes? Interesting...
