Thing is Claig, they lied to themselves too. They believed their own bullshit, they passed up a candidate who would have won in Bernie Sanders for their own corrupt and rigged system.

Sanders would have wiped the floor with Trump but he couldn't be allowed to win.

They rigged the polls and then kinda forgot how they'd rigged them. They rigged the media not realising that Trump on the ropes and fighting was exactly the image he wanted.

They made fun of him and inch by inch made fun of anyone who sympathised, admired or supported him.

It might sound odd to say that Trump only spent $66m but Hillary spent over $2 billion. She'd arrange rallies with Bruce Springsteen and J - whatever and get a decent crowd.

I don't think so. African-Americans would have voted for Trump en masse.
