Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

I wandered from these threads a few months ago.

I hope I can come home.

Thank you for the new thread speakout, I love the energy of us gathering and checking in again.

I love the magic of 11 too, powerful in it’s symbolism in a numerology sense. Fitting for times of great change. Our collective magic will gain some pace here! Halloween Smile

Thank you. I loved what you wrote on the other thread about this current disaster being a resetting.

I found it comforting.

speakout · 16/03/2020 22:39

Pinkarsedfly thank you.

Would it help to post it again on this new thread?

BlankTimes · 16/03/2020 23:05

Just leaping over the broomstick from the former thread to she shiny new one.

My last post was about salt lamps, so as I'm replying to comments about them, I'll post the link again for anyone who hasn't discovered their magic yet.
Bargain alert just seen Lidl have small electric salt lamps for £9.99
either natural lump or ball design.
www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/mother-s-day/livarno-lux-salt-crystal-lamp/p30235

LOL Yashmis fancy supermarket shelves being emptied and these still being available, they must be waiting for the right customers to snap them up.

Violet I agree, one cannot have too many salt lamps, I never tire of looking at them, DD's is nearly 20 years old and is just like new. I never thought of putting any EO on them, does it stain?

MrsSnitchnose welcome, grab a beanbag and some tea, we don't practise a particular religion as such, what we do is more of a way of life. We all follow different paths but have lots of values in common which is what makes this virtual kitchen such a nurturing place to be.

Shrimpy there's plenty you can do to boost your immune system.
VitD3 3,000iu per day in a spray is good, Zinc, VitaminC, Vit B12, Echinacea Tincture or the easiest way to make sure you're getting at least all your nutrients is an all in one Vitamin and Mineral supplement.

Baths in Magnesium flakes are very calming, also try Epsom Salts and Himalayan Salts.

Don't forget good gut bacteria, live yogurt, active miso and active sauerkraut and other fermented foods probably play a much bigger part in general health and wellbeing than we in the West recognise.
If you don't like the idea of them as a food, try starting with half a teaspoon a day and call it medicine.

Speakout I agree, we are going through a type of huge change in our lives that's not happened before globally, but we'll survive and we'll learn and we'll begin to create a better world.
Violet I think your Tower Tarot is very insightful.

Pink good to see you again, grab a beanbag and some tea.

Speakout yes, it's a good idea to repost that here Halloween Smile then anyone who missed it can join in the discussion.

ShrimpyTheGnome · 16/03/2020 23:12

Checking in! I'm reserving a small beanbag by the fire, please. I'm bringing along a bag full of crochet hooks and lots of blue yarn!

Your words were profoundly moving and true. Please repost. I wish everyone on the multiple Coronavirus threads would read it too.

I have somehow allowed myself to get sucked into all the hysteria and fear over the past few days. I needed a reminder that there is a greater purpose and nothing happens without a reason.
I have found this Winter very trying and was longing for better weather and longer days. I feel I can’t face more months of uncertainty and hysteria, cancelled holidays and enforced isolation. It’s all in the way you see it however. I will look for the positives and accept what the experience brings.

speakout · 17/03/2020 05:09

RosesandIris thank you. I am glad you found comfort. Many people, including those on this thread feel this way too. I will re-post.

It is hard to stay calm when storms are blowing all around. But I have hope The world was headed for a path of destruction. The Earth is raising her head and telling us that we are not as powerful as we think- at least those in control, those steering, those with the money. This is the wrong way. This horror is opening our eyes and showing us our reflection. And now flights are grounded, like no climate conference could have done, plastic production at a standstill, like no environmental groups could have done, forcing us to re evaluate our flawed models of economic growth, our hubris and our place on Earth as a just another species. This is a wake up call, a shake up. And when the event is over we will be left in a different place, this will allow space for huge change. A positive change. I have great hope for the future. It will be a rough ride, but it may be a new dawn for us on this planet. Have courage. We all have each other. We have love.

*“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.“

„And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.“

„And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.“

YashmisCrone I agree, 11 is a very fitting number.
This is a time to change gear as we move into a new time and delve deep. We need to push through the fear, saddle up and find our warrior spirit.

Hi everyone. I've been thinking this covid is all nonsense and I've not been worried at all BUT I'm now starting to panic a little, I'm asthmatic and have had pleurisy and pneumonia before, am I at risk????

ShrimpyTheGnome · 17/03/2020 06:46

Tiger sending you positive energy. I'm asthmatic too, which is why I'm being kept a close eye on. Hopefully mine should peak soon, and then f* off!

I can't ease your worry, but I can offer you a handhold. ❣

ShrimpyTheGnome · 17/03/2020 06:48

I'm taking a LOT of comfort in Speakout's quote right now. It's time for change.

I missed a few

Hope all of us and our family’s and loved ones are as well and safe as can be

Who is Kitty O’Meara?

Pinkarsedfly · 17/03/2020 08:25

I’ve sent that Kitty O’Meara quotation to my sisters. I can sense their panic, so hopefully it will comfort them as it does me.

I’m finding hope in growing things. I have seedlings sprouting on my windowsills, and there are narcissi in the garden and the beginnings of blossom on the trees.

Life goes forward.

r0sebuds · 17/03/2020 09:24

Morning all,

Hello to the newcomers and returning membersSmile

speakout Thank you for taking the time to write that. There is such truth and strength in your words.

You express it far better than I have been able to, Kitty O'Meara too, but this is what has been on my mind for some time. I've been calling it the Great Levelling (DH and DCs keep doing the raised eyebrow look at me) as it's bringing everything and everyone down to earth, back to what really matters. After the chaos and uncertainty the Great Resetting is what we need: a new dawn.

I love the idea of it being here on the 1st page of our new thread, like an intention or a candle to ground us and light our way.

A bright and frosty start here. The forecast is for a few days of fine weather and warmer temperatures. Hoping to get out sometime this afternoon to crack on with my gardening projects.

In the meantime I'm about to start my second day of working from home from the dining/living room table. Not ideal but needs must. DH has taken over the home-office corner of our bedroom with his extra monitor and will be on the phone a lot. My two teenage DCs will need my 'guidance' (ahem!) to get down to school work as they still see this lockdown (we're in France) as a holiday, so my peace will have to be inner today because it sure as anything won't be around meWink

I think I will be taking a lot of tea breaks in the lovely witches' kitchen in the coming days. Grin

I don’t know if I belong here just accidentally came across this thread, I have always felt a bit strange hard to explain, have a deep love for trees which I honestly can’t put into words. My family take no notice of my seeming desperation at a vandalised tree etc. I have only ever been able to follow my own path, no matter what, and for reason often can’t explain. Do not have a clue why I’m posting intend to read the other threads. I was drawn to the number 11, as since I adopted my daughter 2 1 /2 years ago her birth date has always intrigued me I have no idea why 11.1.2017 again never planned adopting had 4 of my own, then fostered, so anyone have any suggestions on her birth date and what has bought me here today. Should add I’m a very positive person have no idea why I always have been, and my life has been a little testing at times to say the least. Am currently self isolating due to pneumonia and asthma, plus bad fall down the stairs that has left me in agony due to a herniated disc pressing on my sciatic nerve so been stuck in since November 😤 anyway to anyone out there with bad chest problems at this time, I am sending you love and strength there are lots of us having to be careful with this virus. My older children have phoned and txted as work and live in London and they are worried for me, have spent days reassuring them only for them to say that as of weekend they are all flocking home as they have been told to work from home, so wish me luck as they all descend with girlfriends and germs just in time for my youngest boy to return from uni with his girlfriend 😷 any spells much appreciated 😘

BlankTimes · 17/03/2020 15:23

Hi user1497873278 and welcome, we do seem to be very popular just lately and that's great. Grab a beanbag and help yourself to some tea.

Looks as though you'll need to find yourself some calm and quiet before all the kids turn up, I recommend some camomile tea and a peace meditation.
