Just spent a lovely day with NQGU and Father Peter. Got back about 15 mins ago. She says to say "hi" to everyone, she can't because her PC is broken at home.

Hi there ladies! I'm back!! (Jetlagged to the nth degree, but fine!)

The news is ... we're not going! It's just too dangerous a situation to put our kids into. We had a fabulous week, the place really resonated with us, but it just isn't a situation for a young family from middle-class Britain! The gunfire at night pretty much summed that up for me.

Not sure where we go from here - we still want to work in Latin America. But no idea where, with who, doing what .... so please pray as we consider the next step.

I'm doing ok, feel really bad about poor Shell though - we fell out before the weekend, my fault for being crap at keeping in contact with her, and now this has happened to her.

Am feeling tired, had a busy day. Read the lesson at a funeral today, but was asked to act as crucifer (cross-carrier), which is usually carried out by a strapping 16yo boy - I'd never done it before, and managed to survive without tripping up, but my arms ache. I also had to write the lead article for the village newsletter!

Hi not been around for a while again but just wanted to say at this present time things are good. Please pray that for me a corner has been turned and that the ugliness of depression which I believe is all related to the last few years of living hell is behind me. Pray that i learn to manage the stress that will no doubt come my way again soon.

The girls and I are off to Turkey for a week tomorrow, I need the break if I can get organised.
