MN Christian Prayer Request Thread - Moving through the summer........

Hello! DD1 at nursery and other 2 safely tucked up in bed, so just thought I would do a summary and start a new thread!

MaryBS - A customer (K) from Mary's would like prayers for her mother. Prayers for friend from another thread who has recently lost her DH. Prayers for N who is in hospital with ear infection, has just undergone an operation. Prayers for DH who is possibly going to be promoted at work ..... !?

RoseyLea - Has been very poorly with nasty chest infection - prayers that she would recover 100% asap - Praise God for how wonderful and understanding her DC's are being! Prayers for her bro who has been made redundant and is seeking new employment.

mumtogusandalbie - Is back!!!! Prayers for her as she deals with panic and anxiety - put caring, supportive people around her, Lord.

CaptainCaveman - Prayers for friends who recently found out they had lost their baby at the 12 week scan. On-going prayers for her alcoholic Dsis and Dniece, saw HV the other day (how did it go??) Prayers for CC as she copes with anxiety on the "mad-pills"

OnlyJoking - DH has MS and Brain Tumour - underwent surgery yesterday, waiting for news - keep praying ......

Sooz - Computer is broken, but is getting a new one from a nice lady at the library soon - Praise the Lord!!

BedofRosesitAint - Is going to be away for 3 weeks - don't forget her! Things are going much better for her!

QQQ - Things are going well between her and DH. Prayers for her as she struggles with the decision between letting her boys go to rugby or church on a Sun morning come Sept. Prayers for finances as they are v.tight this month.

notsofarnow - Is back!! Prayers for her as health is not good right now - eye infection & stomach bug. Praise God she is getting back into a "helm" position at church! Prayers for her as she copes with a new sort of relationship with her husband.

Podglet - Hello and Welcome! Prayers for her as she has a lot going on right now - Her DGran is in final stage cancer and she would also like prayers for a friend who is in the throes of a break-up from her DH after years of lying and cheating. Prayers for her as she "finds more faith"!

NotQuiteGrownUp - Prayers for DS1 who is grumpy and struggling with the new routine of being on hols and not at school. Prayers for a wonderful time as their family head off on hols for 2 weeks!

Worzella - Prayers for her as she struggles with each day....

CaptainDippy - DH starts new job on Mon 13th Aug - prayers for her as she is feeling v.anxious about the new routine that this will mean.

Prayers for Misdee, Peter and Girls as they wait to see if Peter can have a new heart ......

Prayers for those affected by this new outbreak of Foot and Mouth.

Prayers and Praise for all of these things and for those not mentioned too - esp DutchOma who is such a wonderful and special person to have on this thread, bringing her strength, humour and wisdom to all those with requests etc

thankyou all for your prayers. steve is hoping to have his staples out tomorrow or tuesday, all depends on getting cover for our three.
Need lots of prayers for the meeting on wednesday with the oncologist.
steve needs a full body scan to check for other tumours

RL - it was Sunday. We went out for a lovely meal at our fave restaurant.

NSFN - don't run yourself down! Glad things are going well re: the hairy biker - it gives you a lift!

I've decided no more studying till after my holiday! I need the rest!

No news at all of NASWM. I sent a CAT message to iloverunning but had no reply and Dumbledoresgirl is still on holiday. Thank God that He knows all her needs.

Mary, wise decision. When are you going and where?
OJ - what can one say? How is Steve this morning? Are the children alright? As alright as is possible under the circs?

Quick catch up after a hectic weekend

OJ - thinking of you for Wednesday and hoping the news is more positive.

Mary - Happy Belated Birthday glad you had a lovely day.

CD - sorry to hear you were feeling down. Hoping you are now feeling a bit better and DH has a good first day at his new job.

NSFN - sounds good with the on line chappy. Of course he won't run a mile when he sees you and if he does, I am sure it will be TOWARDS you!

Hen night was wonderful. Very tiring though - didn't get home til midnight (2 hour journey) then was up at 5.30 with DS who was so excited to see me he wouldn't go back to sleep incase I disappeared again
Spent yesterday with PIL in Kent - another lovely day.

Hope the start of a new week is going well for all.

I'm v. v. tired today - trying to do lots of housework and keep the dc happy (not easy as they're both tired and crotchety too...)

THis Psalm came to me yesterday and I thought I'd share it with you (a bit shortened)...

That image of God as our refuge and strength, in amongst all sorts of chaos and disaster, and that promise "She will not fall" - I just felt that we needed to hear that atm.

Morning all

I'm wobbling a bit today, keep getting rising panicky feelings. Had long discussions (no not arguments!)with DH at the weekend, which have not yet been resolved - or at least I don't think they have. I feel all on edge with him and this is not nice. I am trying to be an adult and not give him the silent treatment or resort to screamimg rows, which have been my default reactions in the past.

Morning all. Feeling a bit fed up this morning, just the monotomy of keeping the house together, getting up with the kids, cooking cleaning while he gets to do bog all but be here maybe once a week and he's going away on Thurs for 2 weeks on his own in a collegues caravan - nice if you can get it I suppose.

Right off to the sun centre at Rhyl please pray I cheer up otherwise my friend is going be demented with me and her sis in law who's dh has just left them an is being a right p.i.t.a.

NSFN - praying you had a good time at the sun centre!

Panda - praying you find the words to resolve discussions with your DH, may the Spirit inspire you and bring you both closer together!

I went to Morning Prayer this morning, and it REALLY set me up for the rest of the day! (I got to work half an hour late though )

RL - that's a beautiful passage! Hope you're not feeling so tired today...?

DO - we're off to Cornwall for a week first, then Devon for a week. We go Friday night, stopping in a Travelodge on the way down. On the way back we're stopping at Bristol, so I can meet up (for the first time) with a "Reader in training" friend who has been supporting me through my angst! She is being licensed in October, and I'm going to go down for that too!

My thoughts are with Misdee and peter tonight and the family who have lost someone.
Steve is ok thou i did hear him telling his twin brother not to worry about tomorrow as he thinks he will be getting the all clear

Thought most of you won't see this until the morning - think we should all firstly thank God that Peter is having a heart transplant - and 2ndly that everything goes well.

Also thoughts with the Donor's family.

As I was awake, I got up... THANK GOD the transplant is going ahead.

Lord, protect Peter as he goes through this most dangerous of operations, and bring him home safe to his wife and family... take care of those who have lost a loved one that Peter might live, and comfort all those who have lost someone tonight. Amen.

I got up at 3 to look whether the transplant was going ahead and spent the time falling asleep again, thanking God, praying for Peter and the family and the donor family, but also for you Mary, being regularly awake at that hour in the night.
This morning in our Bible reading (we are thinking about Joseph) there was a bit about God being absolutely overwhelmingly kind and generous.
OJ and Steve need that today, God's miraculous and overwhelming kindness and grace.

Thank you Lord for this amazing chance for Peter and his family - He will be in my thoughts and prayers all today .....

Praying for Steve with his scan today OJ - Please let us know how it goes ... I hope his twin brother is right ....

How are you feeling atm Panda hon? Praying for you - As I've said before - I know all about that anxious, panicy stuff ..... Hope you are feeling more calm and heaps brighter ...

My dad is coming down today. Should be here by now, but he overslept (what's new!!!?) Going to brave the Mini Railway whatever the weather & then going to friends little girl's 1st Birthday Tea .... I'll exhausted tonight, esp as I didn't have a great night last night ... Sigh....
