Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

Incidentally, a while ago I asked for something to read or listen to from the thoughtful intelligent Trump supporters. Has anyone got anything?

And if any woman votes for Trump because Clinton "does a disservice to women everywhere" then I hope she is prepared to accept responsibility for the overturning of Roe v Wade............

flowersandsunshine · 08/11/2016 10:34

I have yet to hear any positive reasons for voting for Trump.

But there are a hell of a lot of negative reasons why one shouldn't vote for him. Like voting for mad fascists doesn't usually end up well. Hmm

flowersandsunshine · 08/11/2016 10:36

Personally, I'd rather have had Bernie than Hillary.

But given the choice of who is on the ballot paper, you'd have to be insane, ignorant or a right-wing nutjob not to vote for Hillary.

claig · 08/11/2016 10:36

Alas, the Stump for Trump Sisters are too busy in the last few days to upload new videos for Trump fans. They are working their butts off all over the United States for the people, in demand everywhere.

We are going to miss them. They are the superstars of this election. You can stick your Jay-Z, it's the Stump for Trump Sisters for me.

Hopefully, Trump will start Trump TV which will thrash the phoney Establishment conservatives at Fox and Diamond and Silk can become global megastars.

Here is a clip of them campaigning near the end of the whole thing.

Sorry, claig, you must have misunderstood me. I said "thoughtful and intelligent"......

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 10:39

can we all agree that the world owes one man a debt of honour? That this man is holed in a 2 rooms of the Ecuadorean embassy without access to sunlight or communications, and more importantly that he hasn't seen his children in 4 years to me dwarfs all other injustices given his service.

Take a bow, Mr Assange, the world owes you a pint.

Assange is "holed up" in the embassy entirely through his own choice. Is anyone else wondering why all his information on Clinton is only coming out days before the election? Surely if it was that important an honourable man would have released it months ago to allow it to be thoroughly investigated.

Southallgirl · 08/11/2016 10:40

Serendipity - Before women in this country got the vote, the men had to fight for voting rights (for themselves) from the "barons". First thing's first. If the reason that Trump gives for running for president is truthful, then that it is to lauded and applauded. Whatever flaws he has in his character does not negate that he wants to cut thru all the layer upon layer of corruption in DC.

Pick any well-known person you like (let's say Mick Jagger). Poor behaviour and attitude to women, loads of infidelity; recent girlfriend is pregnant with his child but already he has a new girlfriend. But he's good at his job.

My job caused me to be around very wealthy men, some old money, some newly-minted. There are women in this world who deliberately flock to where wealthy men are to be found socially because they want to get with them.

The way things are going, soon there will be no America so your shouting about women's rights will be academic. What you do not seem to appreciate is that the deal is to make USA another EU, which Trump is resisting. The long game is to increase the size of the EU by allowing Ukraine in (right next to Russia). USA will be allowed more military bases and weapons on EU soil, and will have a business presence from TTIP.

Things are not as they seem. From Clinton's point of view, this is her last stab at the presidency because she's now 68. From Trump's this is America's last chance to spring clean out the slime, to reinstate some order - which is to serve the people and the country, not the politicians.

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 10:44

Gotta love the use of language that frames grabbing women's private parts as "over-familiarity".

It's also a fairly major misuse of language to claim that a woman who is less than supportive to her husband's OW is thereby doing a disservice to women everywhere.

claig · 08/11/2016 10:46

'you must have misunderstood me. I said "thoughtful and intelligent"......' Grin

We love them. They are the best laugh ever and they are fighters.

Whenever Hillary's campaign hear that Diamond and Silk have uploaded a new video broadcast that bypasses the mainstream media control, they panic as they know that Diamond and Silk reach millions.

I expect Wikileaks will soon be publishing leaks about how Podesta, Soros, Hillary, the DNC and all the rest of them held crisis meetings everytime the Stump for Trump Sisters hammered them with a newly uploaded video broadcast.

OP posts:
Southallgirl · 08/11/2016 10:50

There absolutely is a lot of panic from Hilllary's supporters but also from some Republicans who are living the good life on their Congress or Senate salaries & expenses, doing little for it and who really do not want a shake-up in their cosy lives.

Before Brexit, there were paid posters on here who posted for hours and hours against Brexit. They could not see past their own interests in remaining, and tried to trash those who spoke about independence, sovereignty, making one's own trading deals with whoever we want to. Freedom!

Many anti-Brexit were self-serving because they may have been in receipt of EU money for example, but I think most were so brainwashed and inculcated into this cult that is EU that they genuinely have little critical thinking.

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 10:52

If the reason that Trump gives for running for president is truthful

That's your first problem right there, Southallgirl. Trump is a habitual liar. Frankly, I'd double check if he told me that the sun rises in the East.

What on earth is the relevance of Mick Jagger? Since when was he running for an office which would put him in a position of power in relation to women's rights or anything else? Or are you seriously trying to tell us that the abuse of women by men like Trump doesn't matter because some women allegedly are attracted to wealthy men? Would you care to explain that to the woman who can't get a termination even though another pregnancy will destroy her health or her family?

If you are telling us that women's rights are unimportant because of your USA/EU paranoia, and that as a result you support Trump the Putin worshipper, you really have no idea.

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 10:53

I expect Wikileaks will soon be publishing leaks about how Podesta, Soros, Hillary, the DNC and all the rest of them held crisis meetings everytime the Stump for Trump Sisters hammered them with a newly uploaded video broadcast.

No you don't, Claig. Don't lie.

Southallgirl · 08/11/2016 11:07

it will become very apparent very quickly to those that voted for him that they voted for someone without a plan. The honeymoon will be very short when reality hits

If this happens, then so be it but Trump needs to be given the chance. The politicians HATE him of course, because he is not one of them. However much some of them hate each other, they will cling together like leeches in opposition to an Outsider. It's not about Trump per se, it's about him not being part of the club. For example, cops on the take will always exclude a newcomer who is not bent.

fourmummy · 08/11/2016 11:10

The odds have just moved against Hillary. Something's come in.

Southallgirl · 08/11/2016 11:14

Serendipity - Jagger is irrelevant to the election, but I mentioned him because he is flawed. The situations that Jagger women find themselves in are entirely of their own making.

You're getting on hysteria bangwagon again. Terminations will not be denied, it wont happen. Trump did mention though how unsavoury he finds third trimester terminations for non-medical reasons, i.e. at 7 months.

I have no USA-EU paranoia and just wish that you would read more widely. TTIP is not a figment of my imagination, nor is the EU's offer 2 yrs ago to invite Ukraine into the EU, which they quickly withdrew.

fourmummy · 08/11/2016 11:15

It's going to be a long day and night. Not sure my nails can take it.

flowersandsunshine · 08/11/2016 11:15

What wacky site is that on, fourmummy?

Does Breitbart have something vital and entirely impartial to share with the voting public on election day? Grin

Roussette · 08/11/2016 11:24

I've searched and can't find anything hey ho

fourmummy · 08/11/2016 11:40

I'm watching the live screens that my money's on. The prices change as info (all types of info) comes in. You often get an indication of something when the prices change. Things haven't moved since yesterday but this was quite a big move (settled a bit now). Could be a reaction to polls opening.

Or his missus:

""Hillary says that you have to have a campaign that appeals to the struggling, the striving and the successful," Mr Clinton said. "We have to do this together. And Bernie says just go get the money from the millionaires"

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 13:55

it will become very apparent very quickly to those that voted for him that they voted for someone without a plan. The honeymoon will be very short when reality hits

If this happens, then so be it but Trump needs to be given the chance.

Southall, why does he need to be given a chance? This isn't a game where we give someone their turn and if they mess it up, never mind, nothing hangs on it. Trump being "given a chance" has the potential for disaster.

I'm still mystified why you're banging on about Jagger. Are you suggesting that the only people to blame when Trump assaults women are the women themselves?

As for the abortion issue, Trump has specifically said that he will appoint judges who will overturn Roe v Wade. But really that is only one aspect of the adverse effects of his innate misogyny. Would you trust a man with those attitudes with employment protection rights, equal rights in terms of marital assets and children, maternity rights etc?

As for your wish that I would "read more widely", for goodness sake stop being so patronising. You have no idea how widely I have read; in fact on the evidence of your posts it is very clear that my reading is considerably wider than yours.

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 14:56

More Trump lies:

Trump’s final ad passes off footage of migrants in Hungary as scene from U.S.

"Donald Trump’s advertising campaign is ending as it started, with footage of migrants in Europe, lifted from the internet and passed off as video of immigrants streaming across the border from Mexico into the United States.

If the footage was used in error, it would be an odd slip, since the Trump campaign was ridiculed for doing the exact same thing in their first ad, at the start of the year. In that commercial, released in January, as a narrator promised that Trump would “stop illegal immigration by building a wall on our southern border that Mexico will pay for,” images flashed on the screen of migrants surging across a border fence. That video, however, was recorded in a Spanish enclave on the Moroccan coast, Melilla, in 2014.

It seems possible, however, that the ad is intentionally misleading, and hopes to conflate the situation in the U.S. with the huge number of migrants seeking refuge in Europe from wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. In the closing stages of the United Kingdom’s Brexit referendum in June, fear of immigrants was stoked by the nationalist politician Nigel Farage, a Trump ally, using billboards showing those same migrants and refugees entering Eastern Europe."
