First of all we want to give thanks for Peter's new heart and keep praying for Misdee (LadyVictoriaOfCake), the three girls and the extended family. Pray for continuing healing and a full recovery.

In tension with that we pray for Onlyjoking and Steve and their three children, together with Steve's mother and his (twin) brother. Let us commit them in prayer to the God of miracles and of blessing. Pray that they will find help in the most unexpected places and that the 'peace of God which passes all understanding' will fill their heart.

Prayers for CaptainCaveman in a difficult situation with dsis in hospital. Praying for grace to cope from day to day with issues that are longstanding and unresolved. Prayer for restful nights and an deliverance from panic attacks.
Give thanks for an understanding manager at work.

CaptainDippy gives thanks for dh's new job, which is going well so far and for Phoebe sleeping through the night. Prayers to cope with all the stress of having three 'ickle pickles'.

Harrisey - thanks for a holiday that was better than expected. Thanks for a smooth start to school for ds. Prayers for dh, proper adjustment of medication and for an end to H's migraine.

We pray for MaryBS for a wonderful time on holiday also for Mufti. NASWM (Losty) Let's give thanks that she is getting better, although she is nowhere near well. Hoping to be discharged in September. Pray for the necessary help to be found. (Thanks to DumbledoresGirl for the update). If possible post a message on the thread. here
NotSoFarNow Pray for her as she continues to adjust to life without husband. Pray for relationships with her family and for the new beginnings that may be possible. Pray for wisdom in the situation.

PandaG Pray for her and her friends who are moving away leaving a void.

Podglet Pray that the house situation may be resolved very speedily

QueenofQuotes Give thanks with her for an improving relationship with dh. Pray for the older dss that they may find time to have some Christian teaching as well as sport on a Sunday.

Roseylea gives thanks for the wonderful wedding of fil and for good conversations with dh. Pray for this to continue so that all issues may be resolved. Pray also for recovery from cold and protection from threatened Crohn's attack.

Xaviella has seen the end of her relationship in the last week. Pray for the peace of God to surround her and her family as she adjusts to life on her own

ZipadySuzy is back after a wonderful lady at the library gave her a computer. Unfortunately all stuff from her old computer has been lost at the repairers.
Pray that she will be able to pace herself

Also remember Katz NQGU and Worzella.

Finally:- Give thanks to the Lord always. Rejoice in the Lord always. God is great. ..all the time

CD - prayers for your sickness to subside, is it a bug?

Twins went to sleep at 1am up at 6.30am (shock] so we are very tired, hope they manage the day without being too grumpy, as we have a nice day planned, on this glorious day again! praise the lord.

harrisey, Prayers for ds settling in to school my ds hates being left at nursery, kicks up a fuss everytime he has to go, all the way there and when he gets there, but once he is left he is fine. Does pull at your heart strings doesn't it.

Prayers for everyone to have a lovely sunny day

ZipadiSuzy · 24/08/2007 09:29

CD - oops sorry, 'HAPPY 5th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY'

podglet · 24/08/2007 10:14

Morning,

CD - hope you feel less icky soon and have a lovely wed ann

Harrissey - so sorry to hear about DS and the other little boy. Praying for both.

Zip - can I have 3 of whatever you're on please?

well ladies, after all this fuss it looks like we will exchange today with completion on the 7th Sept - do you know how hard it is to type with crossed fingers??? Have been madly ringing removal companies to book someone in to pack and then move us...

Off to spend the day with my mum and my "step" family. She and her partner aren't married but they live together and it is his daughter's 21st this weekend and his parents are staying from Shrewsbury and they haven't met DS yet. That sentance is not grammatically correct at all and I am ashamed of myself hope you get the drift.

Right, less waffling, more getting ready to go!

CaptainCaveman · 24/08/2007 11:17

Happy Anniversary CD and Mr CD, I hope you have a nice day and don't feel ill!!

What a gorgeous sunny day! Off to see a friend and her 2 lo's this afternoon so should get to play in the garden, yay!!

Feeling happy happy happy so Praise the Lord

CaptainDippy · 24/08/2007 11:33

Awwww, everyone sounds so - that is nice! Hope you all enjoy what you are up to today! I am still feel rough and grotty Think it must definitely be a nasty bug, just praying DH and the DC's don't get it, bless 'em. Feeling very slightly vaguely better, but up and down to the loo every 5 mins It is just soooo rubbish - 1st time we get some time to ourselves and I am poorly sick. Typical.

Sorry - so self-absorbed ...

Glad you are feeling more positive Xavi hon - anytime you need to chat, we are here. xx

DutchOma · 24/08/2007 22:56

Did you manage to go out Dippy?
Rosey, how are you feeling? How long does it take before you feel any benefit from keeping to this strict diet?
How did it go with ds Harrisey?
When our ds was at nursery he would love it, barely said goodbye, but there was another little boy who would stand at the window and pine for his mummy, who just dumped him and ran so I would always wave to him.
I've still not put the photos on the CD Soozy, I will soon, I've got the Cds.
Blessings for all

Morning! Did go out yesterday PM, but felt pretty awful so didn't go out yesterday evening, just went to bed, feeling better this morning, but still a little wobbly and things still "not quite right"

I think getting up at 6.30am in a Sat morning is obscene! Yuk!

How is everyone doing today? What plans for the long weekend? We're taking the DD's shoe shopping today (the joys....); church picnic tomorrow; not sure about Monday .....

Best go, I'm being "summond" ....

bobsmum · 25/08/2007 08:29

Hee Hee Heee - Harrisey made me come here and confess. Seeing as this isn't real life and I know you can keep a secret then can you pray for me because I'm just (and only just!) pregnant!

Timing for this baby would be fab (due May1st) and I just would like everything to go smoothly. Assuming all is well with baby, my biggest fear is that my SPD comes back with a vengeance.

Anyway, I couldn't get hold my parents last night so dreadful etiquette to tell you lot and not them, but hey you know about the hotline to our Father and my parents don't (yet)

MIL staying for the weekend - joy.

Ds loving his first week at school and he's gutted he's not going today - awwwww.

Roseylea · 25/08/2007 09:16

Congratulations Bobsmum!

Fabulous news. 3 dc for you then!

CD glad you were able to get out yesterday - happy 5th anniversary!

I need more prayer please! I am feeling rotten rotten rotten. This awful chest infection is back with a vengeance - went to see doc yesterday and back on ABs. The crohns is bad too. Dh has had to go out and do something this morning - he promised a favour to a family member. THe dc want to go out as it is sunny here at long last but I just want to crawl up in my bed. Please pray that I'd be able to do something with them!

Xavielli · 25/08/2007 09:21

Congratulations Bobsmum!

harrisey · 25/08/2007 10:14

Could you email me - I cant find your addy adn we fancy a wee loch Lomond trip!

DutchOma · 25/08/2007 10:16

I'm sorry Rosey. Hope things improve. These chest infections on top of the Crohn's...blessings on your dcs as well, it's not easy for them. Praying that dh finds some time for you as a family as well, after all the time spent looking after his father's wedding it's time for you?
CD glad you did have an outing, (belated) congratulations on your anniversary.
And massive congratulations to Bobsmum, hopefully your mum will not find out from Mumsnet that you're pregnant?
We are having two dnieces from Holland with us this weekend, they are going to Wales on Monday for a (wait for it) robot fighting event and breaking their journey here. They'll be in the computer room, so not much chance on catching up.

notsofarnow · 25/08/2007 11:27

oh bobsmum that is brill - i've just submitted an online application form for a newborn hearing screener.

Rosey hun ugh to the chrons and chest infection again - don't think my prayers for healing are doing much. dd is still on crutches after injuring her knee yet again the week before last at my mums, it isn't getting anybetter she's got physio on Tues and i'm jsut fed up of it now its been giving her probs for the last 2yrs.

Right off to try and get ds some school shoes nowhere seems to have a size 7 think he will be going ot nursery barefoot.

CaptainCaveman · 25/08/2007 12:30

aww, thats fabbo new Bobsmum! Huge congratulations to you!!!

Sorry you're feeling so rough Rosey, prayers of healing and energy for you.

Good luck for application nsfn!

Hey CD, I have a little pirate playing next to me here, singing "what shall we do with the scurvy pirate" (although he's actually singing 'scurby' ).

Done a tonne of washing, now to start on the cleaning and tidying. Going to get the house fit for putting back on the market so dh has been dispatched to buy paint to finish painting the kitchen (he started this 2 years ago but never did the ceiling!!).
so, am going to chuck a load of toys probably suitable for 1 - 2 year olds if anyone wants them? Otherwise I'll send them to nursery or freecycle.....

notsofarnow · 25/08/2007 17:30

Get on over to the thread on the home page on what happens after we die. I useless at putting things in words so come on girls do a better job than me for goodness sake.

Times like this i wonder how on earth I was ever in a position of leadership when I can't even explain what I believe at times.

ZipadiSuzy · 25/08/2007 21:49

Just lurking, hia all, about to watch 'vicar of dibley' but had a busy day, bought school shoes, garden swing, paint for the twins room, bedding for our room, and ate lots of chocolate!!!

Fantastic news for you and dh BOBSMUM, we have watched video of twins from birth this afternoon, (kept out of sun) after waiting all summer for it!

Im really blessed my horrid bits are going leaving me with the nice bits to remember about twins and how hard it was when they were babys' they were so scrummy, and now they are LOUD! - CD will back me up on that one!

Going to the East Coast tomorrow, prayers for you all to enjoy your Bank Holidays

harrisey · 26/08/2007 09:26

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!!!!
Its a lovely Sunny Sunday in Glasgow and we are going to walk to church as it is so nice.

Hope you all have a lovely day, and meet God wherever you are today,

xxx

CaptainDippy · 26/08/2007 11:14

Yes, Soooz's twins were rather LOUD - sounded fab though!

Have posted on that "after we die" thread, nsfn, but am rubbish at expressing myself & scared of the backlash too .... So I've been a bit of a coward, I'm afraid.

Love & Prayers to all .... off to picnic with church in a sec .... Lovely weather here, though no as nice as yesterday ....

Anyone got any ideas what DH & I and three little girlies can do tomorrow???

harrisey · 26/08/2007 13:51

Thanks CD fir backing me up on the thread. Do you think I said it all right? I have real problems posting on these threads after recetly someone said I wasnt a nice person because of what I believed - a good old mnetter who I had a lot of respect for, which really bothered me for a bit.

We are going to the park, just as soon as the Turkish Grans Prix is over!

Roseylea · 26/08/2007 16:54

Hello all!

Hpoe you're all having a luvverley Sunday! CD a church picnic sounds very nice, esp. on a beautiful day like this.

DO thank you for your concern!

I'm feeling a bit better today - on paracetomol and anti-biotics though. TMI alert - I'm coughing up brown gunk - yuk, and slightly worrying.

We manged to get to church this morning though, and it was a fabbo service. Took the dc up for a blessing during the Holy Communion bit and the vicar said the most beautiful prayers for them - I was so blessed on their behalf!

I've been entertaining kids in the park this afternoon - I started this thread yesterday as there are so many kids around here who play on their own in the park - so this afternoon we had a "pretend party" - I got them all doing running races and playing musical statues!

CaptainDippy · 26/08/2007 19:21

I remember that, Harrisey - I would have been hurt too - I thought what you said on the "life after death" thread was v.well put - I wouldn't have backed you up / agreed with you if it wasn't!

@ 4 yo in park on their own, Rosey - that is awful and so so so Bless you for entertaining them all this PM. Praying lots for your health, esp the "brown gunk", perhaps you should try NHSDirect or similar!!?

Church Picnic was lovely, but all too brief .... got there at 12pm, everyone started leaving at 2pm!! Weird imho ..... DH, the girls & I and a lovely lady from our Home Group stayed on til 4ish .... hardcore, us!!?

Right, off to watch a DVD with DH and chill .... what are people's plans for the Bank Hol Mon? We're buying Stick Insects for DD's 1 & 2 (and they'll prob persuade us to get some for DD3 too! ) ... and then, dunno what ..... park?

notsofarnow · 26/08/2007 22:13

I'm working tomorrow - just pray that I don't get moved to another ward because our's will probably be quiet.

Big kids are in charge of little kids tomorrow.

Right off to bed nite nite

worzella · 27/08/2007 08:15

morning all - hope you enjoy the bank hiliday. Parying that you feel better soon Roasey. Well said to those who posted on the other thread!

Quick prayer needed here for my eye. i got conjunctivitus on Wed, turns out i became alergic to oitment si now eye is really painful and swollen. Have new drops but they don't seem to be making much of a difference. Also I have flu like symptoms.... so feeling pretty rough. The worst thing is that we're on holiday in devon and we've not really been able to do much so the 3DCs are fed up!

CaptainCaveman · 27/08/2007 10:15

aww, Worz sorry your eye is poorly and you're feeling rough. Praying that it clears up very soon and you feel better too.
ps. whats a bank hiliday? Is it like a holiday with hills (tongue in cheek emoticon)!

Praying you feel better too Rosey and that your ab's work v soon.

Hi everyone else hope you are all enjoying respective bank holidays (except you Scottish folk of course - is it not bank holiday in Scotland?)

Dh is still asleep! Did i tell you he spied on mn and thought dh stood for d**k head!? (excuse the language!) Bless him.

Also PRAISE GOD for dsis is still 'dry' and looking good! Prayer for ds though, he's poorly with a temp and bug. Might be a sore throat as phewee his breath STINKS!

Thankyou God for a beautiful day and for the calm and peace I feel in my heart.
