But more seriously: can I google seventh floor without a knock on the door

claig · 28/10/2016 22:27

'Putting Brexit in the same league as the Feb rev is Russia is laughable.'

I agree, Brexit dwarfed it. Cameron was out the door, humming, faster than
you could say Jack Robinson.

Goodnight, BitofaCow

claig · 28/10/2016 22:31

'I think you are the soup dragon'

I have been called that sometimes when I dish out a soup.

'can I google seventh floor without a knock on the door'

No problem. The Guardian have been doing little else since it first came out and have found nothing but a 1970s disco band.

WinchesterWoman · 28/10/2016 22:31

Wow. It's a big deal.

claig · 28/10/2016 22:33

On BBC news now. BBC gutted. Media in turmoil. Trump fans elated.

WinchesterWoman · 28/10/2016 22:37

Seventh floor stuff is ten days old. Media is pathetic. Yes the BBC will be depressed. Are they leading on it yetHmm

So what's gone on. Any more theories? How about that the 7th floor is orchestrating this, have abandoned hc and now think they can flip Trump?

claig · 28/10/2016 22:43

'Are they leading on it yet'

Yes it is on Newsnight. They are gutted, shellshocked. They are struggling to comprehend it. It is dawning on them that Trump might get in. The markets fell, markets and media and elites all spooked. Trump rally going nuts.

fourmummy · 28/10/2016 22:47

Been googling but still can't see any decent explanation for the timing. Was a shock to Hillary, so she didn't know - apparently.

fourmummy · 28/10/2016 23:03

Actually, the most credible thing seems to be that it's something of such magnitude that they had to say something now rather than wait until afterwards, which would be an even worse disaster. I can't wait to find out what it is.

claig · 28/10/2016 23:03

Fox saying that it is to do with emails sent to and by Huma Abedin

claig · 28/10/2016 23:11

Apparently it was an investigation into Anthony Weiner's sexting of an underage girl. He is Huma Abedin's husband and they looked at four devices, one of which is Huma Abedin's.

Lweji · 28/10/2016 23:26

At this rate they'll have to repeat the whole process again.
Shock

fourmummy · 28/10/2016 23:43

...which could be the reason for the timing Shock

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 28/10/2016 23:47

Oh good

Thank you claig

Lweji · 29/10/2016 02:57

fourmummy
Both could be the targets.
Trump risks being impeached before starting any term, thanks to the sexual assault claims and the lawsuit he already faces before the end of the year. People, particularly Trump's fans seem to forget that.
Hillary is not very liked by the system, in fact. The right are facing losing Congress and Senate, so really wish her out of the race, but they have Trump as alternative.
I really wouldn't look at Obama, but rather to the right, if any game is at play.

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 07:01

Fourmummu: that makes complete sense: render the election unrecoverable as a process. But they don't understand that people will already be predicting that and some have done for a while? They would sacrifice US civic order?

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 07:02

:just saw Clinton statement

She is seething

Roussette · 29/10/2016 08:01

Maybe DT will stop the stupid claims he's been banging on about saying that the FBI are in collusion with HC, it rather puts that particular nuts theory to bed doesn't it?

From what I've read HC seems none to worried about all of this and wants a full explanation asap. As anyone would who is a matter of 11 days from election.

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 09:00

Claig, four mummy and pipes: while that video is lots of fun, do you think it would now be better for trump not to gloat and to appear more presidential and measured.

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 09:13

Also they are catching multiple voter fraud by election and campaign officials , three more cases reported. I don't know whether to worry about the fraud or be pleased it's getting spotted.

claig · 29/10/2016 09:13

No because Trump's whole appeal is that he is ass kicker in chief of the elites, no more "career politician" business as usual. His base loves it and independents want action and the corruption cleaned up. It is only the elites who are worried.

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 09:15

So the impact on voters? I reckon some undecideds who veer towards Clinton will stay at home but not many will cross over to trump.

WinchesterWoman · 29/10/2016 09:16

This latest thing makes her look more like a puppet than a Machiavelli. I just can't work it out.

claig · 29/10/2016 09:24

Trump said she is a puppet. She doesn't control the globalists. Her dream of "open borders" is what they want.

It may not affect things much. She has said that the email stuff is already factored in. However, it will likely turn some independents off her by reminding them of it all. There is also the National Enquirer stuff to come on Thursday, I think.

fourmummy · 29/10/2016 09:30

I read this late last night before bed and woke up still thinking about it so thought I'd re-post here. It sums up what is at stake and why, for once in my life, I don't much care if Trump felt Miss Iceland's bottom or used bad language. It's from a Guardian poster:

"Clinton knew all the time that Saudi are sponsors of Al-Queda, ISIS and who knows how many terrorists. Clinton also wants war with Russia to protect jihaddists. They tell you that people trapped in Eastern Aleppo are rebels? That they're victims? That they wanted freedom? Well, this is how their "freedom" looked like back in 2013.
"Aleppo is nothing but hunger and Islam. Dozens of threadbare children, disfigured by leishmaniasis, walk barefoot in the steps of mothers, covered in black from head to toe – all bowl in hand, seeking a mosque for bread, their skin yellowed by typhus. In the narrowest alleys, to dodge mortar fire, boys are on the right with their toy Kalashnikovs, while the left is for girls, already veiled. Jihadi fathers push with their beards, djellabas and suicide belts. In July, Mohammad Kattaa was executed for misusing the name of the prophet. He was 15."
Quote is from an article written here in the Guardian. Yes, they're victims indeed. But not of government. Of terrorists who're using them as human shields just like their ISIS bretheren are using then in Mosul now. Of terrorists who're shelling both humanitarian corridors and Western Aleppo where most of population lives under protections of government. Oh, perhaps you did't know that main "rebel" force in Aleppo is Al-Nusra, former branch of ISIS and branch of Al-Queda? You know it now. And yes, people of Aleppo (Western, like ~ 2 millions of people) deserves to be free from threat of terrorists. And people of Aleppo (Eastern, like ~ 200,000 of people) deserves to be free from threat of terrorists and being human shields. For that to happen, the government need to beat terrorists out of Aleppo. So if you vote for Clinton with her "non-fly-zone" ideas then you vote for World War and for what? To protect barbarians who'd chop your head for misusing a name? You also vote for plans of Saudi, main sponsors of terrorism and perpetrators of hideous war crimes in Yemen".
