Hello! DD1 at nursery and other 2 safely tucked up in bed, so just thought I would do a summary and start a new thread!

MaryBS - A customer (K) from Mary's would like prayers for her mother. Prayers for friend from another thread who has recently lost her DH. Prayers for N who is in hospital with ear infection, has just undergone an operation. Prayers for DH who is possibly going to be promoted at work ..... !?

RoseyLea - Has been very poorly with nasty chest infection - prayers that she would recover 100% asap - Praise God for how wonderful and understanding her DC's are being! Prayers for her bro who has been made redundant and is seeking new employment.

mumtogusandalbie - Is back!!!! Prayers for her as she deals with panic and anxiety - put caring, supportive people around her, Lord.

CaptainCaveman - Prayers for friends who recently found out they had lost their baby at the 12 week scan. On-going prayers for her alcoholic Dsis and Dniece, saw HV the other day (how did it go??) Prayers for CC as she copes with anxiety on the "mad-pills"

OnlyJoking - DH has MS and Brain Tumour - underwent surgery yesterday, waiting for news - keep praying ......

Sooz - Computer is broken, but is getting a new one from a nice lady at the library soon - Praise the Lord!!

BedofRosesitAint - Is going to be away for 3 weeks - don't forget her! Things are going much better for her!

QQQ - Things are going well between her and DH. Prayers for her as she struggles with the decision between letting her boys go to rugby or church on a Sun morning come Sept. Prayers for finances as they are v.tight this month.

notsofarnow - Is back!! Prayers for her as health is not good right now - eye infection & stomach bug. Praise God she is getting back into a "helm" position at church! Prayers for her as she copes with a new sort of relationship with her husband.

Podglet - Hello and Welcome! Prayers for her as she has a lot going on right now - Her DGran is in final stage cancer and she would also like prayers for a friend who is in the throes of a break-up from her DH after years of lying and cheating. Prayers for her as she "finds more faith"!

NotQuiteGrownUp - Prayers for DS1 who is grumpy and struggling with the new routine of being on hols and not at school. Prayers for a wonderful time as their family head off on hols for 2 weeks!

Worzella - Prayers for her as she struggles with each day....

CaptainDippy - DH starts new job on Mon 13th Aug - prayers for her as she is feeling v.anxious about the new routine that this will mean.

Prayers for Misdee, Peter and Girls as they wait to see if Peter can have a new heart ......

Prayers for those affected by this new outbreak of Foot and Mouth.

Prayers and Praise for all of these things and for those not mentioned too - esp DutchOma who is such a wonderful and special person to have on this thread, bringing her strength, humour and wisdom to all those with requests etc

I have just got round to uploading some pics of my dcs onto my profile as well if anyone is interested!

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 20:53

Awww, bless your 3 little lovelies, harrisey! Your DS looks sooo growed up in his school stuf - how did he get on??

OP posts:
harrisey · 17/08/2007 21:00

I have no idea what he did but he said it was good. Conversation went something lke:

How was school?

Good

What did you do?

We didnt get any homework!
Can I play playstation when we get home?

Discovered today that Miss MacDonald is strict and she has a calender where good boys and girls get a blue sticker and naughty boys and girls get a red sticker then if you get all blue stickers at the end of the week then you get a big sticker to take home.

So all my council tax appears to be going on stickers for ds's class

He sits at the green table and he has a buddy in the playground but he doesnt know his name!

But he's going back on Monday and is a little disappointed that he isnt going tomorrow!

And he wants to know when he will get homework!!!

notsofarnow · 17/08/2007 21:34

aww bless harrisey - they are so cute when they start school aren't they. DD starts in Sept but it is a continuation from pre school where she has already been doing 2 full days a week as they have an afternoon playgroup attatched to school.

As I said earlier I think, we're at my mum and dads at the minute. I've only been here 27 hours and my Dad is driving me nuts. He can't wait to see the kids then when their here he does nothing but moan about how noisey they are, how they bumb into his chair. My db has been her this eve with his two and they have all been like wound up springs and he's doing his nut.

My mum is on her way back from kids summer camp and she just rang asking if I wanted anything to eat and he's going nuts because she'll be bringing her friend home I guess to eat the food that they've bought - he can't see why she should come when they been together all week.

Also she is going away again next Thurs for w/e and he reckons he didn't know and says there's going to be words tomorrow. If he starts then i'm off home.

I really don't know how they are still married - I really don't.

He hates the time she spends at Church and tbh my xh hasn't done anything to bring him any nearer contemplating Christianity - after all if a minsister can do what he's done then whats the point. As far as he's concerned he can find better Christians in the pub.

Lord give me strength.

DutchOma · 17/08/2007 22:22

He will NSFN, He will. So the ex you talk about, who will look after the children when you are at work but who won't lift a finger to help you is a minister? And left you with four children? Sorry, but I haven't been on this thread that long and I'm still catching up.
Are all the children with you at your parents'? I don't think I would stick it for very long either

notsofarnow · 18/08/2007 09:05

duthoma yes we were both ministers, but lost it all when he had an affair two years ago.

The children are all here at my mum and dads. Mums told him this morning that she's heard he's been miserable and that i'm going home if he keeps it up and he's gone out. Typical, but I hate it when they start - no shouting but I just hate the way they communicate or rather don't.

So now i'm in trouble for opening my mouth in the first place and everyone should know that he's tired because he gets up at four for work. But like mum says why doesn't he go to bed for an hour when he gets in then.

He moans about never seein the kids and then when thier here he does nothing but moan.

sorry rant over.

Roseylea · 18/08/2007 10:23

NSFN I am praying for you - it sounds very stressful! Praying for "peace that treanscends all understanding".

Ummmm...this may or may not be helpful, but there is an organisation in the CofE called http://www.brokenrites.org/index.htm broken rites for clergy marriages that have come to an end. They give excellent support - I know you're not CofE but there might be something in there that is useful.

And DutchOma - don't be surprised if you get some mini works of art coming through your letterbox soon! When I told dd about your sending me that book, she wanted to send something to you...

Please pray for today! It's the wedding day (FIL's). The barn where the reception is being held has been transformed and it looks beautiful. Dsis is babysitting this pm as we dance the night away so my immediate concern is to get the house looking a bit more respectable!

Roseylea · 18/08/2007 10:23

broken rites

notsofarnow · 18/08/2007 10:50

omw rosey just reading the why we're here i have tears in my eyes that is just so everything I feel.

Will have to look properly when i'm home and on my own.

Flipping heck why does this have to be so hard.

DutchOma · 18/08/2007 11:01

Rosey, works of art duly arrived, I'm sooo pleased, really, I think it's lovely of her to want to do something back. Please thank her for me when you get back to the computer and her.
NSFN, sorry darling for dragging it all up for you:-"for this we have Jesus", do you know that song? Hope the rest of your stay is more restful, if not, don't threaten something you will not, or cannot carry out, i.e. go home.
Not out of spite or to be awkward, but just because this sort of relationship is not good for you, the children or your parents for that matter. Better to once put your foot down and have done with it, in the hope that things will be better next time.
Best of luck

CaptainDippy · 18/08/2007 19:51

Awwww, bless to your DS, harrisey- glad he enjoyed it!

Suzy good to have you back. Is this the library lady's computer? Or a new one?
Never mind you can't get all your stuff on the computer, you've got MN what else do you want?

notsofarnow · 19/08/2007 19:52

yes she's right all you need is mumsnet and msn - anyone else do msn by the way?

Not been to church today, in fact not done a lot at all bored, bored, bored. But eating chocolate now and Sunday eve telly how brill.

ZipadiSuzy · 19/08/2007 22:14

Yes it was the library lady's computer, you can't get kinder than that!

I think I will send her some flowers, she won't accept any money.

The amount of kindness we have received this last couple of months from friends and people we don't even know is not even measurable.

We are in debt of kindness atm but very grateful and happy, thank you lord for these wonderful people.

CaptainDippy · 19/08/2007 22:30

Yes, thank you indded! Good to have you back Soooooooooooooooooooooz - Was fab to speak to you that time on the 'phone! Think flowers would be lovely gesture if she won't accept some dosh.

Glad the Wedding went ok, rosey - 8 growed up children plus extras!!! Wow - impressive!!

LOL @ DutchOma & nsfn!

Been a good day, thoroughly enjoyed watching the Red Arrows at the seafront this PM and DH & I just watched the closing fireworks from our bedroom window - Lovely .... Time for bed ..... must do round-up soon ....

"GOOD MORNING"

Just been to an early morning 7.00am session of 'Karate' thats woken me up!

Prayers for you all to start the day.

Shame the weather is not as positive, white enclosed cloud pressing down on notts!!!

Its tidy up time, tidy up time, you choose it, you use it, you put it away! lalala

Yip the nutters back! talking to herself!

harrisey · 20/08/2007 09:03

Oooooh its a beautiful sunny day in Glasgow today.

We have spent the last few days really cleanig up the house - puling all the furniture out, cleaning behind it etc, and it is SO nice to be clean and tidy and organised now that school is back - I'm not naturally organised but I like it when I am on top of things. Please pray it can continue.

Tha main reason for this is that we think dh's ads aren't working too well. He's been sliding downhill again and is finding life hard to cope with, adn he can't stand mess so keeping things organised means he can cope better. He's going to spek to his GP this week but we think he will have his tablets changed (been on prozac for a year, but it doesnt seem to be working any more). He's away working this week in a nice quiet little practice in the country so that will give him a bit of a break from the chaos that is home, and give hima chance to get a few good night's sleep under his belt.

If you could pray for him, I'd really appreciate it.

CaptainDippy · 20/08/2007 10:47

Praying for him harrisey sweetheart - and for you and your lovely DC's too - Can't be easy to handle, you are so strong. God wrap you all up in His infinte love & care.

Great to have you back, Sooz, we have missed you - You nutter!

All ok in DippyLand today ....
