Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

Expatinscotland's 8-year old daughter A has been diagnosed with leukamia.

She does not post on MN very much at the moment and I don't know if she ever posted in the prayer thread, but I'm sure and have been told that she would like us to pray for strength and healing for her daughter. Lord have mercy.

madhairday · 26/11/2011 20:15

Praying, DO, had seen this earlier on FB, would be good to all get praying together on this thread for her.

TotallyUnheardOf · 26/11/2011 23:16

Heartfelt prayers for expat's little girl. May God keep her safe and give her mum and the rest of her family the strength they need to get through this.

blackeyedsusan · 26/11/2011 23:36

madhair, am tired and poorly which means I am extremely ratty short tempered and h has been visiting. I have to occasionally let of steam to someone.

I am still pondering where the children lie in his priorities, and what is reasonable to expect. he is baffling. I do know that he has put the childrens welfare below his desire to see/talk to his parents on a number of occasions, so am a bit hypersensitive!

sorry lost meant to say hello a couple of days ago. been in a bit of a fog of bunged up head and feeling like I have head under water. hope you survived you isolation! (scares self by imagining the start of a disaster novel where lost is one of the few survivers having been so isolated... )

blackeyedsusan · 26/11/2011 23:36

oops missed the new page Blush

blackeyedsusan · 26/11/2011 23:38

aaggggghhhhhh

2 patches of wee and a leaking glow stick. one small tube that is still 7/8ths full has gone a long way. I was supervising glow stick use til the other one weed on the floor and clothes and needed new clothes, at which point I rushed out to find clothes and rushed back when the first asked fir the pillow to be wiped only to find them glowing in the dark holding a dripping glow stick. just rushed down with dripping rinsed sheets and pillow case to stuff in the washing machine and now need to find new shet then mop up the wee in the carpet. the one on the messy mat will be tackled last. then there is the usual lunch/uniform and hanging not longer glowing washing.

DutchOma · 28/11/2011 07:39

Oh dear, I hope your day/week has started better than the old one ended (Yes, I know that Sunday is really the start of the week, but you know what I mean Grin)

Teaandcakeplease · 28/11/2011 20:28

Gosh it has been so long since I posted on here, it had dropped off my list Blush Shameful.

Interesting debate going on right now here I tried to resist but ploughed in. Oops Blush But I shall now hide from mn and put my hard hat on Grin

Hope you are all very well x

blackeyedsanta · 28/11/2011 20:39

I saw your post tea. hadn't had chance to read the thread yet. I suspect it will be "interesting"

blackeyedsanta · 29/11/2011 11:19

morning all!

PositiveAttitude · 29/11/2011 11:58

Good morning!! Smile - Just!!!

Christmas name already? Confused

blackeyedsanta · 29/11/2011 13:11

she started it!

it is advent. I have changed while I remember how!

Teaandcakeplease · 29/11/2011 13:33

BES stay away from the thread; the atheists with very strong opinions have arrived So I've hidden it. Most clichés have been quoted now. Reading everything being typed has reminded me of DC Talks quote "The biggest single cause of atheism in the world today, is Christians. They acknowledge Jesus with their lips, and then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle". I think "some" of us Christians have done a marvellous job in sabotaging our faith to the wider community Sad IYSWIM?

DutchOma · 29/11/2011 16:29

I don't think you should be so hard on yourself and other Christians TACP.
Atheists, especially those with strong opinions, love to charge Christians with all sorts of things, just because they are not perfect. At least we strive for perfection in this life, but know that we will not get there until will be made perfect by the Lord Jesus.

I'm sure I would be unbearable if I were perfect, don't you think?

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 29/11/2011 17:59

Yes of course OMA Smile But having read the thread you can probably gather why I quoted the DC Talk lyrics Sad

madhairday · 29/11/2011 18:41

Just back from the new wine/fresh expressions conference - was awesome - so good to worship together and see God at work. Not looking at that thread yet as want to just be happy for a while but will no doubt weigh in soon. hmmm...

madhairday · 29/11/2011 18:41

weigh? wade Grin

am v v v tired

thejaffacakesareonme · 29/11/2011 18:54

It must be lovely to view yourself as perfect - you can criticise everyone else just because their views are contrary to your own. I've decided not to wade into the discussion, I can't be bothered being told that because DH have been together since we were 19 that our marriage is doomed.

Anyway, I decided to de-lurk to point out that this thread is listed in the most active discussions of the day. Well done! Don't think I've seen that before.

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 29/11/2011 19:23

I hid the thread as soon as the stronger louder voiced atheists arrived Sad

I hope no one misunderstood why I quoted the DC Talk lyrics. It was just something that struck me with some of the things being stated on there.

madhairday · 29/11/2011 19:40

I actually agree with you TACP. It's sad but this is often the case :(

Know many wonderful committed christians too :)

I've waded in, can't help meself

thejaffacakesareonme · 29/11/2011 19:46

TACP - sorry, I didn't misunderstand your post. I was just a bit fed up with some of the people on the other thread that seemed to think they were so perfect and that this gave them the right to be critical of anyone who had made different life choices.

SweetestThing · 29/11/2011 20:01

Prayers for all, thinking especially of Lost and expat's little girl - comfort and healing come their way.

Things going better for me recently - feels like not before time! Have blogged here.

PA, hope your treatement is going okay and that you are not in too much discomfort.

Love and prayers to all. I can't tell you how much this thread has sustained me over the past few months. Thank you (and God!).

TotallyUnheardOf · 29/11/2011 22:02

Hello. I think of you all very often and remember you in my prayers.

Please could I ask for some for me for tomorrow. It's going to be a difficult day - going to a funeral and have been asked to say a few words. I'm dreading it, to be perfectly honest. :(
