Christian MN Prayer Request Thread!!

CaptainDippy · 23/01/2006 09:04

Hello - Due to popular demand, I have set up this thread so that MNers can post their prayer requests!! You do not have to be a Christian to post a prayer request, but we Christians believe that prayer really works, so let us pray through a situation for you!! - Let's support and encourage one another through this facility - Here's to many MN prayers being answered!!

Hello motheroftwoboys and HRHQOQ (nice to have name back too!! ) Will pray MOTB - Sounds like a very complex and heart-rending situation that you find yourself in and I just pray for a smooth ride for you and your family as piece together the pieces of your jigsaw.

Not feeling very articulate this evening , had a bit of a crapsome day (DH has just asked me if I would like some red wine and when I replied in the afrimative, he poured me a pint of red wine - THAT'S how bad is has been!!)

Best get drinking, wouldn't want all that nice wine to go to waste now, would I!!?

thanks for your prayers - isn't God fantastic - I've got a friend (DS2's Godmother as it happens) coming round this afternoon with £60 - to pay back "when I can" (ie I don't have to panic about paying her back as soon as I get payed).

CaptainDippy · 14/02/2006 13:37

Fab news QOQ - You should post that on the "answered prayer" thread -

Cold is going veeeeeeeeery slowly and stuff is ok in the Dippy Household, just knackered!!

How is everyone else????

motheroftwoboys · 14/02/2006 15:10

You know, I feel better today. DH got me a Valentine card (has been too drunk for the past 2 years) and I went to the gym BEFORE work so am definitely much more positive. Thank you!!!

hi, just checking in to let you know we got moved ok and really wasn't too much of a panic getting packed in the end. We are settling in well and starting to find our way round. Please will you pray that we would know God's will as regards Church - we've went to one sunday which was nice and friendly and has a mum and tots group which would be great for me and dd, we're going again this week to get a further feel for the place. There is also another church we'd like to try before making a def decision. It's hard to know how much to pile ourselves into things as we're only here for 6 months and then returning home - thanks! Will try and catch up with some of the thread and keep requests in my prayers - taking longer than usual as now stuck on dial up - God bless and thanks, x

longwaytogo · 14/02/2006 20:09

Aghh poorly kids and I don't feel brill either, but please pray for my friends ministers who have recieved official complaint letter off one of their congregation complaining about their children allegedly drawing on walls, ripped two pages out of altar Bible. Just can't believe they are doing this to their ministers I thought it was about people not possessions. Plus many other children use the hall during the week not just their children.

CaptainDippy · 14/02/2006 21:09

So glad that you got moved ok Twiga - wonderful answer to prayer - Praying that you settle into a nice church soon - even if it is only for 6 months, it is still important!!

Will pray longwaytogo - "official complain letters" - what is the church coming to? Will pray for a quick resolution and for you and your children to get better and feel better really really soon - Being ill nd miserable is yukky and horrid - totally sypathising here!!

Hurrah mumoftwo - Wonderful wonderful wonderful about your DH - Long may the healing continue!! My mum is part of AA - an incredible organisation!!

Hi to all!! Lots of prayers!!

DT2 has chickenpox, DT1 will get it and I have an assignment due. Please pray that I get an extension and that they get over the pox quickly. Thanks

Oh and that I get a good amount of study done today. Ta!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/02/2006 14:49

ahem..... step away lady.

alliep30 · 16/02/2006 16:18

Thanks dippy. He had his scan today, op next week. My prev experience of christians has been that they only help "their own" and are very narrow minded.. what a refreshing change!!!!

longwaytogo · 16/02/2006 21:04

our house is a poorly house. All full of colds/chest infections/conjunctivitus.

The house we are buying have just been told floor has wet rot. and we need a surveyor to tell us if the extension is built over the main sewers. Just when we thought it was all coming together.

robinpud · 16/02/2006 22:44

Thanks to all those who have prayed for my friend's son who is fighting leukaemia. He was moved to PIC on Monday and they had an awful night but his condition is better rather than worse, although he still has a lot to contend with and is still in IC. It is his brother's birthday today so his mum has left the hospital for a little while to help him open his presents. Please keep the family in your prayers.

NASWM · 17/02/2006 18:18

Had a weird car incident this afternoon. Parked my car on a steep hill. When I went back to it another parked car had rolled in to it (they forgot to put the handbrake on). Couldn't move mine as the other one would have rolled down the hill causing another accident.

My car is drivable and should only need a new bumper and a touch of paint. I don't know why but I feel very shaken by it now. No one was hurt, thankfully, and neither car was badly damaged, but the Police said that my car had acted as the brakes for the other one.

Feel very anxious about it all. I'd appreciate a prayer. I had DSs with me at the time and they coped very well (apart from DS1 being bitten by a cat while waiting in the street...) while I dealt with the Police, the AA, insurance etc.

Need a glass of wine later when DSs in bed. DH working late unfortunately.

Sorry for long post

Lonelymum · 17/02/2006 18:21

Thinking of you NASWM. I have to confess I am usually on the other side of these things - I cause the accidents - and I know how that makes me feel afterwards, so it is understandable that you might feel a bit shaken up on the receiving end too.
