MN Christian Prayer Request Thread - Moving through the summer........

Hello! DD1 at nursery and other 2 safely tucked up in bed, so just thought I would do a summary and start a new thread!

MaryBS - A customer (K) from Mary's would like prayers for her mother. Prayers for friend from another thread who has recently lost her DH. Prayers for N who is in hospital with ear infection, has just undergone an operation. Prayers for DH who is possibly going to be promoted at work ..... !?

RoseyLea - Has been very poorly with nasty chest infection - prayers that she would recover 100% asap - Praise God for how wonderful and understanding her DC's are being! Prayers for her bro who has been made redundant and is seeking new employment.

mumtogusandalbie - Is back!!!! Prayers for her as she deals with panic and anxiety - put caring, supportive people around her, Lord.

CaptainCaveman - Prayers for friends who recently found out they had lost their baby at the 12 week scan. On-going prayers for her alcoholic Dsis and Dniece, saw HV the other day (how did it go??) Prayers for CC as she copes with anxiety on the "mad-pills"

OnlyJoking - DH has MS and Brain Tumour - underwent surgery yesterday, waiting for news - keep praying ......

Sooz - Computer is broken, but is getting a new one from a nice lady at the library soon - Praise the Lord!!

BedofRosesitAint - Is going to be away for 3 weeks - don't forget her! Things are going much better for her!

QQQ - Things are going well between her and DH. Prayers for her as she struggles with the decision between letting her boys go to rugby or church on a Sun morning come Sept. Prayers for finances as they are v.tight this month.

notsofarnow - Is back!! Prayers for her as health is not good right now - eye infection & stomach bug. Praise God she is getting back into a "helm" position at church! Prayers for her as she copes with a new sort of relationship with her husband.

Podglet - Hello and Welcome! Prayers for her as she has a lot going on right now - Her DGran is in final stage cancer and she would also like prayers for a friend who is in the throes of a break-up from her DH after years of lying and cheating. Prayers for her as she "finds more faith"!

NotQuiteGrownUp - Prayers for DS1 who is grumpy and struggling with the new routine of being on hols and not at school. Prayers for a wonderful time as their family head off on hols for 2 weeks!

Worzella - Prayers for her as she struggles with each day....

CaptainDippy - DH starts new job on Mon 13th Aug - prayers for her as she is feeling v.anxious about the new routine that this will mean.

Prayers for Misdee, Peter and Girls as they wait to see if Peter can have a new heart ......

Prayers for those affected by this new outbreak of Foot and Mouth.

Prayers and Praise for all of these things and for those not mentioned too - esp DutchOma who is such a wonderful and special person to have on this thread, bringing her strength, humour and wisdom to all those with requests etc

Evening all, Took me three hours today for two appointments that should have taken 15 mins in all. One was ds pre school booster, we waited 45 mins past appointment time that then made us get to the vets 20 mins after they opened which meant we were way back in the queue so we got out at 5.50. So by the time we got out I had two very bored, misbehaving pre schoolers who were hungry, dirty (after crawling round the vets floor) ugh that I needed to shower and the dog needed bathing coz he stunk after having lamp shade round his head for 10 days.

Sorry i'm whinging about nothing really but needed to get that off my chest. Have got work tomorrow and am knackered. I need a shower but when is there time for us?

Am praying for all those who need prayers honest.

NSFN Are they all in bed now? Hope you have a good day at work. Sometimes it is just the little things that get us down.
We prayed tonight at choir for all those fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan, we are doing a beautiful setting of "we will remember them" for the festival in Guildford in October and I so thought of you and of the family that buried their son this week.

Helloooo! Flying by on our lovely sunny holiday, to catch up on all your news. Special prayers for Misdee and Peter, Yorkiegirl and for Steve and OJ.

Ds1 is starting to relax a little, and to enjoy his hols, I think. Many thanks for your prayers.

Well what an odd hour to be posting on mn!
Full of stinking cold and sore throat so not able to sleep. Have got up to get some hot chocolate in the hope it'll send me back to sleep and found the Olbas oil whilst I was at it, so all in all a bonus as I can now breathe through my nose!!

On the plus side feeling very calm and peaceful so Praise God for the medication seems to be doing the trick again. Hallelujah!!

Really sorry to hear your news OJ, praying for your family. Other than prayer, can we do anything at all to help?

Rosey, big hugs to you, sorry you are having a tough time too. Praying your situation is short lived. Great news that you both recognised how tough it is though, although that doesn't make it any easier?

Gosh, I could do with a few extra hours in bed .... Did get to chill in my PJs last night though, which was nice. Even had a shower and shaved my legs - feel better for it.

DH starts new job on Mon - pray we hae a lovely weekend and don't feel too anxious about it .... .....

Evening all got a sore throat AGAIN only just got rid of one ugh.

2 youngest are watching thunder birds so i'm hoping a later night to bed means a later morning (wishful thinking)

xh looked after them today while i was in work and that is all he's done is look after them, really annoys me sometimes that even though he doesn't live here anymore his children do and it wouldn't hurt to do a little of thier stuff once in a while like ironing or maybe cutting the grass.

Praying for yorkiegirl, oj, misdee and everyone else.

Thanks forremembering Peter's family I know they appreciate all the prayers for them right now.

Have you asked exh to do these things? Men are notoriously bad at mind reading and need things to be asked in a pleasant, non confrontational voice. And be praised to high heaven when they do it... I know you shouldn't have to but...

No way am i going to ask him. He's told others that he likes the fact that he has no responsibilities so he's hardly likely to want to do any of these things is he

Thanks CD, its just horrible knowing I put such a lot of effort into it, and that I've got to write another 2 that'll be marked by this same person. Again, I seriously thought about giving up the course last night, and again I "felt" God lift me, raising my spirits, telling me not to. Guess I'd better do as I'm told then

I went to see N. on Friday. She seemed in reasonably good spirits, although upset she couldn't go home for the weekend. Her family have been away on holiday as it had been book, but are back now. She has to have an operation on Wednesday, to see what's going on, and to release the pressure on her nerves - she has what looks like Bells Palsy on one side of her face, its all dropped, almost like a stroke. The MRI showed signs on inflammation which the antibiotics weren't touching. No-one really seems to know what the prognosis is.

Oh and Happy Birthday to me!

Thanks for your good wishes and prayers! DO I like that "A new creation"... I feel like I've been moulded and reshaped sometimes.
I've met up with the tutorfor a study evening and a tutorial so far. Not on my own. Our first tutor met up with us individually, and we developed a bond because of that. He also met up with us to discuss his comments and explain them, which was also good. The way I felt when I got my essay back was like I was still at school, with scribblings all over it (and I mean ALL), and there were parts where I'd felt I'd been completely misunderstood.
If you pray for Tony, pray that he sees beyond the coursework to the individuals he is dealing with, that he sees God working in us, and that we see God working in him... thx

Well I am much happier. I have had some real "heart to hearts" with dh over the last few days and feel that we are in harmony with each other again (sorry for the cliches! I don't seem to be capable of posting without cliches tonight!) It feels like true peace has been restored. Thank you God!

We have spent most of this weekend at FIL's new house-to-be (he gets married next Sat); dh got to drive some tractors yesterday so he was happy, and the dc got to sit in the fire engine so they were happy too! (A friend said to me "I bet he's only marrying her for the fire engine!" )

Well this ummm emailing this fella off the internet dating site is going ahhh rather well. Like 6 emails off him today and alright they not really saying a lot in each one but he's obviously interested. I've sent him my pic now so he'll probalby run a mile in the other direction now.
