First of all we want to give thanks for Peter's new heart and keep praying for Misdee (LadyVictoriaOfCake), the three girls and the extended family. Pray for continuing healing and a full recovery.

In tension with that we pray for Onlyjoking and Steve and their three children, together with Steve's mother and his (twin) brother. Let us commit them in prayer to the God of miracles and of blessing. Pray that they will find help in the most unexpected places and that the 'peace of God which passes all understanding' will fill their heart.

Prayers for CaptainCaveman in a difficult situation with dsis in hospital. Praying for grace to cope from day to day with issues that are longstanding and unresolved. Prayer for restful nights and an deliverance from panic attacks.
Give thanks for an understanding manager at work.

CaptainDippy gives thanks for dh's new job, which is going well so far and for Phoebe sleeping through the night. Prayers to cope with all the stress of having three 'ickle pickles'.

Harrisey - thanks for a holiday that was better than expected. Thanks for a smooth start to school for ds. Prayers for dh, proper adjustment of medication and for an end to H's migraine.

We pray for MaryBS for a wonderful time on holiday also for Mufti. NASWM (Losty) Let's give thanks that she is getting better, although she is nowhere near well. Hoping to be discharged in September. Pray for the necessary help to be found. (Thanks to DumbledoresGirl for the update). If possible post a message on the thread. here
NotSoFarNow Pray for her as she continues to adjust to life without husband. Pray for relationships with her family and for the new beginnings that may be possible. Pray for wisdom in the situation.

PandaG Pray for her and her friends who are moving away leaving a void.

Podglet Pray that the house situation may be resolved very speedily

QueenofQuotes Give thanks with her for an improving relationship with dh. Pray for the older dss that they may find time to have some Christian teaching as well as sport on a Sunday.

Roseylea gives thanks for the wonderful wedding of fil and for good conversations with dh. Pray for this to continue so that all issues may be resolved. Pray also for recovery from cold and protection from threatened Crohn's attack.

Xaviella has seen the end of her relationship in the last week. Pray for the peace of God to surround her and her family as she adjusts to life on her own

ZipadySuzy is back after a wonderful lady at the library gave her a computer. Unfortunately all stuff from her old computer has been lost at the repairers.
Pray that she will be able to pace herself

Also remember Katz NQGU and Worzella.

Finally:- Give thanks to the Lord always. Rejoice in the Lord always. God is great. ..all the time

CaptainDippy · 30/08/2007 15:51

Hi Soooooooooooz - all the best with tidying - I've just given our place a quick "Lick & Polish" - all I have time for now-a-days .... going to try and collar DH into doing the bathroom tonight - what a treat!

So glad you a feeling a bit better Rosey hon. Praying fory our continued recovery and for the dream to translate itself into your life / someone else life in some way - How exciting!

Yey for Baby2 Mars - Praying for fabulous delivery and then a bit of rest yourself!!?

Right need to boobie baby and then nip into town for a couple of bits .....

notsofarnow · 30/08/2007 17:16

lol at boobie baby cd.

Can I just ask that you pray that the family that are moving in next door to me are going to be no trouble. They are moving from the worst street in the area my dd saw her and spoke to her yesterday and says 'mum she's rough' There are six children so if nothing else its going to be noisey its only a 3 bed council house so I don't know what the council are doing moving them into a house this size anyway.

podglet · 30/08/2007 17:25

Hi all,

So pleased you are feeling better Rosey, long may it continue

MummytoT&F was on our ante / post natal threads for Nov 06. How terrible for her. Have posted on her thread but the words seem so inadequate.

Joy of Joys - we have exchanged all set to complete on Fri 7th Sept. However, that weekend now reads as follows...
Fri 7th - move.
Sat 8th / Sun 9th - wedding in Bedford. Supposed to be child free but have special dispensation to take DS as have no one to look after him as my mum will be in Sussex.
Mon 10th - Grans funeral in Sussex.
Weds 12th - my birthday, by which time I expect to be lying in a dark room with a gin bottle.

DP has the gall to moan about the amount of driving he will have to do. How terribly unfair of me to be paritally sighted and not help out with that... grr I know it will be tiring for him but I didn't plan for it all to happen at once.

Ok, enough me me me... hope everyone is ok

CaptainCaveman · 30/08/2007 20:30

Aww Podglet you will need the gin come weds! (although Gin makes me miserable so jack daniels would do in my case
).

I didn't know you had a problem with your eyesight - how does this affect you day to day? Sorry am being nosey, tell me to bugger off!!

Praise indeed for the Lord answering Marsy's prayers and for healthy babies too.

Cd - lick and spit!? I've lost the hoover under a pile of dust. Good job I know dh is staying away tonight or I'd have to start looking for him under piles of ironing!! Can I be bothered to do any of it, errmmm NO.

I intend to drink some vino and get an early night, enjoying the luxury of the king sized bed ALL TO MYSELF . Yippee!

Hiya nsfn, DO, Mary, Sooz, Rosey, Katz, Worz, Mufti and everyone of us in our virtual fellowship. You guys are tops and I thank God for blessing me with your friendship.

onlyjoking9329 · 30/08/2007 20:37

Thanks for all your good wishes, we had a lovely night away.
Steve was able to enjoy a lovely meal with me and a bottle of bubbly too
we are at the hospital in the morning we are hoping that the swelling has gone down enough for him to have the head mould made as he can't start radio & chemo until this is done

harrisey · 31/08/2007 00:28

Deary me!!

Anyway -

NSFN, praying for the new family moving in next door, praying they are quiet, peaceful sort of people!!? We've got some quite unsavoury neighbours here and it is tough going; but we'e sort of used to it now ....

Yey for exchanging Podglet - all good stuff! Praying everything runs smoothly from here on in - sounds like you've got a busy time ahead though ......

Praying you enjoy your time away, harrisey hon - @ not having to get children up / put them to bed - Fab stuff - Enjoy! Praying you and DH would have a really special time together.......

{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} Rosey - you poor thing! Really praying for a quick recovery, this has been going on a loooong old time now. Keep posting, we'll keep praying .....

Good to "see" you OJ, thank you for popping in - You and your precious family are constantly in my prayers and thoughts. Wonderful that you and Steve were able to spend a lovely night away together! Praying the swelling has gone enough so that they can make the mould - I look out for your threads to know the latest, but do feel free to pop in here whenever you are able!

What are people's plans today? DH has a 1/2 day so we can go out to a Farm this PM with an old school friend of his, his wife & their 2 boys ..... should be fun .... Just praying DD2 sleeps this AM so she can enjoy it and not be too grotty .... she's chatting away in her cot atm. Sigh. Trying not to get stressed .....

DutchOma · 31/08/2007 10:20

Let's knowwhat the doc said Rosey, so we can pray specifically into your situation.

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 31/08/2007 10:46

Hi DutchOma!! How's you??

bobsmum · 31/08/2007 10:53

Need prayers for stamina today.

Dcs had v late night - had to take them to PTA meeting as dh was away on business and ds went to school in tears - he's knackered.

But tonight I'm organising a fundraising fashion show for the school and the dcs are also models so another late, late night.

I'm meant to be setting up the hall in an hour or so, but also need to finish the commentary for the compere and sort out my own stock for the stalls afterwards. With school pick ups/naps/lunch and dinner I'm not sure how it's going to work.

But I did see a rainbow earlier, so that's something

Also a bit sleepy and sick myself this am.

Ho hum. Roll on Saturday!!!

CaptainDippy · 31/08/2007 10:53

Oh and DD2 has finally gone to sleep (I hope...) Thank you for your prayers! (Going in to check whether nappy is still actually on her backside or not! )

CaptainDippy · 31/08/2007 10:59

Yey for Rainbows - Aaaah, God's promises, eh!!? Praying for amazing staminia, bobsmum, sweetie (funny for you to post as I was just thinking about you and have jsut written DS' Birthday card!!!) Hope you enjoy the Fashion Show despite the stress etc - Praying you get it all done and keep a calm perspective .... the little one's will be fine for a couple of late nights and hopefully might even sleep better and longer the next couple of nights!!!!!!? {{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you sweetie. Have you tried Preggie Pops for the sickness? I sell them in my shop, could pop some in the post to you as I know it can be difficult to get to shops etc .... Let me know!? You are amazing - take care of yourself and that precious little Bean. xx

CaptainDippy · 31/08/2007 11:01

bobsmum · 31/08/2007 11:03

mmmm preggy pops - yes please or should that be (nausea emoticon!)

CaptainDippy · 31/08/2007 11:06

ZipadiSuzy · 31/08/2007 11:46

DutchOma · 31/08/2007 12:26

I'm fine CD, x posted answering Rosey's letter. So good to be in touch with you all.
What shop do you work in? How on earth do you manage, with such a little one still being bf? Every respect

OP posts:
podglet · 31/08/2007 14:01

hope everyone is ok, not much time for a proper catch up but a big thank you for your continuing thoughts and prayers. However, I think I am going to need more....

It would appear that I am pg again we have been sort of trying again for a couple of months, but because DS took 2 years to conceive, haven't been giving it much thought and were going to wait until after xmas to start ttc in earnest. I haven't told DP yet, he is so stressed at the moment. I am scared, excited, scared, shocked

So, another thing to add to my list!
Rosey, so sorry to hear you have had a turn for the worst, hope the Dr is able to help.

CD - also much respect for the whole work / little dd thing

Hey DO - how are you?

Off now for a little panic in the corner...
