Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

most active convos? wow.wqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqza3erffghyhhhji9o

oops ds got at the keyboard whilst i was untangling the comb that dd was using to try and curl my hair.

do you remember the incident involving cooker and toe nail parting company with toe? well it is having another go at finishing me off. it had finally regrown, more or less but was a bit jagged... and i have stabbed the corner of my toe whilst trying to straighten it... and it has been sore for a couple of days. today it turned green. very green. Envy after a bit of attention it is purply-red, swollen and sore. it probably requires a visit to the gp. currently sitting with it in hot salt water.

amberlight · 30/11/2011 09:04

TUO, prayers assured.
Praying for everyone else too.

Radiotherapy nightmares continuing. Instead of 20 mins a day, it's taking 3 hrs a day to get me lined up. Not good. Was in tears last night. And dh's eye operation is in 2 days and he's ended up with an eye infection that may delay it, which is the last thing we need right now. If any prayer can be spared, I'd be grateful.

PositiveAttitude · 30/11/2011 10:03

No prayers are "spare" Amber - all meaty, proper prayers coming from here for you and DH right now!!

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 30/11/2011 10:50

Oh Amber - praying.

After having a great time at the conference my body has now given up and I feel like crap. I just need to be well enough to get to Birmingham tomorrow to see the kids in the Young Voices concert. Please can I ask for prayers that I can just make it to that.

amberlight · 30/11/2011 10:55

Prayers heading your way, MHD...

SweetestThing · 30/11/2011 11:54

Prayers for amber and MHD - MHD, I saw your post on Facebook about this. Amber, that's so exhausting for you, both physically and emotionally. Praying for strength for you and that the radiotherapists can speed the process up for you.

blackeyedsanta · 30/11/2011 12:08

oh madhair and amber. prayers.

gingercurl · 30/11/2011 19:17

Praying as I read through.
How's the toe BES?
I hope today was OK, TUO.
Amber, praying for strength for you. Good "lining up technique" (if there is such a thing) for the staff and a speedy recovery from infection for your DH and that the surgery will be successful. Also praying for health and blessings for both of you.
MHD, pray that you are blessed with strength for tomorrow.
HOw is Bob, Oma? I've felt "nudged" to pray for him lately.

DutchOma · 30/11/2011 21:00

Thank you Gingercurl, we really do need all the prayer we can get. Some days are better than others, today was quite a bright day, the weather has a lot to do with it.

blackeyedsanta · 30/11/2011 23:20

gc it is still sore and pusy not as spectacular as yesterday. it has been dunked in hot salt water twice today. I hope iI will get time to go to the dr tomorrow.

blackeyedsanta · 30/11/2011 23:22

dd needs to go too as she has a possible water infection and the inevitable accidents. she is on a trip tomorrow and it could be quite hard for her if she has an accident.

TotallyUnheardOf · 01/12/2011 00:19

Thanks for your prayers. Today was as good as it could have been in the circs. I didn't have to say my bit in the end as it was literally impossible for all the people who went to get into the crematorium, so I ended up stuck outside. 400-mile round trip, though, so I am pretty drained now.

Praying for you, Amber, that they manage to refine the radiotherapy technique so it doesn't take so long for you. That sounds so frustrating and distressing.

Also for you, MHD. Look after yourself.

And for you and your dd, BES.

blackeyedsanta · 01/12/2011 07:19

please pray for safe driving and being able to get 3 drs appointments today. ds as up several hours with ear ache and refused medicine.

blackeyedsanta · 01/12/2011 10:41

safely home after one school run. ds is doing an impression of being perfectly well. he did have a 20 min tantrum because he refused to eat breakfast until it went in the fridge so we could go to scchool and then he let everybody kno about it.

MaryBS · 01/12/2011 11:38

I got lost for a bit, but am praying... am supposed to be writing a meditation on "light", specifically candles, and knew I'd quoted something on here which sounded quite profound, so I came and nicked it back :)

Must get on... :), will try to catch up later. God bless us all this Advent and always :)

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 01/12/2011 17:36

God bless you too Mary :)

I haven't been able to get to the concert today but the dc are happy dh is going. Very sad though. Feel like I let them down so much.

SweetestThing · 01/12/2011 20:57

Prayers continuing for all. Amber, thinking especially of you and praying that tomorrow goes well for you and Peter.

blackeyedsanta · 01/12/2011 22:57

Sad mhd

ds has been to the dr. has soluable paracetamol which I have been advised to disolve in squash or coke. (the gp had a medicine refuser as well. ) that has gone down and his antibiotics got stirred into his dinner. Envy banana and garlic flavour! i am wondering how to get his medicine down him in the morning. there is no infection in his last samples. it is just toddler diarrhoea and not going to go away anytime soon. (as we approach the new year it will be 3 years of it so I am getting a bit fed up!)

ds has a sore bum because he pooed while i was on the phone to h. his mum has been admitted to hospital as she is dizzy, low bp and high temp. they are going to do a ct scan on her head to see if any tumours are there. there is something on her lung. it is a bit crap because she did not even get to 6 months before it reappeared. (average 2.5 yrs)

dd has to reapply her cream. (me that is)

I think i will need to go to the dr tomorrow about the toe. it is not as bad as it was at first but it is not getting any better.

hoping for more than 4 hours sleep. just soaking the toe and then off to collapse.

blackeyedsanta · 02/12/2011 14:47

here i am again... toe in a bol of hot salty water. tis getting a bit tedious no.

hope all is ell wwith all. mary have you finished that meditation yet?

blackeyedsanta · 02/12/2011 19:37

bowl/now/ well grrrrr

gingerbreadhousecurl · 03/12/2011 10:12

Sorry to just drop in and rush off. Will be back later.
Could do with some prayer support. Am off to meet my friend I mentioned on the other thread. We're taking the boys out to the park, but she called this morning to say that she wanted to go to a church coffee morning first would I like to come along? I agreed to go with her, but it turns out that the church is the Christadelphians Hmm. So could I ask you to pray for protection for her and insight, wisdom and "right words" for me and that we will get a good chance to talk while the boys are playing afterwards.

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 03/12/2011 10:51

Praying, ginger, and BES too.

Another day of crapness here. Was so looking forward to seeing Blue later but too ill. I want to get into christmas craft and all sort for the dc but just can do nothing. It's all rubbish.

DutchOma · 03/12/2011 11:02

So sorry to hear about your 'crapness' MHD. Praying for breath and light and joy.

Is this the friend who got involved with the Jehova's witnesses as well. Praying that you will have an opportunity to explain what mainstream Christianity is all about. Mind you, I have no idea what the Christadelphians believe and in what way they differ from (other) Christians.

Notquitegrownup · 03/12/2011 11:56

Hello Ladies

Flying by! BES have you tried a medicine dummy for your little one? They are supposed to be for babies but mine used them for years. You put the dose of medicine in the back of the dummy, get them to pop the dummy in, then squeeze the handle so that the medicine slides in almost unnoticed.

Inbetween doses, you can put other yummier things in the dummy so that they don't just associate it with medicine (though it has to be something sticky - juice escapes through the seal!)
