Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

sorry, posting fast before ds deletes/types. the last 3 letters are a coded message from a 3 year old I think it says I want to type too.

Bluetinkerbell · 03/12/2011 15:13

please can I have some prayers for a smooth move of house without too much hassle and stress? thank you! :)

JentlyDoesIt · 03/12/2011 19:22

Hi all,

Praying for all toes, house moves, friends, poorly-nessses etc

BES - yes, it's pretty tough at the moment. Not only is Christmas on its way, but the first year of DP being away too (16th) DD asked Father Christmas for her daddy to be home today, broke my heart Sad Sad

Still, paste the bright smile on, grit teeth & get through another day... Praying for you all as we enter this wonderful, thankful time of year xx

JentlyDoesIt · 03/12/2011 19:40

Blush that last bit sounds dreadfully sarcastic Blush I truly am thankful for everything I do have and do love this time of year! Sorry...

blackeyedsanta · 04/12/2011 00:08

not quite grown up, I apologise for missing your earlier post. thanks for the link. the gp prescribed soluable paracetamol and that has gone down well. also the antibiotics have gone down in milk.

please could you pray for us. ds has just been very sick. dd and i are now in the firing line for tomorrow. (given where i think he caught it from) It is going to be a long night tonight looking after him and a long day tomorrow cleaniing up. Sad Envy he is tucked up on the floor at the moment. about to join him.

DutchOma · 04/12/2011 07:56

How are things this morning BES

blackeyedsanta · 04/12/2011 14:51

hi dutch. I have finally had a coffee, just. the cot has been cleaned out and ds has gone back to sleep. dd has been released from her bedroom and is waiting to use the computer reading over my shoulder. I am shattered as i finally got to sleep at 1 10am but got up a few minutes later to change his nappy and finally asleep at 2.45am. ds and I slept on the living room floor(cushions for me, changemat for ds) but he was, thankfully, not sick again. I have yet to sluice off the bedding. that is the next job. I am incredibly slo today due to lack of sleep and fuzzy cold head. I am making a sloth look speedy and energetic today.

DutchOma · 04/12/2011 15:09

That still sounds very tough BES Maybe best take a leaf out of the sloth's book and not move any more than you absolutely have to.

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 04/12/2011 15:21

Oh BES - praying.

Jently - gosh it must be so hard for you, my heart goes out to you so much. Praying that this Christmas will be a wonderful time for you and you will know the hope and joy of Jesus' birth in a special way. lots of prayers.

Thanks for prayers. My poorly lungs are feeling a bit happier and I have a stinking cold which is always a good thing as it breaks up all the yuk (sorry tmi.) I feel quite happy about the shivers and aches attached to a cold - odd like that Grin

blackeyedsanta · 04/12/2011 17:19

just doing the bare essentials DO. going to try and get tea on soon. not sure what they will fancy really. ds may still only be up to nibbling on plain biscuits.

madhair. glad your lungs are feeling better, shame you have to have acold to achieve that. Sad

MaryBeWaiting · 05/12/2011 08:13

Thanks BES, hope you had a better night's sleep. The meditation got finished and I used it last night in a Taize service - it seemed to go down very well, thank God. In fact the whole service went well, and we had a good turnout! Its the first time I've led a service in front of my new vicar so I felt quite nervous.

blackeyedsanta · 05/12/2011 20:31

glad it went well.

PositiveAttitude · 06/12/2011 06:24

Prayers for everyone. I am here, just not posting too much at the moment.

blackeyedsanta · 06/12/2011 11:25

dd is sick now and I feel like joining her. up in the night wihth her

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 06/12/2011 11:56

Poor dd, BES, praying she gets better soon.

You OK PA?

So glad the meditation went well Mary :)

Have heard from lostafrica, she is OK but hard to settle somwhere new with a broken leg, however she is beginning to heal a bit now :) Her dc are liking their new school and she has found a good new church.

PositiveAttitude · 06/12/2011 12:21

Thanks for asking MHD, I am really good at the moment thanks. Life is a bit of a whirlwind, but it is now easy for me to look at the annoying/bad bits (like the situation at church) and think "it's ok, we wont be here for long!" Wink But we are still far enough away from the "goodbye" to not worry about that part yet, IYSWIM.
How's your cold today? And how is DD getting on at school now?

amberlight · 06/12/2011 13:15

Hi all
Reading and praying

blackeyedsanta · 06/12/2011 19:27

joined dd in being sick. poor ds is being left to entertain himself. please pray that I can feed him/change him and get him to bed between bouts of sickness. just popped down to give him a banana. will have to run in a mo to be sick again.

blackeyedsanta · 07/12/2011 10:13

supervising ds's breakfast. he is the only one eating. upset as dd has been sick again which means we are missing the christmas performance tonight. I hope that she is better for tomorrow.

feelvery fragile, like I have been thumped in the stomach several times. was being ill for 5 hours. i wish i could stay in bed all day , but a small boy needs feeding and a small girl needs company and providing with water and entertainment.

amberlight · 07/12/2011 13:15

BES, heck...prayers assured. And for everyone else too.

Here, could do with a few for an old friend of ours, N, who is in intensive care after some major strokes. They have a young daughter, L.

And I'm off to th see the consultant later to discuss whether I can stay on one of the drugs that's keeping the cancer from returning or not. Prayers could be much appreciated.

PositiveAttitude · 07/12/2011 16:41

Prayers Amber and BES.

blackeyedsanta · 07/12/2011 16:45

how did it go amber?

amberlight · 08/12/2011 09:59

It went ok, really. We've agreed that I should continue for the time being and see how bad the side effects get. Xmas Confused It sort of makes sense, but it's still a bit scary.

LittleDonkeyhadaMadHairDay · 08/12/2011 11:52

Amber - glad it went ok but it is always a hard decision for this type of thing. Hope the side effects don't get bad at all.

BES, poor you, any better today?

PA, thanks, dd is getting on better now at school, no more bullying about her psoriasis. Bit of a situation yesterday where she got upset as she had to make a decision between going carol singing at school or going to guides but it seems kind of resolved. I just feel sad because I couldn't get to watch her carol singing anyway because it's outside and I can't do that. Wish they would have one in the hall as well in the school day. :( Feeling sad.
