Hi everyone,
Yashmis I'm so pleased your figurine is on her way, or may even have arrived by now. Looking forward to seeing her when she's settled in Halloween Smile

There's a lot going on above us this month, at 12.35 today we were at aphelion - furthest from the sun all year.

There's a Penumbral Lunar eclipse at 0531 (early Sunday morning so is classed as the 5th)
5th, The full Moon is between Jupiter and Saturn
6th, the Moon is conjunct with Saturn all night

The Capricornids meteor showers are visible throughout July, at their peak on the 7th and 8th, then again 26th and 27th, look southeast after midnight.

I agree with Speakout's forecast, mine's paraphrased from my Moon Diary, the changes needed in establishments are going to be glaringly obvious, comfort zones for some are going to have to be left behind, letting go is the order of the day, whilst realising the calming connections of friends and family.
Sounds magical to me!

Ogress · 04/07/2020 19:44

Hello all. I've enjoyed reading the recent posts, especially people's examples of micromagic scattered into their day to day lives. Personally, however, I don't do any magic at all. My path at this time is just trying to fit into the world and land as gently as possible, doing good where I can, and avoiding harm where I can. Some of those things have developed into little rituals (for example, putting out food for the birds each morning), but that's as far as it goes for me...

I picked up a book in this month's kindle sale that I'm really enjoying: Botanical Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland by Lisa Schneidu. The stories are nicely told, and arranged by the plants they feature into the wheel of the year. It's been a nice book to curl up with in these more overcast days.

Good morning everyone, I have woken refreshed after a sound and dream filled night. My full moon sleep is always the deepest and most restorative of the month. It was cloudy last night and I usually see her, but I had my windows and curtains open and could feel her presence.
Ogress it is good to see you again and hear of your light footsteps on the earth. That book sounds enchanting.

I have a busy day ahead, work again assumes the major part of my day, but I have to press on, it's only a week since I had a few days off. OH is off work today to cook and clear up, then he is gone for a week with business, he was asked to fly to the other end of the country, but he isn't comfortable travelling in a plane because of Covid, so he will drive instead.
So today he will do a big shop and stock the fridge for us for a week.
I rather suspect there will be a couple of takeaways on the menu this week however!!
I will cleanse my house later today too, this morning there is a lot of religious influence, services, prayer, worship and communion on zoom etc, and I like to bring fresh energy after those ceremonies.
I have some full moon water I will use- buck moon water should be perfect. I have some sage and heather too for a quick saining with smoke.
Just savouring every sip of coffee as I listen to a blustery wind outside, not much birdsong this morning, there often isn't on windy days, too busy hunkering down for public displays.
A ylang ylang and citrus shower, then time to hit the yoga mat before starting my day.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Ylang ylang and citrus sounds like a divine combination speakout, I hope it gave you the boost you needed to flow through the busy day ahead. Takeaway was on the menu here last night too, sometimes something’s got to give hasn’t. I was glad of the full moon energy for release and reboot after an intense week.

comfort zones for some are going to have to be left behind, letting go is the order of the day, whilst realising the calming connections of friends and family.

Your summary here sums up beautifully the energy I’ve been experiencing through the full moon!

Good to see you Ogress and I think that book sounds lovely too, thanks for sharing, I’m going to have a look.

Blurpblorp thank you for sharing that picture, so serene and beautiful.

And thank you sisters for sharing my excitement about my new sculpture that is on her way- I can’t wait to meet her!

I’m tired this morning so giving myself time to relax and drink lots of tea, I’ll get on with some of the mundane tasks that have been neglected of late this afternoon, I’m in need of a gentle day.

I like the look of this full moon tarot spread, feels relevant to where I am at. I’ll see what the cards have to show me.

Good morning all. I also slept very deeply last night. Lots of intense dreams, after a strange day of all sorts of emotions coming to the surface.

Like Yahsmis I'm tired this morning so taking it easy this morning. I almost feel hungover, despite being in bed by 10 having had no alcohol whatsoever! I feel lighter though, as if some of the emotion I was feeling yesterday has shifted.

Speakout citrus and ylang ylang sounds like a gorgeous combination, I'm going to use that blend in my diffuser.

Yashmis I'm so glad you bought yourself that sculpture, a reward for all your hard work.

Ogress good to see you, that book does sounds lovely. I'll be adding it to my reading list.

speakout · 06/07/2020 06:47

Welcome to the start of a new weekmy friends.
I know for some it will be more of the same, others may be taking steps into new challenging situations. It often takes courage to move forward, especially if there is change . Feeling in unfamiliar circumstances and in uncertain times calls upon our inner strength and can feel fearful.
I know from a personal perspective the current situation still has a huge impact on my family situation, those close to me are feelng the impact in deep- and some surprising ways.
I know my practice has had to turn inwards to a large extent.
I never have the house to myself so that restricts my magical activities somewhat and leaves my wings feeling a little clipped. I long to loudly stomp around my house rattle my broom, shout incantations and wave thick smoke into the air, but instead I light discreet candles and sprinkle moon water when no one is looking.

I am about to hit the yoga mat before anyone wakens, throw open the windows - my yoga intention this morning is courage.

I will light a candle at 8am this morning to share some courage to anyone who needs it.

Happy Monday Moon sisters.

Such grounding words in uncertain times speakout, thank you, and also for the courage energy which was very gratefully received here.

It’s interesting how we find subtle ways to weave our magic when needs be isn’t it. Like we were saying the other day, there are many ways to do it but I’ll also be glad of the day when I can be undisturbed and make more noise/smoke/of a scene about it!

I hope everyone’s week has got off to a good start and that in amongst it all there are moments of magic

speakout · 06/07/2020 18:59

YashmisCrone yes we find a way!!

After a busy day I have a moment of calm- others are in the house, but occupied in other rooms, watching movies, napping and reading.
It is a sunny but cool evening, the breeze today has had the most amazing refreshing feel to it, so crisp and fresh, not quite a fragrance, but with an energetic quality I haven't felt for a while.
I have my doors open to let the cleansing breeze fill my room.
Dinner is over and I am still working, at a calm slow pace. I save the easy sit down jobs for the evening.
I remember my grandmother doing the same- all the heavy work would be done in the morning, then by evening she would bring out her sewing box to darn clothes or fix buttons. Easy work that she could do at a calm pace in a restful position, feeling tired but still being productive. Sometimes in the winter months the light wouldn't be too great, so she would put her sewing to one side, and would decide it was time for a spot of fire scrying or tea leaf reading instead. My favourite times by far!!

I like to allow my mind to wander back as I work. We could learn a few things from our ancestors!

Made it to the beach. I don't know who was more happy. Me or Elfdog!

BlankTimes · 06/07/2020 22:24

awww, he's lovely Elphame, is he a Lakeland Terrier?
He's a cute character, that shines out of the photo.

speakout · 07/07/2020 06:38

I love your dog too Elphame there is something quite fae about him!

OP posts:
Ogress · 07/07/2020 07:49

Elfdog looks very happy indeed. We are cautiously planning our camping holiday now, so hopefully I'll get myself to the beach too before long. I miss it. I've no idea how I ended up settling so far inland!

I usually miss the 8 o' clocks, but I'll join in today. Hope everyone has a great day.

Elphame · 07/07/2020 10:29

Elfdog says woof for all the compliments. He’s a Welsh terrier (very similar to a Lakie but a bit smaller and stockier and even more independent minded -otherwise know as stubborn!)

Tourists can’t stay overnight yet here in Wales so we have til Saturday to prepare the cottage for opening. It’s getting there. It hasn’t helped that the power is off for essential maintenance at the moment so can’t do some of the work needed. Thank goodness for 4G!

Blurpblorp · 07/07/2020 17:08

Hi everyone,

I hope you've all had a good weekend and start to your week. I feel great lately... it's perhaps the moon, or the fact I'm in week 2 of a 12 week personal development course. I'm working on releasing stale energy that isn't helping anymore so a perfect time in the cycle. I've been sleeping so well too... hormonal perhaps but also finding the magic in the everyday really helps to ground me.

Oh Elfdog! Grin I can imagine him running amok on a beach (splashing in the sea, trying to evade capture...) @Elphame I hope that your cottage Covid plans are coming together steadily and with less stress.

What are 'the 8 o'clocks'?

Elphame · 07/07/2020 17:50

@Blurpblorp - he's scared of the waves! Won't go in unless it's a flat calm Grin

We're almost done - may get a chance to relax a bit then. We did manage a very fae walk this morning in the rain. Some strange things have happened around this burial chamber ( Capel Garmon) (Elfdog photobombed me again!)

Oooh Elfdog's right at home there Halloween Grin www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=5947
It's surprising how many animals and avians appoint themselves Site Guardian at ancient places. I've been shown round so many by dogs and a few cats, the avians seem to be more observers than guides initially.

Blurp the 8's are 8am and 8pm daily, times of connection, when we light a candle and tune into this board's collective energy, we add or take or just be, as we need.

YashmisCrone · 07/07/2020 19:52

Oh Elfdog’s really making me smile- I love his energy, thank you for sharing it here.

Good to hear you’re nearly done Elphame, glad there’ll be a bit of time to relax too.

speakout I loved your reflections on connecting with the ancestors, I too feel closer to them as evening falls.

Good to have you with us for the 8’s Ogress, and I love Blanktimes description of these times. I’ll be drawing strength from our collective energy tonight and sharing gratitude for my sisters.

Blurpblorp it’s a joy to hear that your feeling good, your energy is always a pleasure to have amongst us

Love to all Halloween Smile

I always think it's a lucky thing that I enjoy rain. I just thought I'd pop in and share this chant, which I've been enjoying on this overcast morning:

Born Of Water by Lindie Lila

speakout · 08/07/2020 09:30

Ogress thanks for the link, I am always looking for new music to listen to as I work.

I love rain too, we have a light drizzle here today, soft and cool, everything is so green right now, the peak of summer.

Had a taco Tuesday last night, it was so tasty - Tuco Tacos and Salamanca salsa ( pico de Gallo- Ok I have been watchingBreaking Bad!!) Loads of fresh coriander. limes and chilli. I am slighty obessed by my new pico de gallo recipe at the moment- full of zest!!.

Having another few days with shop closed, again just to catch up, I can't stay open for more than a week or two at the moment as I struggle with the workload.

I have just been watching Molly Roberts on youtube talking about Genius Loci- spirit of place. She is one of my favourite online witches.

Morning lovelies, sorry I've not had much to contribute this week. I've been feeling rather drained and generally a bit low. I've been reading your posts though and enjoying being in your energy, and I'm feeling more normal today which is a relief!

Elphame Elf dog is gorgeous! He looks like a proper character. My dog's the same with the waves! He loves the beach though, and particularly seems to enjoy finding dead crabs to roll in!

Ogress thank you for sharing that chant. I went for a walk this morning in the rain, it felt cool and cleansing, just what I needed.

YashmisCrone · 08/07/2020 11:49

I’m enjoying the rain too, finding it very soothing.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better today Violet, such strange times in terms of circumstances and energetically I’m not surprised we feel the impact. I hope you can go gently today.

speakout It was taco Tuesday here yesterday too! Black beans with homemade guacamole, zinging with lime and chilli, crispy lettuce, sweet cherry tomatoes and lots of coriander to top it off! Love the food synergy!

speakout · 08/07/2020 14:16

VioletCharlotte great to see you- I have been feeling very tired this week too, today I feel a little more energetic however.
YashmisCrone I am smiling as I read about your taco Tuesday- synchronicity indeed! Mexican food is so full of flavour, with a hefty dose of fire energy.
