Good idea about the word document speakout, that’s happened to me too. A real shame about your post Elphame, I always learn a lot from you.
Rufflecrow, speakout is right, that is what I meant but working with what’s already there! IMO, your own energy is your most powerful tool. Wise words and great ideas from both of you I think. I really enjoyed reading them.
I think when we want something, be it a relationship, a new job, a holiday, a new pair of boots etc. We’re always really craving the feeling the thing will give us- excitement, adventure, contentment, comfort etc. I’ve found it helpful to identify the feeling I’m craving and then work to generate that in myself.
So, If I want a holiday, I might identify that I want to feel peace, tranquility, new experiences and so on. Once I’ve identified this I can carve out time to generate that energy in my life- through focus, intention and actions. In turn my energy will attract experiences that will give me what I crave. Not always in the form I thought I needed it!
I like this approach because as you’ve been discussing, the power then lies with you as opposed to being ‘attached’ to another person- you’re in the driving seat..
I find use of scents, colours, images etc a useful starting point for generating energy- engage the senses and they’ll help you create flow
