Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

Is it Newsweek who published a front page with 'Madam President' on it?'

Yes. They will have to pulp those.

Morning, Southallgirl, he won it Smile

"How did the pollsters get it so wrong? "

Becoming a bit of a habit, isn't it? I guess those 'experts' aren't so expert after all Grin

Roussette · 09/11/2016 08:01

Well..... you can dance triumphantly round me claig. He did it. Bitterly disappointed here, so close.

I can but hope that my post of Monday 2145 is what will happen.

Well done to you claig for seeing what will happen.

AgainPlease · 09/11/2016 08:01

Holy effing shit. I've just made loads of money!

claig · 09/11/2016 08:06

The Sky News anchor was still going on about Brexit being a protest vote "in some way"(as if people didnt realise that Brexit would be permanent).

claig · 09/11/2016 08:08

BBC saying "it is the most astonishing victory in the US's 240 year history"

The entire world now realises that the system is staffed by servants and liars, well-paid and highly educated spinners
Of course it is, why would anyone think any different?
I'm still Shocked that the USA has an oaf at the helm, who really steers the ship though?
Spinners will continue to spin, the masses have to be apesed and kept compliant

Well done Claig 'the oracle'

claig · 09/11/2016 08:10

'as if people didnt realise that Brexit would be permanent).'

Absolutely, with Trump in power, Brexit is permanent. All the useless servants will have to start serving the people instead of the elites who have had the rug pulled out from under them.

I bet 100 on DT and just saw that I have 750!!

Southallgirl · 09/11/2016 08:12

Maine was a divided result. But what about Michigan, which is historically Democrat?

claig · 09/11/2016 08:13

Thanks, Shiningexample. It will be great, it will be yuuge. Trump is not the man that teh lying media elites and the corrupt elites pretended he was. Everything is going to be great for America and for us here too.

The liars and cheats and spinners have been shown up for what they always were. The people are now free.

Imo changes in technology have more influence when it comes to democratization and sharing out all the good stuff more evenly
The technium pulls the people along with it

Southallgirl · 09/11/2016 08:17

This result absolutely personifies how short-sighted and unimaginative those who make their careers in political journalism are. It's an appalling level of professionalism.

30 yrs ago I remember when a new car brand was going to be announced, and all the motoring sport journos were stating what they thought the name of the new model would be. ALL of them said it would be a 'take' or an amalgam of a current model. I stated, and I was a wee lass, that it would be NOTHING like that, it would be a completely new name. And it was.

There's something about being so immersed in a profession that causes a drop in imagination.

Spinflight · 09/11/2016 08:19

Michigan hasn't declared yet though I can't personally see how it's possible for Clinton to win, barely mathematically.

claig · 09/11/2016 08:20

'This result absolutely personifies how short-sighted and unimaginative those who make their careers in political journalism are'

There are very few independent thinkers among them. They all follow the line, all chums together, Establishment groupthink.

fourmummy · 09/11/2016 08:24

the elites will just up their game

Yes, there will always be elites. Whether they are trougher elites or sensible elites is the crucial point.

Chris1234567890 · 09/11/2016 08:25

Well done Claig. An absolutely fantastic result. For us, and for western democracy. For absolutely every reason you have been politely, consistantly, been pointing out. Well done Claig.

claig · 09/11/2016 08:26

'Whether they are trougher elites or sensible elites is the crucial point.'

Yes. We don't want plonkers running us, we have had too many of those. Fianlly we are likely to get some good ones for a change.

"An absolutely fantastic result. For us, and for western democracy."

Absolutely, the dark clouds of the crooks who stifled our free speech and freedoms and accused anyone who supports Trump of being a fascist are over.

The whole world can breathe easily again and Russia and America can get on well and we can finally see the end of the Islamic Jihadis and all those who supported and financed them.
