Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

Well one thing about Trump, that he plays on, is that people assume he's stupid.

From what I know of him I have a sneaky suspicion that he's planning on over delivering. He's not interested in second place, not interested in maybe being rated as a decent president. In his mind he'll be figuring out how to be the best President ever.

He'll want the Presidency forever to be associated with the Trump name. Don't forget he was a democrat, as soon as he gets into office he'll be trying to make deals with them.

herethereandeverywhere · 10/11/2016 14:15

claig thanks for supplying some extra words but I genuinely (really genuinely) don't understand what the 'power structure' is. I certainly don't understand, therefore, how it can be 'crooked' or 'rigged' and what is needed to make sure it is 'smashed'.

Is it career politicians? Wealthy ones? lobbyists? In what was has it been rigged? It all sounds very tinfoil-hat unless you can put some facts and evidence around what you are describing. I can see Trump told the disaffected and disenfranchised what they wanted to hear; as did Farage in the UK. Beyond that I see very little difference between someone who lines their own pockets for 50 years by not properly paying suppliers or tax and career politicians who make it big through public life. Equally morally dubious.

BoredofBrexit · 10/11/2016 14:20

One possible difference here might be that if there were any, Trumps actions related to his own business, were overt, and affected only those directly involved with him, who could have made alternative choices. The actions of the others, on the other hand, are covert and global in nature.

herethereandeverywhere · 10/11/2016 14:27

Can the IRS make alternative choices? Once you've entered a contract in good faith and subsequently go unpaid can you then make an alternative choice?

Claig has also ducked commenting on any reference to those Trump threatened with violence, lied about or whose human rights he threatened to curtail. I really don't see how this guy can been seen as a bastion for good and morally virtuous. The evidence I saw and heard from Trump throughout the campaign says otherwise.

Spinflight · 10/11/2016 14:37

Demonstrably rigged since the wikileaks exposes.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it was in much doubt in most people's minds that Wall street had influence but actually choosing Obama's cabinet? Jeez...

So how do they rig it?

www.wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/55311

" I know how the game is played and I know
how the fix was in, because I helped fix games under some of the best such as Tip
and Jim Wright."

Well the Democrats have something called super delegates. Win a state caucus and you take their delegates with you to the convention and they vote for you. All that is except the superdelegates ( about 20% of the total) who 'choose' themselves. So they just had to rig the super delegates.

Even so he did too well and was still threatening to beat her so they 'leveraged' him.

As for the election itself they first instruct the media to pied piper the Republican candidates. Force them into extreme positions as explained here..

t.co/DAmWNq9K0f

In other words they have to box themselves into an extreme position merely to get the nomination. Then the media really flexes it's muscles.

Leaking debate questions to the Democrats, supposedly neutral journalists acting like Democrat employees and actually asking for orders from them never mind being given them. Other than Fox, which was very lukewarm on Trump, the Democrats basically own the entire shebang. They talk with one voice to reinforce whatever line the Democrats want.

Then of course there's money. What with the shananigans over South Par and the banks having only to give a teensy weensy fraction of the money they were given in bailouts the Democrats budget was practically unlimited. Saudi Arabia is reckoned to have donated $400m alone, as it did for Obama though Qatar of course can barely find enough politicians to buy. Prices have gone up as a lot of their bought and paid fors have a remarkably short career.

So, I suppose I could just have answered everything is rigged but suspected you wanted details.

claig · 10/11/2016 14:38

'I genuinely (really genuinely) don't understand what the 'power structure' is. I certainly don't understand, therefore, how it can be 'crooked' or 'rigged' and what is needed to make sure it is 'smashed'.'

Trump is going to smash it, not you. He understands it and so do the people who voted for him. Read the article I linked to by Justin Raimondo of antiwar.com, that explains the power structure and explains what Trump has done by defeating it in what is a revolution.

'It all sounds very tinfoil-hat unless you can put some facts and evidence around what you are describing'

Read the article and you will learn that it is not "tinfoil hat" and you will understand what the Trump Revolution is all about and why it is the biggest revolution ever in the entire history of the United States as many commentators have said.

OP posts:
claig · 10/11/2016 14:40

Apart from the American Revolution of course.

OP posts:
Spinflight · 10/11/2016 14:52

And the next one of course..

This isn't tin foil hat territory any more herethere, google wikileaks podesta emails or DNC emails, not to mention Clinton's own

Read the reddit threads where people scurried to read through the emails and fancy juicy bits to get the important one's out to a wide audience before the election, it's all laid bare and in their own words from the key players.

Missswatch · 10/11/2016 19:24

Claig? What do you make of the protests? Am I buying into conspiracy theories if I believe George Soros is funding these protests to delay the inevitable? Or for them to turn into full blown riots so Obama can declare national emergency? Don't want to believe myself but...

claig · 10/11/2016 19:32

That is what a lot of people are suggesting. That the elite might try it. On the other hand they are also scared of him when he gets in because if they do try it, he will come after them.

I think they will call it off because they will be too scared to try it. So I think it will end soon.

Sweet bejaysus...

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/10/nigel-farage-describes-barack-obama-as-a-loathsome-creature/

Rather than winding them up I feel more like apologising to them.

claig · 10/11/2016 20:28

Farage does like to tell it as he thinks it is

"Mr. Farage is no stranger to telling it the way he sees it. He told the Sunday Times that Mr. Osborne – who threatened Britons with higher taxes, recessions, and more if they voted to Leave the European Union – is a “departing weasel”.

“I’d have dragged him out by the scruff of the neck. I thought his behaviour was despicable,” said the outgoing UKIP leader, before adding: “Pasty-faced bastard. I’m pleased to see the back of him. I hope he never ever appears in public again.”

But he held back from saying similar of former Prime Minister David Cameron."

www.breitbart.com/london/2016/08/14/farage-tears-osborne-pasty-faced-bstard-id-dragged-weasel-neck/

Thank God Farage was sober when he said that about Osborne, otherwise I dread to think what his opinion of Cameron was.

So... He wants to be a diplomat?

There's no excuse of saying it as it is here claig. That's shocking bad manners, and the timing..... Poor judgement all round.

Even previously saying he wanted to be their EU ambassador is just an artless pisstake. Can't say I find it funny.

claig · 10/11/2016 20:38

'That's shocking bad manners'

I agree. He should remain polite.

The description 'the elite' is driving me a bit potty - who ARE these people? Are they an organised group or a description of a social class? What makes someone in 'the elite'? Do they all know each other or are they it by default. Why isn't billionaire Trump or City trader turned career politician Farage in 'the elite'? Do you have to be a politician?

Assuming that the Clinton scandals that claig cites are true - how; morally, logically, reasonably, practically (any of the above) can you deal with/cure that problem by:-
a) curtailing the rights of gay people
b) curtailing women's pro-choice rights
c) building an enormous wall along the Mexican border
d) installing CCTV on all mosques and banning all Muslims from the USA e) pissing off China (have you SEEN the size of their army? And their population? Makes the USA look like Bora Bora)
f) cutting taxes for the rich (query how many of them will be elite?)
g) scrapping commitments to deal with climate change.

How and why will that help?

herethereandeverywhere · 10/11/2016 20:51

"I agree. He should remain polite". Just like that bastion of politeness Donald Trump. Confused

claig · 10/11/2016 21:01

'Do you have to be a politician?'

Absolutely not. They are puppets as The Donald always says.

They are separate issues. the Clinton scandals will be cleaned up by investigating them, locking people up and following all the charidee threads to all the donors and investigating what they got out of it etc. It is a huge separate issue to the other points.

OP posts:
claig · 10/11/2016 21:08

'"I agree. He should remain polite". Just like that bastion of politeness Donald Trump'

Donald Trump is the President of the United States, he can do whatever the hell he likes, Farage is just a naughty boy and he shouldn't be insulting an outgoing President of the United States, just as Boris shouldn't have either, although some people say they understand why Farage said what he said about Osborne.

OP posts:

'The description 'the elite' is driving me a bit potty - who ARE these people?'

This thread is not the time and place to go into such a huge, profound subject. People write PhD theses and encylcopaedias on that subject. I am thinking of releasing a weighty tome on the subject, myself.

But for a good short introduction to the subject of the elites and what the hell and who the hell they are, you can't beat the comedian Bill Hicks.

The difference with Trump is, instead of the 12 taking him into a room, he took them into a room. He is a biznessman and he is the bizness, he's Donald J Trump.

Before watching Bill Hicks on the elite, first watch what all world bleeders in Berlin, Paris, Rio and Toronto have been watching in panic when "Donald Trump The Thumper" took over at Wrestlemania. Why do you think the entire world elite is terrified by Trump?

and this is Bill Hicks on the elite and you can imagine what Trump did to them and is going to do to them

OP posts:
herethereandeverywhere · 10/11/2016 21:40

"Donald Trump is the President of the United States, he can do whatever the hell he likes"

Err, I think you might be confusing the definition of President with the definition of a dictator.

herethereandeverywhere · 10/11/2016 21:44

I'm sorry Claig I find your attempts at an introduction to who 'the elite' allegedly are quite bizarre; a Wrestlemania clip and a dead comedian's stand up routine? Is this all a big joke and I've been taking you too seriously? I'm actually trying to understand your point.

claig · 10/11/2016 21:48

'Is this all a big joke and I've been taking you too seriously?'

That is about the long and the short of it. No one knows exactly who the elite are and lives to tell the tale. Bill Hicks got as close to it as is humanly possible.

Did you read Justin Raimondo, that is a good appetizer to the subject.
